Thank you for your feedback! I believe I've identified why you would have not been charged previously for Adblue top offs. I reviewed your vehicle history as well as the information pertaining to your TDI warranty extension that would cover Adblue top offs. Top offs were covered on your vehicle under the warranty extension until 141,639 miles when the extension expired. When you brought your vehicle in to us it had 141,766 miles. So you are absolutely correct, the previous dealerships as well as ours would not have charged you anything for those top offs as they were covered by your TDI warranty extension. Unfortunately, your vehicle was outside the warranty extension when you brought it to us. You were only charged $17.92 for the Adblue fluid needed and the remainder was labor and taxes to add the fluid and use the computer to clear the message. I sincerely apologize if a clear explanation of the above information was not given to you during your visit and I can certainly understand how that could create confusion related to why there would be a charge. I'm happy to answer any other questions you may have and I hope the above explanation brings clarity. Thank you for allowing us to service your vehicle!
