Buyer beware! ! Had one of THE most frustrating experiences with ARRIGO off sawgrass and Commercial. I totally understand it’s a sellers market right now and dea ! Had one of THE most frustrating experiences with ARRIGO off sawgrass and Commercial. I totally understand it’s a sellers market right now and dealerships have everyone on a tight squeeze. That is no excuse for the unprofessionalism I experienced though. Monday 8/22/22 We met with Ivan Rojas and Danny (Sign, I think is his last name.) We explained to them both our budget and the specific car we were looking at. We test drove a couple others they had to offer but ultimately loved the suburban which fit best for our family. They did an appraisal on my car in the meantime. Danny ultimately told us that they were going to work out the best deal for us .After coming to an agreed monthly payment Danny was going to have us sign a piece of paper showing we were committed to purchasing the vehicle so that he can go to management and get the numbers we were looking for. At this time it was around 9pm at night, we told him we would sign the paper and that’s when they told us they lost our car keys and had no idea where they were. Told us since they lost our keys and knew we were committed there was no need to sign the paper and we would get together the following day to hear about the numbers. Danny stated he was going to go over with management and await the payoff for my car. He mentioned in the meantime there would be a courtesy hold on the car. Tuesday 8/23/22 we heard from Ivan who told us that they still hadn’t gotten the payoff, I called Volkswagen and got the number for them but it was not the true “dealer” payoff. While waiting for the payoff I told Ivan that the following day it may be tough for us to get in but to get back with us asap. Wednesday 8/24/22 heard back from Ivan finally who said to fill out the loan approval form. We filled out the info and got approved so we made our way into the dealership. Sat with Ivan and the finance manager Slavek who presented us with a cost that was higher than the first offer they gave us Monday. Ivan’s response was “ well I don’t remember that number so if you don’t have a photo of it there’s nothing we can do” that comment right there showed me the kind of people we were working with. They then explained my pay off and taxes were not accurate and that was most likely why the number was different. They also told us the APR WAS 6.01% but when we called the same company beforehand they offered us 4.64%. Ok fine moving forward there was a number (while they were confirming APR) we could not come up with so we walked away. Thursday 8/25/22 I received a phone call from Ivan, said he was going to do his best to get us closer to the number we wanted and that since it was the end of the month he wanted us to drive home with the deal. Ok cool, entertained it. He came to us with a number we said alright but can you lower it just a little more and meet us halfway and we would buy the car right now and take it home. He told us he would get back to us. (In all honestly it was just them removing their excessive “car conditioning and arrigo advantage package fee”) Received a phone call saying the car was sold to someone from Jacksonville and that they were on their way to pick it up. I was in complete shock. We were in verbal negotiations over the phone, they lost my key so they put a courtesy hold for us, we were going to sign the commitment paperwork and they said no need. We did everything they asked of us but were just waiting for them to give us exact numbers we could work with. To completely sell the car from under us without giving us the opportunity to accept was ridiculous. Yea they argued that there was no deposit placed and the hold was only for 24 hours. But those discussions were never held with us, all we knew was that there was a courtesy hold for losing our vehicle keys and we were in the loan/agreement stage. Credit was ran, loan was approved. All we needed was to know the exact number we were going to pay and at what cost. They took zero responsibility, had and had no care in the world. More
