I stopped in with my 2002 Audi A4 for a recall. It was my first time at this dealership, and I have to say that the level of prof. and customer service were unmatched by any of the other dealers I have been first time at this dealership, and I have to say that the level of prof. and customer service were unmatched by any of the other dealers I have been to. The attention to detail and the fact that they do a complementary inspection with every service (even a recall) is amazing.I will highly recommend this dealer to all of my friends and family, and will definitely be back. I've given an excellent rating because my husband and I are happily entering our 4th yr with the Burlington Audi Service Dept. They take customer service to the next level. I test drove a certified A4 cabriolet at this dealership on a weekend afternoon. I saw the car on the Autotrader/Herb Chambers website and drove over an hour to the dealership after making an appointment o on a weekend afternoon. I saw the car on the Autotrader/Herb Chambers website and drove over an hour to the dealership after making an appointment over the phone. The salesperson I met was very friendly, showed me the car I was looking for, explained all the features and took me for a test drive. Before driving the car, the salesperson explained the prices on the website were firm "SMART" pricing which priced the vehicle about $2K above comparably equipped certified Audis A4 cabriolets in the area. I hadn't seen this on the website but I took the drive anyway to experience the car and give him a chance, especially since I'd driven so far and given up my afternoon. They were able to negotiate on the trade-in but this still left the price of the vehicle too high compared to other available cars with more features. There offer on the trade-in was also not any better than what I'd received at other dealerships. Both the salesperson and the sales manager worked hard but we were unable to come to an agreement. Unfortunately, a week later I discovered an email in my junk email folder with an offer to reduce the price of the car another $500 or so. By that time I'd already purchased another certified A4 cabriolet that I consider a much better value (price vs. mileage/options) another dealership. I found it dissapointing that the "SMART" pricing was so much higher than comparable vehicles and that I didn't know about it until I had driven all the way to the dealership. The vehicle was clean and perfect but not any more clean and perfect than any other CPO A4 cabriolet I'd driven. Additionally, the other vehicles I saw online had more options than the car at Herb Chambers despite being priced around $2K less. It was probably my fault for not finding the details about "SMART" pricing before going to the dealership but I'd come to the vehicle listing directly from Autotrader.com. I went to the dealership to see the car assuming the price I'd seen on the internet would be negotiable like others. I'd also missed the $400 internet coupon but my salesperson was kind enough to mention and honor it anyway. Perhaps this information was available somewhere else on the Herb Chambers website but being only interested in the car listing and contact information I didn't see it. Overall, my experience with Herb Chambers on the sales side was good, especially with the people I dealt with there. Everyone was friendly, courteous and seemed to want my business. With the final price I left with, I didn't feel the vehicle was a good value given the options and pricing compared to all others that I'd driven/researched. Later, I didn't like that they decided to send me an email after I'd left the dealership with their lowest price instead of negotiating it while I was there. I would have much preferred coming to a conclusion in person especially since I didn't receive the message until much later due to it being filtered to my junk email folder. I'd already walked out the door disappointed. It would have gone much better and likely resulted in my being able to purchase the car if they'd earned my business at the dealership instead of relying on contacting me after the fact. More
The Herb Chambers team helped me getting a convenient service appointment set up, and also performed other (warrantied) services on my vehicle proactively for me, so that I could avoid taking multiple tr service appointment set up, and also performed other (warrantied) services on my vehicle proactively for me, so that I could avoid taking multiple trips to the dealership. Even thoguh there is another Audi dealership in the town I live in, I chose to drive over an hour (when I am in the area for work) to go to Herb Chambers. Great team here! More
