Let me start by saying Vinny the Manager at West Islip, NY Kia is amazing! I purchased a Kia Sportage on 6/30/24. I came to Kia in West Islip because I live in West Islip. First, the Salesmen Billy add NY Kia is amazing! I purchased a Kia Sportage on 6/30/24. I came to Kia in West Islip because I live in West Islip. First, the Salesmen Billy added a “dealer service charge” to the price of the car. I was told this could not be removed. Next, the Finance manager Alex charged me for a “administrative fee”. He did not disclose this to me during our finance review. It was also not even listed On my finance contract. My entire experience with Alex the finance manager was terrible. He also tried to give me over 6% interest rate when there was a special 1.9% rate going on. He reduced the interest rate after I brought this to his attention. He did not review any of my financing information with me. He told me my monthly payment and that was it. When I returned home with my new car, I did the math on the finance contract and discovered that I was changed more then was listed on my finance contract. The deceitful charge was in the Kia computer but not listed on my contract. I came back to Kia and spoke with Vinny the Manager. Vinny was amazing. Vinnny’s caring and compassionate way was outstanding. I was extremely upset and felt deceived and Vinny was understanding and he resolved the situation quickly and the deceitful charges (administration fee and dealer service fee) were returned to me. Vincent made it right! The other manager Sean was very understanding and caring also as well as the other finance manager and service department members. They all came into Vincents office and talked to me with care and concern for what happened to me. I don’t recall their names but Vincent would know who they were. For these reasons and because Vincent made things right, I would return to Kia in West Islip. I will only work with Vincent and the people that were honest and had integrity. Our personal experience was negative. We felt very deceived by several of the employees including the Sales Rep and Finance Manager. They leased me a car over the verbally agreed upon price AND THEN hide an additional $2k package in the price without notifying me. Yes, its in the contract and fine print but there is a level of trust and honestly that should be standard and at Atlantic Kia you should be careful. The only reason I didn't give this a 1 star is because the new GM Vincent, likely brought in the turn around the organization, salvaged my experience in a good way. He was trustworthy, honest, accountable, communicative, and at the end of the day made things right. That said, while I can't say I would recommend leasing a car at Atlantic Kia I do appreciate everything Vincent did at the end of the day. Thank you Vincent for doing the right thing! More
