I have been to the service department many times over the past 25 years. Quicklane has sure sped up the routine service. I have always been treated with courtesy and in some cases they have gone out of the past 25 years. Quicklane has sure sped up the routine service. I have always been treated with courtesy and in some cases they have gone out of their way to assist me with a problem regarding my vehicle. You would have thought that I could recall a negative experience after all of these past years but I cannot. Either I am lucky or the other customers are unlucky. I think one should consider that courtesy goes both ways More
I went to Tousley to purchase a used vehicle. The price was very reasonable. I met with Billy, then he had another sales issue to deal so he turned me over to Rich. Great guy also. I like the car enough to was very reasonable. I met with Billy, then he had another sales issue to deal so he turned me over to Rich. Great guy also. I like the car enough to purchase it. But I failed to look closely at the tires. Upon my drive home I noticed a very loud growling and realized the front tires were extremely cupped. I took the car back the next day to see if i could get 2 new tires. I met with the used car manager, Mr VanBest, and like other reviews here, he was very condescending, short and dismissive with me. So bottom line, have someone else inspect the vehicle you are interested in BEFORE you agree to purchase it. I did manage to get a "free oil change" card. Doesn't matter. I'm not going back even for that! More
We dealt with Pete Turgeon to purchase a used vehicle from Tousley Ford. He was very knowledgable and helpful throughout the process, which included trading our vehicle. One thing we are very wary of is from Tousley Ford. He was very knowledgable and helpful throughout the process, which included trading our vehicle. One thing we are very wary of is high pressure from car dealers, and there was none of that from Pete. The used vehicle we purchased had a couple of minor issues, and Pete and Cindy were extremely helpful in resolving them. We were given a free loaner car while they worked on ours, and the Gold team was nothing but pleasant to work with. Scott called me a couple of times to keep us updated on the progress, which was important since we live 75 miles from the dealer and needed to coordinate the pickup with our work schedules. The entire buying/service experience from Pete/Tousley was a pleasureable one, and we will certainly consider them for our next vehicle purchase. Thanks again to Pete, Cindy and the Tousley team, Mike Green More
I respectfully disagree with a previous post that stated you shouldn't believe the negative posts about Tousley Ford. Please read on. We have leased one vehicle and purchased 3 from Tousley in the past you shouldn't believe the negative posts about Tousley Ford. Please read on. We have leased one vehicle and purchased 3 from Tousley in the past 10 years, the latest being in early summer of 2011. I can assure you this is our final transaction with Tousley Ford. The sales manager (don't have his card anymore)was unbelievably condescending to both my husband and me. I would strongly recommend human relations coursework for this man. If not for the condition of the vehicle we were trading, I would have walked out and not looked back. Bob Swanburg was so incredibly "busy" making another sale, that we waited for nearly 2 hours to pick up our Ford Escape. Not only did Bob fail to send someone else over to help us out, he blew us off entirely in showing us any features of our vehicle, which was substantially newer than our previous one. It has many features we have learned about only by reading the manual, because Bob didn't think he needed to provide a tutorial for the Escape. It was very clear to both of us that Bob was WAY too busy to provide any real assistance with our new vehicle. The single service that Bob did provide was syncing my cell phone. Period. The last purchase we made from Tousley (quite some time back)was followed with a courtesy call from the salesperson, about a week after we bought our Sport Trac. Needless to say, no calls have come from Bob or anybody else since our latest transaction. We were told that we would receive a free oil change- never received a card or notice of any kind. Two (not just one)service reminders that actually were sent to us had been postmarked and received several days after the due date for service! Shame on you, Tousley Ford. How careless. The final straw occurred when we decided to look elsewhere this fall for our 2 children's new vehicles. I was dreading another Tousley type of ordeal. I cannot begin to describe the ease of purchase and great overall experience- truly the "Polar" opposite of dealing with Tousley Ford. The salesperson contacted us after each sale & steps were taken immediately to deal with a couple of minor issues. The personal contact and follow-up couldn't have been more unlike the high volume mentality that dominates Tousley Ford and its sales force. My in-laws and a friend have also recently chosen another Ford dealer over Tousley, as they were turned off by our experience. All report a very good outcome with that dealer, which is also reviewed on this website. Yes, word of mouth remains a very powerful sales tool! I would urge anyone considering Tousley Ford to carefully consider every aspect when buying. People still wish to be treated like individual and important customers, and in a fair manner. I believe Tousley's mission to be the highest volume Ford dealer has cost this dealership its soul. It certainly has lost our family's business. More
Both my Husband and I had 7:30 am appointments. One vehicle for an oil change and new front brakes and one for some general maintenance. At 6pm that evening, we had to call to find out about our vehic vehicle for an oil change and new front brakes and one for some general maintenance. At 6pm that evening, we had to call to find out about our vehicle. Neither vehicle had been looked at yet. When asked why, Cindy told me they got too busy. Why did I have an appointment? We did have a loaner, but only one since both vehicles only had a few hours worth of work. The following day, work was missed and appointments needed to be cancelled due to Tousley having both of our vehicles. We finally picked up our vehicles at 6pm the following day. Cindy kept aologizing, however, it was too late. I brought my vehicle in very early, WITH AN APPOINTMENT!! Cindy eneded up not charging me for the oil change due to the "inconvenience", big deal! Also, one of the repairs to be done didn't get done, as the window that was to be fixed is still not working. There were also a few other things that were to be done that is believed not to be done, possibly because she was just trying to get usout of there. In the past, Tousley has had fairly good customer service, however, this isn't the first time they promised us our vehicles by a certain time and we did'nt get them until the next day. UNACCEPTABLE!!And guess what? we never received a survey in the mail, go figure huh? We've always gotten them right away every other time. I do not recommend Tousley Ford for any service!! More
Have purchased 5 vehicles from Tousley Ford, and will go nowhere else for service. Always friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and provide excellent service at great value. Thank You. Also, do not believe the nowhere else for service. Always friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and provide excellent service at great value. Thank You. Also, do not believe the negative posts. Give them a try for yourself. I have had nothing but positive experiences with all at Tousley. Jim More
Andy was very helpful in helping us find the way through the maze of data and options and disurn between the more importent versus less importent ones. He also prepared us for the next steps to come in the the maze of data and options and disurn between the more importent versus less importent ones. I will purchase my next truck at Tousley. Their service department is excellent. The people are great. They deserve my business. I walked away very pleased. department is excellent. The people are great. They deserve my business. I walked away very pleased. More
I've brought my cars here several times for service, only because it's the closest to my home and work. Each time the service person does a walk around and then tells me that my tires are worn and should be because it's the closest to my home and work. Each time the service person does a walk around and then tells me that my tires are worn and should be balanced. Had to laugh when Jose told me this once since the tires were brand new. They don't even look at the tires, they just tell you the tires are worn. It must be their standard pitch. I used their website to sign up for 100K maintenance on one of my cars. The website clearly stated what would be reviewed and replaced and this included spark plugs for my vehicle. When I went to pick up the car Jose asked if I wanted the spark plugs done since Ford recommends this at 100K miles. I told him DUH, that's why I brought it in. Waited an additional 2 hours for the mechanic to change spark plugs. The price on the website has no relationship to the actual price you're charged. Pointed this out to the Service Manager and I got a coupon for free oil change. No one updated the website. There's nothing bad about the quality of their repairs but I've had better service and less hassles at New Brighton Ford. More
