I went to buy a new car and I found a friend in Darryl Valcourt and Steve Redding as well. I would recommend this two friends to anyone to work with them to get a new car. I drove several miles (from the northeast corner of CT) ... because Atamian had the vehicle that I was looking for on their lot. Some go well and some not so well. So I went in with an open mind and hoped for the best. And I have to say "The Best" is what I got. We were greeted by a salesman (Tarik Slaoui) who was upbeat, friendly, and extremely helpful. We were also fortunate enough to meet and interact with two of Atamians other employees (Steve Cordero and Steve Redding) and when I mean interact ... the conversation leaned more towards family and daily life rather than just business and cars. My brother and I were treated like old friends, the vehicle (even for a used vehicle) was exceptionally clean and the price was very good. This is one dealership I would highly recommend. My wife and I recently leased a new Honda CRV from Atamian, the second time we did business with the dealership in 10 weeks, having purchased a brand new Accord from them in October. Tarik Slaoui's Atamian, the second time we did business with the dealership in 10 weeks, having purchased a brand new Accord from them in October. Tarik Slaoui's skills in every area were BEYOND REPROACH. Tarik's knowledge, experience, advice and demeanor were excellent and made it seem like we weren't at a car dealer, we were basically having a talk with a friend. Tarik was great and did an unbelievable job and was the reason we leased the car. If we needed to buy a car every week, like we need to go grocery shopping, we would deal with Tarik again and again and again. Our experience with Steve Redding, unfortunately, was just the opposite. Mr. Redding was abrupt, dismissive and rude even taking a personal call on his cell phone while we were in his office. He attempted (and failed) to employ the tried and true sales technique of saying we had a 12,000/miles per year lease as opposed to 15,000. When we questioned him on this, he couldn't have been any more rude or difficult, although he ultimately changed it to 15,000. Then, when we began to ask questions, he wound up hustling us out of his office. I realize Steve is not on the sales side and is pretty much a guy who processes paperwork but I still have to believe he could've been friendlier. Then, the real problems started. After Atamian transferred our plates from our previous lease, we drove off the lot, ready to show our new wheels to family and friends over Christmas. Then, on Christmas Eve Day as we were preparing to drive to the dealership to get our car inspected Mr. Redding called and said it was unlawful for us to be driving the car and wouldn't be able to do so until the 26th, the day after Xmas, due to the DEALERSHIP'S error with the plates. Steve wrongly claimed that the previous car was registered to my wife (it was a lease, wasn't registered to anyone) and therefore, since the new one was leased under my name, we couldn't transfer plates. Nevermind that I called Honda, had to go to one of Atamian's competitors to see what they would've done, the whole thing was a headache. And the worst part is NOBODY at Atamian ever apologized. When I finally returned the day after Christmas, Mr. Redding avoided me like the plague and Tarik graciously rectified the issue. In closing, despite Tarik, I feel Atamian is a dealership to steer clear of. Very condescending, very rude and very arrogant guys all around, especially Steve Redding. More

Tarik epitomizes what it is to be an outstanding sales person. He promptly greeted us, got to know us by asking about our wants and needs. Edwin was a pleasure to work with! He was professional, honest and polite, from start to finish. I visited Atamian when I was ready to buy a CRV, and came for a Costco auto buying program price. I made it clear that i was ready to make a purchase, but had gotten many internet prices, and was going to another dealer that evening to sign if Atamian's Costco price was not better. While the Costco price wasn't competitive, Edwin asked for the price i was seeking, at which time I showed him an amazing price from another dealer. After a couple of months of getting prices, I knew I had hit rock bottom, and wondered what Edwin could do. He could meet it. However, I was drawn to the small, old fashion showroom and the professional and honest style of Edwin. I signed an agreement, knowing that Edwin would have to locate the color I wanted. True to his word, Edwin called me several days later; He had located the car. My husband and I then went to the dealer to sign the papers, and returned today to take delivery. Edwin's explanation of the car's features, and set up of technology were wonderful. He was clear, and very patient. Before we left with our new vehicle, a sales manager came over to thank us and to wish us well with our new car. Atamian is a gem in today's world of haggling when buying a car. Edwin, too, is a gem. Was shocked by the complete lack of any kind of attention or customer service we received after researching the dealership. We arranged a test drive with Melissa Paquette for 7:00 pm. We arrived about 10 minutes early and walked into the show room and waited a few minutes for anyone to welcome us. After no one even bothered to let us know they were busy and that it would be a few minutes I started to get that sinking feeling. So, we went out and decided to look at the outside of the car we wanted to purchase and it checked out and was in great condition so we decided okay it might be worth the wait and lack of attention. We went back inside and sat at a conspicuous table halfway between some sales desks and what appeared to be the sales/finance office. After about 10 more minutes of no attention, not even a hello, at 7:15 we went into the office and explained that we had set up a test drive for 7:00 and that it was now 15 minutes later and we hadn't even been greeted yet. The guy (normally I'd say gentleman but not really in this case) simply said, "Yeah, few minutes." Since we were really into the car we decided that we might continue to wait, after another 10 minutes with no one still paying us any attention we saw someone who walked in after us go into the same office and get a sales-rep to come right out and sit right down with her. At that point we said forget this they obviously don't need or want out business but we tried to give it one more try and told guy in the office that we still hadn't been spoken to by anyone. His only response was to say, "Oh." and go back to work so we told him we were leaving since we had an appointment and no one had helped us. His response, "Okay," and right back to his binder. No car can be worth this poor customer service. Including our travel to the dealership, Atamian wasted and hour of our time so, we'll have to just keep looking and we'd recommend you do to. More

This dealership might not look great on the outside but maybe thats what makes them great on the inside. I was referred to Kevin Richardson by my mechanic who has bought 4 cars off the Kevin (who by the w maybe thats what makes them great on the inside. I was referred to Kevin Richardson by my mechanic who has bought 4 cars off the Kevin (who by the way is now the general sales manager) dating back to 2000 when he was just starting out in the business. He raved about him so we figured lets give him a try. We had a unique situation and had been to two other dealers whom I will leave nameless. Kevin was great. He made our experience extremely easy and was honest thru the hole process. We consider ourselves lucky to have been referred to him and will send all our family and friends to him. In the end we left in our NEW CR-V and we will be back for my wifes car in 2 years or less. More

This is my second new vehicle purchase at Atamian and the reason I keep coming back is simple. The sales and service departments are great. My sales representative was Tarik. In fact, I find the sales members at Atamian consistent in this regard as so many other dealerships I've been to are much too pushy and show no human element to the purchase. I also service my vehicles at Atamian as well and find their service department top notch with knowledgeable and trustworthy mechanics and service advisors. Every Atamian employee I have met is courteous and polite. I find that I continually receive a great price on the vehicles and great service and that's the reason I keep coming back to Atamian and you should, too! More
