The Worst Experience Ever with a Car Dealership! I'll preface my post with a little about me. I hold an active Federal Security Clearance, which allows me to assume positions of trust and operate in that space. Which is to say, I am clean. The two banks I am a member of are Navy Federal and USAA. I am a veteran. My story, I walked into Audi Central yesterday (16 August 2025) with my wife, and I was dressed in gym clothing. I make eye contact with a salesman as I enter, and he turns in his chair and non-verbally cues another salesman to engage (Mental note #1). He walks over and asks may I help you. I say yes, but first, my name is Wil, and my wife is XXX. What's your name? There was no greeting or introduction until I initiated (Mental note #2). So I say, I want to get my car appraised because I want to buy one of your cars. He takes my keys and off he goes. He returns and says, the car is new, but it's a four-cylinder, and I say, That's the reason I am here. I want a six-cylinder car of the same model, because your dealership offers great manager discounts and rebates. After he looks over the car I purchased on 04 August 25 (2025 Audi Q7), he heads over to the upper crust's table and comes back with a low-ball appraisal (Mental note #3). I thanked him and started to leave. He stops me, re-engages his manager, and returns with a much better offer. I agree, and he gets started on the paperwork. I opened my Navy Federal Credit Union app and provided him with the 15-day payoff. He returns and shoves an Audi credit application at me, and I say, I don't need your financing, I have already secured financing with USAA. I show him my pre-approval from USAA. So, he runs off again and comes back with the final invoice. I called USAA, and they emailed him the funding notice. He acknowledges receipt, removes the plates from the car I just traded, and places them on the new car. I go to retrieve my items from the traded car, and he walks up behind me and says, there is something wrong with the title. I then say, "I don’t understand what you're talking about." Don't you have in-house employees to address titles? He then says that, after receiving the funding from USAA and the payoff information from Navy Federal, he needs to see my credit report to verify that my NFCU loan is listed on my credit report. At this point, I'm mentally saying, these guys think I am trying to commit a crime of some sort (Mental note #4). Suffices to say, after all that, I did not get the car and wasted the better part of the morning, indicted of some crime by Audi Central of Houston, when there is no crime in upgrading to a new vehicle. To make matters worse, after being judged for dishonesty, no manager dared walk out to explain why they denied the sale. Finally, be aware that when purchasing a new car, there are two non-negotiable fees that you will be charged. One, for window tinting and a warranty for paint chips and seat tears. I bought car June 10, tomorrow my temporary plates expire and dealership doesn’t have metal plates for me. And the only explanation that they come up with is that system changed at the beginning of July. How and dealership doesn’t have metal plates for me. They didn’t offer to print new temporary paper plates for me. They just told me to wait when my current paper plates expire and then I need to wait for metal plates. What is nonsense because other dealership still receiving plates for customers from June. More

Our experience with Audi Central Houston was excellent. Our salesperson, Chris Hall was knowledgeable and very thorough in explaining the car’s features. We never felt pushed into buying the vehicle.
