It shook and almost bounced in the front suspension when I accelerated and became dangerous in my opinion at 80 mph, so that's as fast as I took it. Then, I told DJ to get the bounce checked and get me a buy sheet, and the deal is done. After four hours, he still could not get a buy sheet to me to present to my banker, and he assured me that the bounce that he and I felt together was due to cold tires. He said obviously I am not accustomed to driving Audi's. Well, if that's how they drive, I don't want to be, and I still have no buy sheet. I took off work yesterday to take care of this, and my choice now is to head to Park Place. Even DJ at Dallas Audi said that Park Place is on a different plane than their rinky dink little show down the street. A man walked in as I left, and I stood there to watch. They all divulged on him and probably would have sold him a xxxx car if he wanted one. I just wanted to buy a car, and they will not sell it to me. I first visited Audi Dallas with my boyfriend who was looking for a Q7 and myself an A6. A colleague recommended Brandon Davis so we reached out to him. Brandon asked that we come in anytime other than Saturday because it would be a madhouse. We couldn't make that happen before 7pm closing during the week, so we went on a Saturday which he was available. We told him the competitive brand cars we were looking at and he bashed all of them. According to him Audi is the hottest car on the market right now which is why they hardly have any in stock and they sell at almost MSRP because they are so hard to find. He did claim that we shouldn't use our supplier pricing because he could do better than that on his own. (After my purchase and other dealings I find that hard to believe) They had NO new Q7's available for test drive, but they did have used. We obliged and while he was looking for one (no surprise, they didn't have what we wanted...black on black) one pulled up in the drive from a test drive. He claims someone must have been hiding it for a customer because it wasn't in the system. We were in the market for a new car due to a supplier pricing discount available through our employers, so we chose to leave. For him, he never bought an Audi. Several months later I was ready to purchase and contacted Brandon via email and phone and let him know exactly what I was looking for with options if he couldn't find what I wanted exactly. He pushed to get me to come to the dealership so he could show me the car. We picked a time that worked and I drove the 30-45 minutes to get to the dealership. When I arrived he said he sees alot of emails and asked me to tell him again what I was looking for, so this was my first irritation. I told him what else I was comparing and he again bashed the competitors and immediately went into details about the Audi that didn't matter to me. I stopped him and told him this is what I wanted and to see if they had it or not. He went to look in the computer and he comes back saying he found the perfect car for me, it had everything I wanted. He pulled it up front and I sat down in the car. I could tell something wasn't right and it turns out he grabbed a Prem. Plus, not a Prestige. So back inside we go and he ends up telling me he doesn't have what I want. How hard would it have been to look into that before he made me drive all the way down there in rush hour traffic? I returned to speak to the manager, Brett Honeycutt, and told him of my frustrations and how I didn't feel that they wanted to work with me. He was very nice and ensured me that they would like to earn my business and that he would do whatever he needed to do to find the car that I wanted and he would have it brought in for me if necessary. We spoke a day later and he found 2 cars that fit what I was looking for and offered me a very attractive deal. It was on par with what I was receiving from Boardwalk Audi with my supplier pricing and they already had the car on the lot, and it was closer to my house, so I opted not to pursue it any further. I do appreciate Brett's dedication to remediate my bad experience, but at the end of the day I think the damage had already been done. I just do not like their sales approach. More
I called Audie Dallas to inquire about the 2013 A6. I spoke with John Paul who goes by the name JP. Immediately upon meeting JP I was blown away. He was a fast talking uninformed car salesman. He saw the car I was driving and quickly told me that it didn't compare to an Audi. He asked if it was an 07. It was a 2011. JP was right, the two cars didn't compare. The Audi had 120 less horsepower. I did like the Audi though and wanted to buy one with a bigger engine. I asked about pricing on the larger engine with the same features as the car we test drove. JP had NO CLUE what the prices were. He couldn't even ball park me. I actually left not knowing if the car I wanted was in the $50K range or $75K range. He couldn't say. I also asked about any financing incentives that may be offered through Audi. He scoffed at me and said that 90% of his clients just pay cash for cars. He acted as if I wasn't worth his time because I wasn't paying cash. Bear in mind, JP is wearing a broken FAKE Rolex and sells cars for a living and is scoffing at me. I was polite and asked a few other questions which he did his best to answer in general. He didn't seem to have a lot of time to help me. Overall I spent about an hour with him. He NEVER followed up with me at all. Not once. I actually bought the exact car I asked JP about the next day from Boardwalk Audi even though that dealership is about a 30 minute drive from my home. The trip to Boardwalk is terribly inconvenient but I would NEVER spend a nickel at Audi Dallas. A fast talking, arrogant car salesman with ill fitting clothes and a fake Rolex treating me like I'm indigent because I can't pay cash for a $65K car is very off-putting. Boardwalk Audi was a relief. We had a horrible experience with this dealership and will NEVER go back. We ordered a brand new beautiful car and waited 3 months for it to come in. Once the car finally arrived, the agreed upon price will NEVER go back. We ordered a brand new beautiful car and waited 3 months for it to come in. In addition once the car arrived, the discount we were suppose to receive, and the dealer had agreed to previously, was no longer accepted. Therefore the agreed upon price now rose by 16%. To top it off, we asked them to hold the car for 1 day while we discussed our options, and they sold it that day. Before they notified us they were selling it. This is a dealership with no loyalty and terrible sales skills. I would not recommend your time, money, or heart ache!! More

BUYERS BEWARE!!! BAIT AND SWITCH!!!!!!!!! BUYERS BEWARE!!! BAIT AND SWITCH!!!!!!!!! After working with a very good sales person, Tom Hutton over at this Audi Dealership I had the BUYERS BEWARE!!! BAIT AND SWITCH!!!!!!!!! After working with a very good sales person, Tom Hutton over at this Audi Dealership I had the unfortunate chance of having to work with his manager Brett Honeycutt. Audi Corporate had been involved trying to help locate a certified car for me. They had two cars listed as certified on their site, cars.com and Auto trader. . The ad even made mention of the rigorous mechanical check and standards that it had to meet to be Audi certified. The one I was interested was listed as a 2010 with 15k on the clock for 56,998. I went through the process of having them evaluate my trade on Wednesday with Brett, we got close to a price on the car they had. Brett showed me the computer screen affirmed it was certified, had new tires and told me of the 1700 dollars they needed to send to Audi. Tom, the sales rep had followed up with me via email a day later encouraging me to take the deal. In the matter of a week this all took place. On that Saturday I spoke with Brett again who tried backing out of the deal saying that even though the car was advertised on their website and other outlets that it had not even been through their shop yet. Keep in mind all negotiations had been done on the basis this was a CPO car, which would be financed at a CPO rate and advertised as CPO. I told him I would just come down rather than have that conversation on the phone. That Saturday I went into Audi of Dallas with a friend who is in the business as well and spoke with Wayne Wright, the GM. The sales rep, Manager, Wayne myself and friend all went through the story. Wayne than said I could pay him an additional 3 grand if I wanted to buy the car certified, even though it had been listed as such. The GM Wayne was quite arrogant and continued to tell me “their business was growing so fast they didn’t need my business”. Keep in mind this car is 63 new, was a yr old and had 15k on the clock. So essentially he was now asking 60k for a car that he had listed for 57k, where his sales team had previously presented 53k for this car listed at 57k. I presented Wayne with all the documentation, including emails, ads etc. He referred to the disclaimer at the bottom of the ad and said I can get 56 for the car. I am not selling it to you for 53k which was presented din the email. He played a game of semantics and said it doesn’t say certified in those emails. After a 20 minute discussion the truth had come out. Two weeks later they still have it listed as certified for 56,998 on all three sites, including their own. Wayne has poor manners and even worse customer service skills. Shame on you. I could not be happier I did not do business with them. Wayne forgets in business you should always treat the customer with respect. I sent all the documents to the Attorney General. Thankfully I had a witness for the meeting. More
Run as fast as you can AWAY from University Park Audi unless you want to be confronted with hard-sale tactics, as those offered up to me by Mr. Al Moten, the then-manager of Pre-Owned Vehicles. While he kept reassuring me prior to the completion of the transaction that his ultimate goal was to make sure that I was a happy customer, despite his repeated hounding of me with "are we going to do business today?", he did not even offer up a simple "thank you" to me for the business once I entered the finance manager's office to complete the paperwork. As far as he was concerned, his job was done and it was no longer necessary to have any dialogue with me. Within the first 48 hours after having taken possession of the "new" car, I decided I was unhappy with the vehicle and contacted Mr. Moten about returning it and getting my trade-in back. I was told that my car had already been sold (how is this possible between Saturday at 3:00 p.m. and the following morning at 8:30 a.m.?). What a crock of b.s., particularly given that the title for my trade-in still reflected my information, as confirmed by my previous lender that very Monday morning. The dealership's General Manager (his name escapes me) was equally as disinterested in ensuring that I was a happy customer, which was nothing less than highly frustrating and disappointing. If anything, his attitude toward me was smug and arrogant. There was absolutely NO GOODWILL demonstrated by this dealership, and the malarcky about ensuring that I was happy customer was about as sincere as a friendship between Hillary Clinton and George Bush. Without question, I would never recommend this dealership to anyone, nor will I ever be a repeat Audi driver, period. Had my experience with UP Audi not been so disenchanting, I might not feel the same way about the Audi brand as I do today. PS...for whatever it's worth, UP Audi might want to demonstrate some proof-reading skills regarding their free promotional items (e.g., the cheesy leather keyring) and signage in their service area for spelling areas. It should be a red flag that if a luxury car dealership cannot master the simplest of things such as spelling, the chances that they have mastered the art of customer service are highly doubtful. In their words, I am "EXTREMLY" disappointed with my experience at this dealership. More
My wife and I first went to University Park Audi in the fall to enquire about a 2007 A4 Avant. We got a sales lady who was very uninformed about both cars, and couldn't answer any of our questions. She introduced us to the General Manager, Chuck Austein, who made off-color comments to us, so we got turned off and left. A few weeks later, we wanted to reconsider the Audi. So, we went back to University Park Audi and got Debra Davidson this time. She seemed more knowledgeable about Audi, though she wasn't very friendly. We drove the A4 Avant and liked it, but really liked the Q7. Within a day, we thought we'd decided on the car. My wife called Chuck Austein to enquire about price; he assured her that he would match the price of any dealer in Texas. We knew exactly what options we wanted on the car, and wanted to stay within our price range. Since University Park Audi didn’t have a Q7 with exact equipment in inventory, my wife spoke to a couple of other dealers in the area/region, one of whom had one, and offered (unsolicited) to sell it at invoice. A day later, my wife and Debra had a conversation; my wife explained that she’d found a car in the area with the color and equipment we wanted, and that the dealer offered it to us at invoice. She also told her that we would buy the car from University Park Audi, if they offer us a good price. Later that day, Debra called her back and gave her UP Audi’s best price, which was over $2,500 above invoice. When my wife told her that we would then get the car from another dealer around invoice, Debra rudely told her that she'd found the car we wanted and had already requested it, and that University Park Audi was now the only way to get it! Shocked by the approach, my wife called Chuck a day later to discuss the issue with him directly. She reminded him that he had personally offered to match the price of any dealer in Texas. He didn’t discuss price with her; rather, he replied that maybe, with our budget, we shouldn't be driving an Audi, and that perhaps we should consider another car! Then, Chuck added that he does not want to do business with people who are price sensitive, and that we (price-conscious types) are not the types of customers he wanted to work with, so we can go get our car somewhere else! My wife told him that we could buy anything he has on the lot, but that we had set what we wanted to pay. She protested that this is no way to deal with customers, and that this approach is what turned us off Audi the first time we visited. He hung up on her mid-sentence! Absolutely shocking! Note that I do not take issue with the Chuck’s refusal to sell the car at the price we want. I can respect his decision to sell his products at whatever price makes sense for his business. This is about his base attitude, treatment and insults. he and Debra exemplify the worst in sleazy used car sales people. Having people of this caliber in charge of sales reflects poorly on the dealership, its owners and on the Audi brand. If this is how he deals with people when he sells cars, imagine how they deal with you when you service your car. My wife and I are both young, educated professionals with high incomes. We both drive BMWs and everyone we know drives cars over $40K. With this treatment, these idiots have cost the dealer (and Audi) our business and those of our friends and family. We really liked the car, and were virtually sold on it until Cheeseball Chuck showed his charms. This poor experience has overshadowed the high quality of Audi’s products. With so much competition for our dollars, no one should have to endure this type of treatment. In short: Stay away from University Park Audi; what they lack in honesty and integrity, they make up for in ignorance and belligerence. More
I had gone to the dealership since I had noticed some oil spots from the rear diff. I told them to look over the rear diff or in that area to see if there was a leak. A few days later I see fresh spots on the ground again(was double checking), took the car to baillargeon this time. They called me later on that day telling me that the rear diff. seal was going to be replaced. Never been to University park since. More
I had researched the exact car I wanted on their website and when I got there, I test drove it, decided I wanted it, and bought it. He was exceptionaly pleasant to work with and I would recommend him to anyone wanting to buy an Audi from UP Audi. <br><br>Although I had pre-arranged financing from an outside source, their "finance manager" kept trying to get me to finance with them even though I made it very clear that I wasn't interested in outside financing. He was not pleasant to deal with, all smiles and sighs but underneath it all you could tell he was peeved by the fact I wouldn't allow them to finance my car instead. I understand his confusion as he was offering me a better interest rate, but he wasn't aware that my car's payment is a tax write off for my business and the higher the payment the more of a tax deduction it is. I didn't bother telling him that because he kept trying to make me feel like an idiot. So, as far as their finance guys go, the one I dealt with, Oma or something, it wasn't a pleasant experience AND I DIDN'T EVEN NEED FINANCING!<br><br>But as far as everyone else, especially Phil, it was a great car buying experience and I intend to go back to them in a couple of years when I buy my next Audi.
