While I was sitting in the dealership waiting for them to finish the prep work on my car, I got an email from them thanking me for my business and giving me a free car starter. I call the Honda rep who sent me the email letter and confirm that I am getting this, there is no cost, no hidden fees, etc. She confirms that yes, there are no costs at all. Just call, bring the letter with you and they will install it. I make an appointment and drop my car off and give the service guy my letter. Two hours after I drop it off the serve man calls to tell me that the sales manager will not allow me to get the unit installed. I called and spoke with RAVELLE - sales manager and he tells me that I was no entitled to get the letter and that all Honda customers get that coupon sent to them in an email. In fact, if I got the free started it would be double dipping because I came in off the newspaper ads and was not entitled to get the starter. He said it would like getting two 5 cent coupons for milk and trying to get the milk for free. He literally was arguing with me even though I had an email in my hand that stated a free, installed starter. Please note, this is the THIRD car my family bought from Atlantic. The first two were Caddies and now the Honda Civic. When I told him that it was not my loss he said "what do you expect just to give you something worth $397 for nothing?" I said "no, u sent ME the email. I had no idea this was even possible nor did I ask for this. You solicited me and THANKED me for my business while I was sitting in your dealership." I then told him not too worry, I will come down and get my car. With that, he literally hung-up on me without even saying goodbye If this is any indication of how this dealership treats a brand new customer, in this economy - DO NOT EVER BUY OR LEASE ANYTHING FROM ATLANTIC HONDA, CADDY OR ANY OTHER ATLANTIC DEALERSHIP IN NY. Be very very careful when putting together a lease package with this dealer. In my situation, we were trying to lease a 2009 Honda Odyssey. After several days of negotiating (which involved several visits to the dealership to meet the managers) they came back with a monthly lease amount that was substantially less than the competition. All the time during the negotiating process we clearly mentioned (and the salesman wrote down on his bid sheet) that we wanted a sign and drive (which means only the first month lease payment and DMV fees are due on signing the lease). When we showed up to sign the lease the inevitable bait and switch occurred. The salesman informed us that the manager had made a MISTAKE and forgot to include the $595 acquisition fee in the lease amount. Therefore, either the lease payments would have to increase or we would have to pay this amount upfront. We were amazed as the entire time we mentioned that we only wanted to pay the first month lease payment and DMV fees. So please be careful when signing a lease with this dealer. Know your numbers and do your research and by all means get competitive offers. Know exactly what you should be paying and don't budge. In our situation, we walked out of this dealership. Though they tried to lure us back with more sales pitches, we felt very uncomfortable with them and never went back. More

I rendered Atlantic's services because this is where we bought the car in spite the fact that there are closer dealers/services in our area. I stayed there for 3 year only because I haven't tried any other bought the car in spite the fact that there are closer dealers/services in our area. I stayed there for 3 year only because I haven't tried any other dealer and not knowing what I was missing. I should have shopped around first! First, prices are too high. I thought this was normal for a dealer's services but after I was able to compare it to other dealers, I had to kick my self for staying with them for so long. At that high price you would think you will get better service! NO! They forget my discounts I always mention at the start of the transaction not just once and I have a feeling it was being done on purpose because it happens almost on all my visits. Car wash is supposed to be complimentary but does wiping the car down and not leaving it wet to dry up with water spots part of the deal? How hard is it to wipe down the car? Once, I went there to speak to a Honda financial representative and guess what, I ended up talking for an hour to a useless sales rep who was trying to con me into swapping my car for a new one. I just asked him whom I can speak to for my business and he took over the show, making me believe he was helping. He is an Asian guy in the floor area. They will make you believe that you need a certain maintenance package even though the car doesn't need it. To give an example (but not accurate), they will tell you that you need a transmission flush at 15,000 even though the official manual says it has to be done at 50,000!) Here is the deal that made me think twice. They offered me a loaner car before when I had a maintenance package done. Great! This week, we will have 3 services done that will take a few hours to do. My wife and I have a tight schedule lately so I told my wife not to worry since we can have a loaner car. Guess what, their policy have changed! We can't have it because it is only for those who have cars that need an overnight job! So they want us to wait for at least 3 hours! I then called a closer Honda dealer and they said that even if the job will only take an hour, we are entitled for a loaner car! I gave a 3 on friendliness only because the Spanish guy who accepts and records the cars are friendly and just does his job. Others, well... I'm not going back to Atlantic Honda again. Their loss since my wife needs a new truck and I'll be trading in mine as well soon. More
Went to dealership to turn in civic for 2007 CRV. Salesperson and manager said car was in stock. When I went to pick up the car the dealership was trying to give me a loner car and said they had the Salesperson and manager said car was in stock. When I went to pick up the car the dealership was trying to give me a loner car and said they had the car in stock but not on the lot. They also stated they were not sure when I would recieve the car. The manager admitted that I was overpaying for the car. My monthly payment was good but according to the dealership I was putting to much money down but it was to late to change it. When I attempted to leave with a refund of my deposit the salesman completely lost his cool. His manager had to tell him to walk away more than once. Very strange experience all witnessed by my wife who is 9 months pregnant. More
Didn't even go down to this dealership because the salesmen who called me up were SO SO dumb and sleazy!!!! I won't even go into details, but of the "10 Car Dealer Scams" I read about in an article, salesmen who called me up were SO SO dumb and sleazy!!!! What a joke this place is.. My wife and son waited almost 4 hours to get 4 tire locks removed from my car. Never once came out and updated. The orginal time was to be about 1/2 hour. When I went into comp 4 hours to get 4 tire locks removed from my car. Never once came out and updated. The orginal time was to be about 1/2 hour. When I went into complain. I was told to Leave the F*king store. This could be the worst customer service I ever in my life experienced. BTW the locks were on the car when I purchased it. Had the car serviced in THIS dealership once before and they never put the lock back in the car. More
I've never had such a poor experience. Two months ago, I put a down payment on car that was not on lot, but to be ordered. I find out 12 days later that the salesman was fired/quit and the order didn't go put a down payment on car that was not on lot, but to be ordered. I find out 12 days later that the salesman was fired/quit and the order didn't go through. Another salesman picked up the case but said it would take 2 months (not 2 weeks like previously stated - maybe that's why the first guy was fired?). 3 weeks ago, the salesman called me to tell me the car was completed and was on the way. 2 weeks ago, I called asking about it's whereabouts and nobody knew. Last week I called again, and still nobody knew where the car was or what the VIN was. This week, I called and was told that the car was never made and that the order was still at the factory. Well - there goes my road trip vacation plans. If you don't mind being lied to and strung along, I guess this would be a good dealership. More
