After a recent bad experience at the Hyundai dealership in our town of Bloomfield, NJ, we decided to go to Atlantic because I had previously purchased a Tiburon from them in 2006. Scott Valencia was such in our town of Bloomfield, NJ, we decided to go to Atlantic because I had previously purchased a Tiburon from them in 2006. Scott Valencia was such a pleasure to work with! He was extremely personable as well as knowledgeable about the 2012 Hyundai Elantra that we were interested in. He answered all of our questions and was very straightforward. Scott was willing to negotiate with us and was not pushy at all. We were happy with the price we paid for the car that came with all the amenities we were looking for. I will definitely recommend Atlantic to everyone I know interested in purchasing/leasing a car in the future. P.S. We really enjoyed watching the Jets football game on the flat screen TV and lounging on the comfy leather couches! The catered Italian spread for lunch wasn't bad either! It was better than watching the game at home! Sincerely, Amy Simone More
This dealership was great! My sales representative was excellent and really did whatever necessary to meet my needs. I couldn't have asked for a better salesperson. Ms. Lopez was honest and true to her excellent and really did whatever necessary to meet my needs. I couldn't have asked for a better salesperson. Ms. Lopez was honest and true to her word which is usually not associated with this particular industry quite honestly. This was a very refreshing experience made very easy due to the establishment where I bought my vehicle. More
I'll start with the night before when I came in with my son. It was 12/31/2011 and I understand everyone was busy, although it really doesn't look like they are most of the time. No one greeted us. No on son. It was 12/31/2011 and I understand everyone was busy, although it really doesn't look like they are most of the time. No one greeted us. No one even said hi. Waited and waited near the tall desk where all of the salespeople congregate (another couple was waiting for help also and was never approached). All I wanted to do was ask a question, which I was finally able to do when I stopped a salesperson and asked my 1 question. I decided to come back the next day (New Year's) at the 11 am opening. All of the salespeople were crowded into an office, I guess listening to a pep talk or something. When they all disbanded at about 11:05 am, multiple salespeople passed me without even saying hello or asking if I needed help, until the same salesperson I had stopped the night before recognized me. I said I was interested in the Sonata. We sat down and I told him what we wanted (manual trans, base model) and wanted pricing to buy and to lease. He went to the big desk and came back with prices we couldn't afford. I mentioned that they had a sale going on with a $199 / month lease (he has offered $289 / month. Why he didn't offer that at first, I don't know? He said he'd go back and work it for us. Why does he have to work it when it is an advertised special for the model we were looking at? He came back and said he worked it out and I figured with my trade-in, loyalty credit, and $1000 trade in allowance, I was set. It wasn't until I went into the finance guy that I found out I still had to shell out about $2,000. He explained it with a lot of finance-speak. I brought my wife in and she was surprised also about the amount of cash required. He brought in the salesperson and they basically explained it was due to taxes and fees, etc. The advertisement mentioned it was $2,599 (including 1st month), plus taxes, fees, etc. I ended up paying $6112.50 ($3,000 trade, $1000 rebate/non cash credit, and $2112.50 cash). That's $3513.50 more in taxes, fees, etc., which seems extremely excessive. We took the deal anyway because we had been there so long and just wanted to get out with a new car. I believe I now realize where it came from. For some reason, and you don't see this until everything is just about done, is that the "Agreed upon value of the Vehicle" was $22598.12, yet the sticker price was $20,700, including the freight and handling. That's a difference of $1898.12. I know it's "Let the buyer beware" and I feel like I got taken. This all being said, I'm not totally blaming Farrell Shapiro. He was the nicest person there and he's probably just the middleman in all of this. More

Mr. Wasilko was incredble gracious and showed himself not to be what you always consider the typical car dealer. At one point we realized that the registration on the car had expired and he varified that DM to be what you always consider the typical car dealer.
