Audi Des Moines is my new best dealership! I bought my 2015 Q5 from another auto dealership in Des Moines from which my husband and I had purchased multiple cars over the past 12 years. I wasn' I bought my 2015 Q5 from another auto dealership in Des Moines from which my husband and I had purchased multiple cars over the past 12 years. I wasn't made aware of the emissions lawsuit against Volkswagen or that my car was included in the claim settlement that resulted from that lawsuit. The dealership just forwarded the recall letter to me with a voicemail stating that I would have to deal with an Audi dealership to have the emissions recall work completed. No referral to Audi Des Moines, no help with the issue whatsoever! I thought I'd made a serious mistake buying the car and I dreaded changing dealerships! What a great surprise it was when I began the recall repair process with Brian at Audi Des Moines! From start to finish, he was professional, knowledgeable about the claim settlement from Volkswagen and the emissions recall/repair process, helpful and friendly. He told me it would be a full-day repair and my car was ready for me at the time he promised. He told me that as part of the claim settlement, I would have an Audi loaner car to drive that day and a Q5 was ready for me as soon as I dropped off my car. Great service, lovely service center and professional employees! Audi Des Moines is my Q5's new home for any and all future service needs. More
I've been disappointed in my audi and the care. Enjoyed my Audi at first. Brought it in in August 2017 for routine maintenance and brake work and tire rotation was done. Afterwards it was loud and felt like it fibrates when going over 65. Went back and complained about it, was told it was nothing to worry about. I often drive customers and friends in this car and many of them made comments about this (not good marketing). Brought it in just now and explained I was still unhappy with the way it is driving and if they could take it on the highway to experience my issue. Car was given back to me and no comment was made about this and I also do not think they test drove it. I know I need new tires, which might contribute, but I did not new tires in August when this first started. The guys are nice and very friendly, but I feel like I'm not heard and taken care of. Oil Change I purchased the prepaid oil change, so at the appropriate interval, I scheduled the service. When I checked in, it was assumed that I was there for a I purchased the prepaid oil change, so at the appropriate interval, I scheduled the service. When I checked in, it was assumed that I was there for a 35K service and they started to list all of the things that would be done for $600 +. I was taken aback because and assumed I was just there for an oil change. I decided not to have the other service work done as I just wasn't prepared for that, and needed to do some research to figure out what was really going on. In a perfect world, when I purchased the certified vehicle with 31K miles on it, I would have realized that I had a major service on the horizon. I got my loaner and headed to work. Ultimately, they found an issue with my brakes and performed the service under warranty. They needed to keep my car over night, so I kept my loaner longer. My research validated that 35K was an expected major, and I will likely schedule that work to be done. My experiences with their service department have always been positive, and it was this time as well. My only issue was being caught off guard by the major service that they were prepared to do. More
