My biggest issue with Audi Cary was the pressure to purchase add ons the day that I picked up my vehicle. I waited 2 months longer than I was told I would have to wait for my car, and given that I und purchase add ons the day that I picked up my vehicle. I waited 2 months longer than I was told I would have to wait for my car, and given that I understood that the delay was not the dealers fault, I was happy and in a rush to pick up my vehicle when I suddenly got a text it had arrived with no warning. Everything with sales and finance had been fine until I came in, clearly asking if an 1.5 hours would be sufficient, and after waiting for an hour, I was blindsided by finance with about 20 different add on options with varying terms, levels, etc... And, I was told that I was going to lose a lot of money if I didn't sign up that day, as the primary add ons had to be purchased at that moment. I said no, but the finance staff continued to pressure me to purchase extended warranty and maintenance. There was no way that I could adequately review the options, and I ended up missing an important meeting as a result of trying to do so. It was very stressful, and after giving into the pressure, I ended up coming in the next day to cancel the add ons that I had purchased. I know this to be a common dealership sales technique, and while it may work to get people to buy more, it leads to customer dissatisfaction. Given the time this process took, I got very little instruction on use and features of my new vehicle, which definitely led to further dissatisfaction with my purchase. Sales and finance staff are trained to handle things this way, so the change has to come from management. If there is true savings in the add ons, why not give customers the opportunity to review the information for a week or two so that they can make informed decisions and be happy with the purchase as a result? I left late, stressed, upset, and without any formal introduction to my new Audi. More
