The entire experience from introduction and test drive was very smoothly handled including the closing of the deal. The nest day I returned to have the aftermarket tires and wheels exchanged for the original tires. This was also handled very professionally and quicklly. More
Purchased my 2005 Dodge Ram Diesel 2500 in January 2005. I have had it exclusevely serviced at Magnussen's as they take 10% off of parts for those who purchase their vehicles from Magnussens. I also purchased the extended service warranty which Magnussen's disclosed would be bought back at the end of the policy term if I had not used the policy. That was an $1,885 purchase. Since I bought the truck, I've had two recalls which were minor repairs and recently encountered a front differential oil seal leak that was covered under the original warranty. Magnussen's fixed that and charged a $100 deductible. Two months later the seal leaked again and Magnussen's fixed it at no charge to me. Three months later the seal failed again, but my truck was out of warranty. "Joe" the service writer diagnosed the continuing problem as being caused by a deformed part in the differential. He offered to fix the truck for free and was very courteous. I have experienced no major problems with my truck and Magnussen's has exclusively done the oil changes and major service. I check their website for coupons and have found that if I don't mention them they will tell me what's currently featured and discount my service to the coupon price. I appreciate their willingness to be honest and upfront. Upon my claim for reimbursement of my extended policy I found out (in this economy) that the insurance company underwriting the policy went out of business. To their credit, Magnussen's offered and stood by the policy and a rebate check will be forthcoming. There are a couple of negative postings on this review site. I can't imagine how a dissatisfied customer couldn't find a resolution to avoid positing a negative comment. Never, have I found anyone in seven years of visits to Magnussen's to be discourteous, attempting to do the "side step" on an issue or be unapproachable. I appreciate that my truck is washed and returned clean to me after service and I will continue driving the 50 miles to Auburn to have Magnussen's exclusively service my truck. Hope this is helpful. You have to ask yourself how an unhappy customer couldn't address a complaint and whether their expectations might have been seeking something more than they were entitled too. I'm just miffed by the negatives and have seen many longtime customers in the service waiting room getting both good and bad service news on their vehicles, but never upset, or taken advantage of. More
I have dealt with many dealers & have nothing but good things to say about Magnussens. We got a great deal on our 2011 Jeep GC! Fast, Courtious service with a good since of humor. The issues that I have with the vehicle, to this day, haven't been resolved. after two weeks and a few thousand dollars, they still couldn't fix the mechanical problems, and I was told "We are done, don't bring it back." THE GOOD NEWS... Mike crabb, vic, jeff, and a bunch of other duders got FIRED!!! The GENERAL MANAGER!! that makes like 3 GM's fired for bad deals. What does that tell you about Magnussens Dodge. I would love to speak with old man Magnussen! More
after 75000 I noticed unusual tire wear and a pull to the right. 06 ram 2500 4x4 diesel. my trusted shop,linville, showed me ball joint play. Vic and his head mechanic at magnussen assured me "there all like that and took me to where a truck was being worked on and showed me similar play. After educating myself about dodge and "death wobble" ball joint play concerned me. I paid for a 5yr 100,000 mile extended warranty and am thankful. After asking for a printout of the ball joint runout, magically I got new ball joints.And all my other concerns were met right down to a weak seat belt. I was so happy I bought a c note of pizza for the people who got a new drivers seat belt, steering gear box, front pinion seal, power outlet, two rear leaf springs and the upper ball joints for me. my joy was short lived...I had put over two hundred miles on new tires I bought the same day I took my truck to linville, and still had two thirds of the" titties" left on them. When I got my truck 9 days later the 4 miles they put on took all traces of new away from my tires. Within 6 hours an engine component began to rattle and then bang and has since stopped working. One leaf spring was broken, ya they installed a broken leaf spring. and there was grease on drivers seat. Im sorry if I wish to use Roseville or somewhere else but? Vic the service manager, wont allow it. He says we need your business. This is where it stands. I will never let my truck near his lot ever....He could release my truck to Roseville but refuses based on his need for my business. If Bernard Magnussen approves of this guy he should read this and other reviews stacking up against his company. More

Findings are rearend noise and front end pulling hard to the right, I was told nothing wrong with the rearend i was told bad bearings by the another shop, and the frontend was out of spec for the the (caster) right min/max SB 3.4/4.4 when checked by another shop (caster)is at 0.45. They ran the same report and said all numbers are in spec. have a warranty and they never take responseablity for any thing. I was told that never take my car to any other shop cause they are all no good, no matter who they are.Oh and the Salesman Sam the man, he talks behind his boss's back when making deals he can't keep and when asked on the rearend noise, because he test drove the car with me, he totally had memory loss, when i just bought the car two weeks prior, he remembered me, but not the noise. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP FOR ANYTHING, they treat there customers very poorly all said and done I walked away crying and still my car not fixed. I agree with two other customers. THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SATISFACTION AT THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH AND THE CAR FAX, DON'T BELEIVE WHAT YOU READ ON IT.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More
