I was shopping for a mini van and went to Dodge, Toyota and Arrowhead Honda. At first I was looking for a used van. I did a lot of research and looking. I even called Mike from another dealership with some questions and he explained everything so I could understand. Mike was always available to us and provided us with so much information. At no time did Mike "pressure us to buynow" like car salesmen can do. After thinking and test driving I decided to buy a 2011 Odyssey. When I picked up the van Mike covered all the functions of the van and continued to answer my questions. Mike made the paperwork easy for me by getting some information from me and then I had to leave for awhile. When I returned to pickup the van and finish paper work it was swift and to the point. I don't remember the young mans name in the financial office but he was friendly and efficient. My vehicle purchase experience at Honda Arrowhead was of the highest quality, and the service they provide is just as good. I needed a new vehicle and wanted reliability - I decided to go to Arrowhead Ho the highest quality, and the service they provide is just as good. I needed a new vehicle and wanted reliability - I decided to go to Arrowhead Honda because they had always serviced my existing Honda vehicles (purchased from outside dealership long ago) with great results. So I figured, why not give them a shot at selling me a new Ridgeline? My sales rep, Jason, was a pleasure to work with. His demeanor was realistic, to-the-point, and he understood my personal needs with the vehicle to the extent that I felt listened to and respected. Unlike some sales personnel who will constantly revisit topics that a customer has no interest in for the sole purpose of "making a better sale", I felt that Jason allowed me to control the outcome of the purchase. As a result, I felt more capable of making a sound decision, and my comfort level resulted in me understanding the real pros and cons of actually purchasing a more expensive model of the Ridgeline than I originally intended. I realize that Jason benefits from this, but I feel that I also benefit from this decision, which makes it a Win-Win for both sides. I will continue to recommend Honda Arrowhead to anybody. I see that the organization is run by competent people who place the customer first. I also have to mention the Service and Finance areas of Honda Arrowhead's business. There is a fellow by the name of Brian who works in their service department that has really been the "face" of Honda Arrowhead for me during the last few years. Because of the great experience I've always had with him, it really wasn't a question where I should start looking for a new vehicle. Brian's service gives me the confidence that the relationship with my Honda dealership doesn't end after purchasing the vehicle. I remember one day getting a flat tire on my Honda Civic only an hour before an extremely critical business meeting I had to attend to in Tempe, and I literally drove the vehicle into Honda Arrowhead just seconds before it couldn't be driven anymore. After explaining my urgent situation to the Service Department, the answer I got was "no problem". I was back on the road in 15 minutes, and I made my meeting. As you might expect, everybody on the meeting heard about the outstanding service I got from Honda Arrowhead that morning. Gary from Finance is the person I worked with in signing all the papers once I purchased the Ridgeline. Again, here is another example of Honda Arrowhead's "no pressure" approach to selling. I have never in my life before purchased "Extended Warranty" products until I met with Gary that day. I was presented the facts about what benefits this warranty could provide to me, and nothing else. Turns out that the cost of buying the warranty is heavily offset because I am saving a lot of money in other ways. For example, why sign up with association programs when Honda's extended warranty gives you 24/7 road coverage and free rentals? When you consider the cost of an extended warranty and its lifespan (7 years), just avoiding the cost of working with road coverage companies saves you about $800. That makes the Honda Extended warranty's value too compelling to pass up, because now you are also covered for any technical defect in the next 7 years. No pressure from Gary in understanding this, I made the decision to purchase it on my own. But Gary took the extra step and rolled the cost of the warranty into my financing, making the cost of an extended warranty easily paid for by simply not purchasing a couple of lattes every month. It's positive experiences like these that cause people to think about a car dealership when purchasing a vehicle. I can go anywhere to get a car. I can buy any model, do it as a private purchase, or simply make the decision not to buy. But because I have great service, professional guidance, and mutually respectful interaction with the folks at Honda Arrowhead, I don't give it a second thought: That is the place I go to when I need a vehicle. I am always uneasy going shopping for new cars due to high pressure and all that. I felt at easy with the style Aroowhead Honda has. For the 1st time in our car buying experience, we actually enjoyed the time we spent at Arrowhead Honda. Brian Alexander met us at the door and treated us professionally and courteously. Brian showed us a few diifferent vehicles and it was obvious that he knew his products inside and out. The test drive in the CRV was fun and informative. Brian was patient with all of our questions and he even let us leave (to think about it) without any high pressure. Of course, we came back the next day and bought a totally different car... the Accord. Brian listened to our needs/wants and showed us the perfect Accord. Once we said yes, the process was quick and everyone was friendly. I recommend Arrowhead Honda and Brian Alexander to anyone who is looking for a new or used car. More

My wife and I saw a 2009 used Toyota Prius for sale on AutoTrader.com at Arrowhead Honda. I called Arrowhead and after learning that the car was still available, we drove there. Someone had placed the car right by the front door so that we could see it immediately. We were met by Joel Matteson, who showed us the car and went with us for a test drive. After deciding to purchase the car we were helped by Samantha Geck. Both Joel and Samantha couldn't have been more helpful, friendly, and courteous to us. It was the best car buying experience we've ever had! If this dealership, and the people who work there, are as nice as both Joel and Samantha were when we were buying a TOYOTA, we can only imagine how great they would be if we were buying a Honda instead! For the last 10 years we have been having our 2000 Honda Insight serviced at Arrowhead Honda despite buying it elsewhere. I developed a wonderful service relationship with Mitch Wilson, so much so that Hon Insight serviced at Arrowhead Honda despite buying it elsewhere. I developed a wonderful service relationship with Mitch Wilson, so much so that Honda was going to have the first crack at selling us a new car. When the Insight developed a serious issue we had to decide whether to fix it or put that money into a new car. As I said, Mitch knows me well. He knows that I hate new car dealers and the whole process. I hate feeling like a meal for a piranha when I step onto a showroom floor. Mitch knew this so when I asked if he could suggest someone I could speak with he gave me a couple of names, one being Doug Telgenhoff. I met Doug on Black Friday and had a discussion with him to find out what hybrids were in stock and at what prices. We looked at, but did not test drive, the Insight and the CR-Z. Saturday morning, after coming to a tentative decision about the 2000 Insight, I brought my wife up to meet Doug at 11:00 AM. We chatted, went over various ownership options, discussed trade and then went for a test drive. The old Insight was a 2-door, five speed hybrid and we loved it. It felt like an honest car in that steering was responsive and you could feel bumps in the road. The 2010 Insight is a 4-door car with approximately an additional 25 HP. Our old Insight averaged 64 MPG over 88k miles. The new Insight is rated approximately 20 MPG less, but some folks report getting into the 60's so we will see. At any rate we both drove the car, this one being an automatic with the CVT transmission and liked it. It felt very much like the earlier Insight, just larger. Some said it was the old Insight on steroids. That may be apt. Doug was great throughout that transaction. In fact he was so good we decided to trade my subcompact for a 2010 Fit, which very much surprised Doug because we had not really discussed putting me into a Fit. Anyway, we both drove the Fit, this one being a 5-speed. We discussed a trade, went through some numbers and decided to do the deal. The bottom line is that Doug T. was the best (professional) automobile salesman that I have ever met. He is available by cellphone or email and has answered all of my post-sale questions. He hasn't forgotten who I am once that I drove off the lot. I am seriously impressed. The best part is that we did do the deals and now I get to deal with Mitch Wilson for all of our service related issues. Mitch, like Doug, is that good. More
2 years ago I had the great fortune of going to Arrowhead Honda where I purchased a used 2007 CRV. Right away I felt completely at ease working with him. He listened and was never pushy. He took the time to answer all my questions and I never felt rushed to make any decision. Last month my CRV was severely damaged in a hailstorm. After getting my insurance check, I returned to Arrowhead Honda and talked with Doug T. to see what options I might have in finding a replacement vehicle rather than having mine repaired. Again, Doug T. met all my expectations of a first class sales rep. He showed me a ton of vehicles before I decided on a new 2011 CRV. He was so patient and wanted to be sure that I was getting the vehicle I truly wanted. He made several follow up calls to be sure I was completely satisfied. I will continue to use Doug T. for my vehicle purchases and I have recommended him to my friends. Thank you, Doug, you're the BEST! More
