I think the orientation to the car could have been a little more thorough, I’m going to have to reach out with some questions. Not the dealers fault, the documentation is vague and the videos are not specific to my model. Also, I was told a 1st aid kit was included which I did not get. I was stunned to discover that the car has no spare tire. I think that should have been mentioned since I was clear I’d be doing regular long distance trips. That fact may have influenced our decision. For a company that focuses on safety, I’d expect to have a spare available when needed. More

My Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) had been intermittent and then finally quit working, so I brought it in for service. I loved the explainer video from the tech showing the diagnostic readout and then show and then finally quit working, so I brought it in for service. I loved the explainer video from the tech showing the diagnostic readout and then showing the "guts" opened up in the passenger footwell where the camera module was located, and he also showed where the camera in the rearview mirror was. He had to wait for another module to swap, but once he did that, he showed another video pointing out that the fault was still there and narrowing it down to the camera being the culprit. Sadly, I guess these items are unique to the S8, as another waiting game happened. However, Audi of Allentown had given me a nice A5 S-line loaner. We even drove it to Ohio for a wedding. Later, I swapped the A5 for a Q8 SUV. Finally, word came down that the camera part would not be coming from the Fatherland after all, so they sent the faulty camera to a local refurb shop, which had it back and installed in a few days. Tyler kept me well-informed and was apologetic on behalf of Audi. I drove away happy to be back in the amazing S8 (with a stage 1 tune) ;-) More
