Very good experience and a very good price. Elham was straight forward salesperson and I would recomment anyone to Atlantic Honda. Worst dealership experience ever. The sales guy (Leroy) was nice, but the sale manager was rude. After negotiating a price they tried to run through another $700 in fees. Once we agreed on a price we waite was nice, but the sale manager was rude. After negotiating a price they tried to run through another $700 in fees. Once we agreed on a price we waited 4 hours to pay and have the paper work ready (4 hours!!!). The finance manager was rude telling us to wait while he was having Chinese food with his buddies. They did not accept my personal check even though I already gave 1/3 in cash. I had to write 3 checks. They treated me like sh***t, were rude, could not care less about me, everyone was giving us looks as they could not care less. They blamed me because during the negotiation I walked away and then came back, they were trying to get back at me for leaving by having me wait unnecessarily. While I was waiting some other customer complained, they wanted to leave but the dealership hold their drivers license and would not return it. I still don't have my title and hope that they will send it to me later once my checks clear. 1st time I have seen this, as usually dealers have the capability of verifying the funds with the bank. Last time I bought a car at Subaru they were so nioce and it us 1 hour top process evrything and leave with the car. This Honda dealer is cheap, awfull and rude. More
I did not read the ratings before I went into Atlantic Honda, but I was greeted by one of the most friendliest salesman I had ever had. The deal was great! He got me the numbers I wanted and I didn't even Honda, but I was greeted by one of the most friendliest salesman I had ever had. The deal was great! He got me the numbers I wanted and I didn't even have to put anything down. They accepted my trade in fast! overall it was a great car buying experience!. I ordered a 2010 Accord Coupe V6 EXL with navigation. It rides great! If the reviews are so bad on this dealership, how come the sold over 420 cars in the month of August 2009?? I bought the car on a saturday and it was a locate car and I got it the next day! I even could of got it on saturday if I wanted too!. Every employee that works there is hard working and dedicated. If going there, request Richie. He knows what he is doing and has a great personality. He will not rip you off because he has been in this industry for over 20 years and knows his cars! My buying experience was great and I will come back again!! More
I request all the readers to read this before going to Atlantic Honda show room (Bayshore NY). First of all their customer service s**ks.Once you make a deal the marketing guy adds all kind of extra charg Atlantic Honda show room (Bayshore NY). First of all their customer service s**ks.Once you make a deal the marketing guy adds all kind of extra charges(like Destination charge, Preparation charge, etc saying that these are mandatory) to rip you off. Make sure you don't fall for their tactics.say NO to all those charges. One more important thing... they ask you to sign a double contract(temporary contract) no matter what kind of financing you have (which is kind of Stupid). In my case I had a bankers check, since i bought my car on a weekend, they could not verify with the bank so they asked me to sign a temporary contract, ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? that is a fr***ng bankers check.......After 2 weeks from the day i bought my car, I asked them to return my temp contract, no response from them....they never answer your calls. today I am going to their dealership to find out. I request all of you to think twice before going to Atlantic honda. Thanks More
HORRIBLE! After we finally agreed to purchase a used car IN CASH pending replacement (at OUR cost) of 4 bald tires, the completely vacant salesman Kimani Pitkin sells the car from under me less than 24 hour IN CASH pending replacement (at OUR cost) of 4 bald tires, the completely vacant salesman Kimani Pitkin sells the car from under me less than 24 hours from pickup! I had gotten a check from the bank and made the arrangements with my insurance and everything, as we had secured the deal with Atlantic Honda. All for nothing. I could clearly see exterior damage to the car caused while the car was in their care (because the damaged areas are intact in the online photos in the classified ad) They refused to repair these items at their cost. I got an internet quote from Sarah that was significantly lower than any other dealership. (2010 Honda Pilot)I talked to Sarah a few times to make sure that the qoute was accurate for the model I wanted and lower than any other dealership. (2010 Honda Pilot)I talked to Sarah a few times to make sure that the qoute was accurate for the model I wanted and to see how to progress from this point. ( I contacted her two times while I was on vacation)I also explained to her that my lease was up and I had to nail down the deal very quickly. She passed my name to Charles who sent me a credit application without ever talking to me. When I got back from vacation I called Charles to make sure we were on the same page in regards to model and price. Apparently after all the calls I made to Sarah she never gave the details of the deal to charles. So I asked Charles to get the details from Sarah so we would all be on the same page. He told me to come into the dealership anyway. I live at least 45 minutes away and did not want to travel for a bait and switch scam. He said Ok and that he will speak to Sarah and call me back in 15 minutes. He never called me back that day, even after leaving him 3 messages. He eventually called me back (48 hours later). My lease was over the day he called me back (coincidence?) So the bottom line is that I believe that Sarah undercut the real cost of the vehicle just to get me in the door and planned to tell me there was a mistake. And then Charles called me back the last possible moment to trap me into making a deal because my lease was up. The shame of it all is that they wasted my time!! More
Similar story to the others. I ordered a car from them that was due to arrive in three weeks. Three months later, no car and no phone calls, just lies after lies after lies. The Sales Manager said he wo that was due to arrive in three weeks. Three months later, no car and no phone calls, just lies after lies after lies. The Sales Manager said he would refund my deposit two weeks ago and it still hasn't happened. Fortunately my bank stands behind me and disputed the charge on my behalf. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from Atlantic Honda. The term "sleaze bag" used below sums them up perfectly. More
I went to the dealership to buy a 2009 Honda Pilot touring with navigation, after speaking on the phone with an internet representative who. I told her that I had a leased vehicle which was up on 3/1 touring with navigation, after speaking on the phone with an internet representative who. I told her that I had a leased vehicle which was up on 3/18/09. She said bring it in so her pre-owned manager could look at it to see if it was worth taking back since I didn't lease from this dealership the first time. She told me if he will take it back, they can maybe get my price for a new car at a better price. No one from the pre-owned department even looked at it. I went in on Feb 28, spoke to the manager and he set me up with the salesman Jose. They came back with a price of 38,000 plus. I had a better deal from Huntington Honda at about 34700, so I told them no thanks. They came back and told me they can give it to me for 34700. So I said fine. I told them the car I wanted witht he colors, I gave a deposit. A week later Jose calls me back and tells me that they don't have the car I want in the color I want. I can get a different interior or different exterior if I want. Since I am paying cash for the car, its not leased or financed, I want what I want and not going to settle for just anything. He said they can order me a new one but it willt ake 3 months. My lease ends in about 10 days from that time, and I asked if I can have a loaned car and they said no, and they also said that the car will cost more money then the original quote. I told him I don't have time now and that I wasted my time and Jose said that I wasted his time because now he won't have the sale. For a salesman to say that, I think it is kind of rude and obnoxious and that place to me is just not worth going to. More

While I was sitting in the dealership waiting for them to finish the prep work on my car, I got an email from them thanking me for my business and giving me a free car starter. I call the Honda rep who sent me the email letter and confirm that I am getting this, there is no cost, no hidden fees, etc. She confirms that yes, there are no costs at all. Just call, bring the letter with you and they will install it. I make an appointment and drop my car off and give the service guy my letter. Two hours after I drop it off the serve man calls to tell me that the sales manager will not allow me to get the unit installed. I called and spoke with RAVELLE - sales manager and he tells me that I was no entitled to get the letter and that all Honda customers get that coupon sent to them in an email. In fact, if I got the free started it would be double dipping because I came in off the newspaper ads and was not entitled to get the starter. He said it would like getting two 5 cent coupons for milk and trying to get the milk for free. He literally was arguing with me even though I had an email in my hand that stated a free, installed starter. Please note, this is the THIRD car my family bought from Atlantic. The first two were Caddies and now the Honda Civic. When I told him that it was not my loss he said "what do you expect just to give you something worth $397 for nothing?" I said "no, u sent ME the email. I had no idea this was even possible nor did I ask for this. You solicited me and THANKED me for my business while I was sitting in your dealership." I then told him not too worry, I will come down and get my car. With that, he literally hung-up on me without even saying goodbye If this is any indication of how this dealership treats a brand new customer, in this economy - DO NOT EVER BUY OR LEASE ANYTHING FROM ATLANTIC HONDA, CADDY OR ANY OTHER ATLANTIC DEALERSHIP IN NY. Be very very careful when putting together a lease package with this dealer. In my situation, we were trying to lease a 2009 Honda Odyssey. After several days of negotiating (which involved several package with this dealer. In my situation, we were trying to lease a 2009 Honda Odyssey. After several days of negotiating (which involved several visits to the dealership to meet the managers) they came back with a monthly lease amount that was substantially less than the competition. All the time during the negotiating process we clearly mentioned (and the salesman wrote down on his bid sheet) that we wanted a sign and drive (which means only the first month lease payment and DMV fees are due on signing the lease). When we showed up to sign the lease the inevitable bait and switch occurred. The salesman informed us that the manager had made a MISTAKE and forgot to include the $595 acquisition fee in the lease amount. Therefore, either the lease payments would have to increase or we would have to pay this amount upfront. We were amazed as the entire time we mentioned that we only wanted to pay the first month lease payment and DMV fees. So please be careful when signing a lease with this dealer. Know your numbers and do your research and by all means get competitive offers. Know exactly what you should be paying and don't budge. In our situation, we walked out of this dealership. Though they tried to lure us back with more sales pitches, we felt very uncomfortable with them and never went back. More
