Buyer beware. I purchased a BMW 645 from Atlanta's Used Cars (2012) in Marietta and what a nightmare it has been. These guys made me feel like I have been cheated and there is nothing I can do. From Used Cars (2012) in Marietta and what a nightmare it has been. These guys made me feel like I have been cheated and there is nothing I can do. From Tom, this is who you will have to deal with when the car you purchased is falling apart, to the sales guy, to the owner. Don't trust them. I believe their prices are lower for a reason. Not the wholesale xx they sell you on, but the quality of their cars. While waiting to test drive the car, I casually talk to a sales guy (who had no idea, I was interested in the BMW) and he tells me the car had an oil leak that they just fixed the week before. I go for a test drive, and there is an engine light on. They tell me they will inspect the car and to come back tomorrow. I get a million calls asking me to come back and the oil leak has been fixed now for sure. I buy the car and the extended warranty AUC's pushes. Big mistake. Not even a month later, I have more oil leaks, and when I call Atlanta Used Cars they tell me to work with the extended warranty company. They offer no help at all. I was asked by Tom, "Well what do you want me to do"? You have to call every day after your purchase to talk to someone, but guess what, they will never be in. The extended warranty company covered a small portion of the oil leak. I had to come out of pocket $1,000 + only one month in. The drama continues. I have had two separate mechanics tell me the engine is on borrowed time. I have a car that I am paying $575 a month for and the dealer won't help, and the extended warranty company wants me to pay $2,000 to take the engine apart. If it's something they do not cover I am out $2,000 plus my monthly car payments. I have had several diagnostics and each tell me the engine is bad. Between my car not starting 30% of the time, to the multiple oils leaks, to the transmission acting flaky, to the engine, to not being able to pass emissions not even a year after I purchase the car. I will have to let the bank come take this car and a credit hit. I will post everywhere I can to warn people. Stay away from these guys. I saw the owner in public recently, and he put his head down and almost ran. Everything I am posting is $100 true and I have documentation to back it all up. I just filed with the BBB and Atlanta Used Cars of Marietta replied with the car was purchased as is. All I am asking for is to take this car back and swap it out with a working car. They don’t want to do that, because they know what they sold me from day one. I should have known there was a reason that this particular model/year of car was cheaper at AUC’s than anywhere else in Atlanta. I am stuck with a car I can’t use and payments of $575 a month. The have a friend who had a similar experience with another dealership in Atlanta, and they took the problem vehicle back and got him a car that works. More
