My husband, John, and I had been trying to purchase a Honda Accord for over a year. Unlike the three other dealerships we had visited and the two we had tried to establish an online relationship with, A Honda Accord for over a year. Unlike the three other dealerships we had visited and the two we had tried to establish an online relationship with, Atamian Honda was a refreshing experience. Atamian Honda is genuinely warm and inviting and the moment we entered the door we were greeted by the Sales Manager, a salesman who was familiar with our hometown on the Cape, and our salesman, John Derocher. We were made to feel welcome and relaxed and, after offering us refreshments after our drive, John allowed us to wander the lot on our own without pressure checking in with us periodically to answer our questions and inviting us to experience a variety of Accord models. John thoroughly explained each model and we test drove an Accord EX-L running through all the features and options available. When we let John know that we needed to take a break for lunch, John was kind enough to offer us the Accord we had just test driven as a ride to the restaurant. It was at that moment that we realized we were truly at a very special and unique dealership. We were not under any pressure to buy, we weren't being urged to make an offer, we weren't having our personal information collected and evaluated; we were being respected as consumers and we were the priority, not the dealership. Over lunch we decided that we were going to buy a car from Atamian Honda and that it was only a matter of which model it would be. I had several features that were important for me to have in a new car and I had questions about how to chose what model would be the right fit. As John discussed the features I was interested in, he calmly explained to my husband and me the differences between factory installed and dealer installed features and recommended that we should look at the EX-L Nav. With the EX-L Nav we would have all the features that we wanted and we could drive the car home that day. His points were compelling and reasonable so we decided to upgrade and purchase on his recommendation. We purchased the car sight unseen because we knew that the car would be perfect. We agreed on a price within minutes without any of the back and forth between the unknown powers that lurked behind the scenes at all the other dealerships we had visited. John directed us to the financial officer as he had the car prepped for us. The financial officer ran through the purchase agreement quickly and thoroughly and with a few strokes of a pen we were owners of a new Honda Accord EX-L Nav. After the installation of two after market accessories, John sat in our new car and carefully explained all the upgraded features our new car possessed. We explored the Navigation System and he went through the Quick Start Guide helping us find the answers to all our questions. And then it was over. We were ready to drive home and, without any anxiety or struggle, we had quite pleasantly purchased an Accord from Atamian Honda. They had done what none of the other dealerships had been able to do. They had welcomed us their guests, respected us as consumers, and made us their friends. We will glad to refer any and all to experience the hospitality and professionalism of Atamian Honda and know that our relationship with the dealership will continue through the personal investment of John Derochers and staff at Atamian Honda. Bill responded to my email inquiry in a timely manner and gave me a straightforward, no nonsense quote and an itemized list of all of the add-ons that were not included in that number. His initial quote was fair and he didn't say any of the usual stuff like "Come in with your best price and we'll beat it." I really appreciated that. The other dealers were not as straightforward and weasel-worded their quotes. I told them all that I will visit only the dealership that gives me the best quote by email. I did not have to say that to Bill because he was clear and straightforward without being asked. John was willing to let us test drive the car on the highway by ourselves, although we asked him to come because we are not familiar with the area. Other dealerships don't let you test drive on the highway, and certainly not alone. There was no pressure to finance (we paid cash) or trade in our old car or to accept a lot of stuff at the end. It was offered and when we declined, we had a short discussion about LoJack but not a hard sell about anything. This was an excellent experience and I am recommending you to everyone I know. More
The sales rep was very personable, and accepted the fact that I came into the shop knowing exactly what I wanted. FYI most of the prices over the internet were in the same ball park but I could tell by his tone and up front information that we would be the best to deal with. I purchased a vehicle from Atamain several years ago, and had a very good experience. When it came time to buy again, the first place I looked was Atamian. They had a vehicle I was interested in, so I made an inquiry and went down to the dealership. 1.5 hours later, I was driving home in a 2006 VW Jetta. No arguing about price or trade in value, friendly sales person; painless- how a car purchase should be. In these economical times, the last thing I wanted to stress over as a car purchase. Ok, so when I first read all the positive reviews for this dealer I was frightened. How could there be so many positive items??? It must be fixed! Then I got a GREAT quote on a new Honda Civic from Bill Goulette, hundreds lower than other dealers. Again, I am thinking "What is going on here? This is too good to be true. I wasn't able to go in the day the gave me the quote and Bill agreed to honor the quote he gave me for couple of days, and since they did not have the color I wanted he would honor the price for that. Finally I get the dealership and have my guard up ready for "the fine print" and the funny thing is, there was none! Jamie met my wife and I at the door, immediately put us at ease with his friendly manner. He said since we had gotten a quote from Bill the price was not an issue. He set us up and sent us on a test drive while he took a look at our trade. We came back and we sat down to talk turkey. He brought up the Blue Book for our trade, and I thought "Here it comes!" He gave me a quote, I countered with another figure and he agreed. Bing, bang, boom signed the paperwork and two days later we have our Urban Titanium Civic. I can't recommend this dealership of Jamie any more! (I was in no way payed for this, other than getting a GREAT deal and service from them!) More
