The reason I gave Atlantic Honda a 5 overall rating is due to the fact that I had been to several other car dealers and as soon as I walked into Atlantic I knew it was different. Not only was everyone fr due to the fact that I had been to several other car dealers and as soon as I walked into Atlantic I knew it was different. Not only was everyone friendly and helpful, the dealership itself was very impressive. It was bright and clean and you felt good being there. They display signs of accomplishment everywhere so you know you are dealing with a successful dealership. Charles, our salesperson, and Rick Alessi the General Manager were both knowlegeable and professional. They not only made my husband and I feel very at ease but also made sure my kids were well taken care of. (And YES they beat the other dealer's price) I was amazed and impressed as to how much Charles knew about the Honda Accord we eventually purchased, and he answered every question with a smile. I never once felt uncomfortable or pressured to purchase the car. We were so happy with our purchase that several months later we went back and purchased a civic for our son. When we walked into the dealership Rick Alessi saw us and came right over to us, shook our hand and spoke to us like were long-time friends. Talk about feeling "right at home" Since that time we have returned yet a third time to purchase a Honda Pilot. Why would anyone go anywhere else - this Honda dealership is BY FAR the best one on Long Island!!! More
Highly recommend Mr. Lepler who is a very friendly, knowledgeable salesman. Was very informative and took his time teaching us how our new car operates (i.e., navigation system, sound system, etc.) W knowledgeable salesman. We went out of our way to purchase through him again. More
Recently I bought a new CR-V from Atlantic Honda. While I did not get the best deal on the car, I have only myself to blame for that because I did not do my due diligence before going to the dealership. I do did not get the best deal on the car, I have only myself to blame for that because I did not do my due diligence before going to the dealership. I do however, have a major issue with their customer service. They kept me and my wife there for 5 hours: 2 hours longer then needed because by the 2nd hour we had agreed to the sale. When I bought my Camry (new), I was in and out of the dealership in 2 hours with my new car. John Marshall, while very courteous, would dissappear for 20 to 30 minutes at a time whenever he said he would be right back. And sometimes he couldn't remember the last thing he said to us. It took over an hour to bring the car from their warehouse to the dealership, and instead of prepping it in their gagrage, they did it outside when the wheather was getting really bad. They had the engine running for almost another hour before they finished. Truthfully, their fiance rep came off very snobbish. I don't know if it was because he wanted to get home due to the weather, but that does not excuse poor customer relations. When we were finally finishing up the last of the paperwork, they started turning off the lights to the showroom. They could have at least waited for us to leave before doing that. We felt rushed to transfer all of our stuff from the old car to the new one, and not just because of the weather. Funny thing, the new car had already been moved next to our old car 20 minutes eariler, but had anyone bothered to tell us, we could have done the transfer well before finsihing up the final paperwork and not having to be rushed. Again, I can't say they gave me a bad deal because I should have done my homework, but if their showroom customer service is that poor, I don't think I will take the chance with their auto service. I don't know why this place has so many bad reviews. I went there and had no problems. I thought it was a great place. I got a good deal on my Accord from Atlantic and I love it. I can't understand why so went there and had no problems. I thought it was a great place. I got a good deal on my Accord from Atlantic and I love it. Walked into the dealer with one of their ads. The ad stated "lease a 2010 Honda Accord LXP for 174.00/mo. $0 money down except, taxes, tags, fees totaling 1,375. I asked for sign and drive deal working stated "lease a 2010 Honda Accord LXP for 174.00/mo. $0 money down except, taxes, tags, fees totaling 1,375. I asked for sign and drive deal working the upfront money into my monthly payment. However I would pay the tags (DMV fees up front) This should have made the payment 227.00 per month. Breakdown Taxes - 174 per month X 36 months = 6,264.00. The tax at 8.625% equals - 540.27 or 15 dollars per month. New Total = 189 per month. Fees - 1,375 rolled into 36 payments = 38.00 New total = 227.00 per month. The quote I received - 298.00 per month (71.00 MORE THAN THE AD PRICE) When I test drove the car (even though I told them 7 times I didn't need to because I drove it 2x already) I explaned to my sales rep (Ali) I did not want to play the typical games, he assured me his dealership was different and that i would get the ad price. I showed the ad and asked for nothing more than what was stated in the ad. Same as breakdown above. We picked out a car and he went to work the numbers. While I was there, the sales manager called a meeting and EVERY sales rep left the floor. With customers, including myself sitting there. After their meeting Ali, came back with a price of 298.00. Ha ha. Ok, so I understand this is business, I will play the game. I ask can you please show me the breakdown on how you came to that price. He calls the sales manager over who was INCREDIBLY rude. He obviously could care less about my business and made it quite clear as he rolled his eyes about to show me how he came to this price. After some BS, he finally showed me on his computer how he came to the price. After quickly punching in numbers so I could not see and adding numbers NOT mentioned in the ad, he came up with a price of 247.00 per month. So I ask, why did you quote me 298.00? He said..."Oh we quoted you for 15,000 mile lease." So I ask, why would you do that when I asked for 12k? At the same time Ali (salesman) came back, so i asked him... Ali, how many miles is included in this lease price? Ali and the sales manger BOTH answer 12K. Hahahaha He just told me 15K. SCAMMERS, LIARS!!! The story and back peddling goes on, and the sales manager continues to contradict himself, but I think you see my point. STAY AWAY!!! sorry for the long reply! More
Purchased a 2007 CRV. Wanted a Sirius satelite radio installed. At that time XM was the only factory option. They agreed to install an aftermarket system, which they showed me in a different vehicle. installed. At that time XM was the only factory option. They agreed to install an aftermarket system, which they showed me in a different vehicle. When I went to pick up a week later the system was not in it. They told me they would have it in a few days and that I would just need to bring the car back. I waited three MONTHS. After many phone calls they kept telling me the system was out of stock. I finally went to Best Buy and found the the exact system there in stock. Plus, Best Buy would install it for HALF of what Atlantic wanted (saving about $1,700). I told them that I wanted my money back since they had more than enough time to honor our agreement and their system was way overpriced anyway. Suddenly they were able to locate the system that I originally paid for. At this point, I said no, just refund my money for the cost of the system that they had been unable/unwilling to install. They gave me the run around, making me come in several times. I finally wound up having to have a shouting match with the manager Ravell in order to get my refund, which they made me wait forever to process. The sales manager was a total a**hole. I had to create a scene and threaten legal action to get my refund. No other manager or owner was ever available, only that rude idiot Ravell. It was a terrible experience. I would never buy a car from them again. After reading these entries it's obvious that this is simply how they do business. More
