Does not stand behind their vehicles! We bought and services our car at Sullivan. We received a recall letter about our airbags that stated we were not to bring the vehicle in until we experienced the problem. While we were on an extended vacation in the middle of nowhere,we experienced the problem. There was not a Buick dealer for hundreds of miles. We had a local mechanic look at it and he couldn't find anything wtong. We called Sullivan after we got back and we were told that because now that we were over the mileage limit stated in the letter they expected us to pay for them to take a look at the vehicle. Way to stand behind your product and treat your cutomers. We were thinking of buying another Buick but not now and not from Sullivan. Be forwarned! More
Best dealership and service center ever!! I have purchased 2 cars within the past 6 years from Sullivan and couldn't be happier!! Just went in this week for an oil change on my GMC Acadia and I have purchased 2 cars within the past 6 years from Sullivan and couldn't be happier!! Just went in this week for an oil change on my GMC Acadia and was helped by Victor Gomez in the service department. It was discovered that my rear brakes needed to be replaced as well. Victor is excellent! He is so knowledgeable, kind, trustworthy and helpful and he made sure that I got the best price for the work that needed to be done. Excellent Experience We went in today to have our 2014 Terrain serviced and left with a 2019 Terrain with all the bells and whistles. We were very pleased with our 2014 and the service we have always received at Bill Sullivan’s Buick-GMC in Arlington Heights. But today we need to thank Geoff Sulkowski in the Service Department, Shelley Barr in Service/Sales, Mike Audino in Management, and Carrie Herrera in Finance for all the time they each took explaining the options available to us. SERVICE CENTER=NO SERVICE I have 17 pages of service records for my GMC 2010 Terrain from this dealership. Back in 2017 when my GMC was 1000 miles out of warranty it ran codes I have 17 pages of service records for my GMC 2010 Terrain from this dealership. Back in 2017 when my GMC was 1000 miles out of warranty it ran codes P172 and P175. The dealership said possible fuel injection issue, cleaned something, sent me on my way. For the next year my check engine light would intermittently go on and off and it made this knocking noise that would happen after my engine was shut off for the day. I looked up the codes and it said my fuel pump may be going out. There was a recall (#43180) but my VIN wasn't included. Brought it into the dealer on 5/17/18 and they had it until 5/24/18, cleaned it again, said that if it keeps up I will need to replace my whole injection system for $1600.00. Week later check engine light goes again, same codes, took it for a second opinion and that mechanic saw that my oil was overflowing so either the mechanic put too much in or it was mixing with gas. He changed my oil, told me to drive it, oil level was ok but engine was still make the knocking noise. The mechanic told me to take it to MB Automotive who are experts at engines. Made an appt. and they diagnosed the issue within an hour and it was the fuel pump. Why GMC had my cars for days and never even suggested that is beyond me. I am now out $240 that should have went towards the new fuel pump. Called GMC corp.- their opinion is it was out of warranty so sucks to be you. Do yourself a favor and find a local mechanic who knows what they are doing and stands behind their work, GMC has no interest in keeping their customers happy or providing good service. More
