I was told over the phone $600 for a tune up, and the same thing when I dropped my car off. I was told 3-4 hours. This was Sat. morning. I never got a call that it was done. So I called at 5pm, appar same thing when I dropped my car off. I was told 3-4 hours. This was Sat. morning. I never got a call that it was done. So I called at 5pm, apparently if you talk to the "dealer" they have no idea I'd your car is ready to be picked up, like the girl said "I don't work in that department". But...she said they were open at 7 am in Shakopee. So I called, only Apple Valley is open then...but that girl told me my car was done?!?! WHAT?? She can tell from there? So, anyhow, I finally was able to pick up my car after work on Monday...and now it was just over $800 (that was with the $75 coupon I had too). My mistake, I paid it, but gave a horrible survey. So the "manager" Nick called me (left a message, I was out of town) to call him to go over the survey results. So I did, and I did, (was told he was not there) left a message to call me...no call back yet?!?! I would recommend going some place else for any kind of oil change, tune up, or anything else you want done. By the way, I owned a Taurus, bought it from there, and brought it there every time, was going to hopefully trade it in for a Fusion, but I got a Jetta!! More
Nick Ruge and his team of friendly, professional and qualified technicians did a great job servicing my Ford Escape. I had gone into a “big name" service station to get a free oil change with a coupon I qualified technicians did a great job servicing my Ford Escape. I had gone into a “big name" service station to get a free oil change with a coupon I had, while in there I was told that I needed a couple tires; which I already knew. But also was also told that I needed all new shocks and struts...hum, really on 53,000 miles. I called Apple Valley Ford and talked to Nick and he gave me the "Meet or Beat' deal on the tires. While the tires were getting mounted and alignment he checked out the allegedly bad shocks and struts and said there was nothing wrong with them. Thanks guys you just saved me a few hundred bucks. The difference in my ride now is smooth sailing and couldn’t be happier. We will be back in a heartbeat. More

Because of 1 peice of paper that wasn't filled out correctly, or had missing info the warranty would not be enforced, my Father tried calling the service manager and the manager of the whole dealership but calls were ignored, my father and step mom had bought many vehicles from ford-shakopee and spend $1000's using the service dept. Being a good and returning customer wasn't good enough. I was forced to pay full price for my tranny repair, my father is so upset with the way I was treated and the way he was ignored that WE WILL NEVER BUY or have another CAR SERVICED by apple ford of shakopee. I keep gettong quotes for a new Ford Edge - my vehicle is paid for and I am not in the mood to get into another car loan just yet! I have the regular service performed by the dealer, so I kniow first-hand what is available at the dealership. I have called and emailed the dealership to stop these annoying quotes for something I do not want, desire or need - all to no avail! The next time I go in for service, I am going to speak to the sales manager personally about this harrassment. More
I've had a few attempts at doing business with them. One time I looked at a car they had, their price was a little higher than what the market should have been for that car. To prove it to them, I found an time I looked at a car they had, their price was a little higher than what the market should have been for that car. To prove it to them, I found an almost identical car, same year, model, color, and all options with exception of a sunroof. The sunroof was a 650 dollar option when the car was new, however, the other car was priced 1500 dollars less. They refused to pricematch even though they have a price matching policy (even within 650 dollar difference), on the premise that, well, you can't just judge by the numbers and that they would have to put the cars side by side and look at scraches and oil change history and everything else. I ended up walking out. After I bought a car somewhere else, I brought it in for an oil change. During the 20 minutes they had the car, my car developed a check engine light. Right after that, the "techs" went home and I was left with one of the service writers to sort things out. He was very courteous, said that they will fix it since they did it and so on. With no one there to take a look at it, I ended up going home with the promise that they would take a look at it first thing in the morning. On the way home, I stopped by Autozone to have the computer scanned and figure out what the issue was. The error was about a temperature coolant sensor, which happens to be in the way if you take off the airbox to check the air filter - something all oil places seem to do when you just want an oil change. I took the car next day, they gave me a loaner focus, came back from work, and on the road I called to see what the status was. I was told that there was no problem and they just cleared the code, and as soon as I paid the 120 dollar diagnostic fee I would be on my way. At that point I started arguing with the service manager (different guy than the first one) about how it's supposedly not their fault and my car had a problem prior - even though he had just said there was no problem. After about an hour of arguing with him, I got told to leave and not come back. I told him not to worry, I wouldn't, unless I want a broken car again. When I got home, I've looked at the car and the connector to said sensor had been changed, it was now a different color. They did in fact fix what they must have realized was their mistake, but wanting to make money they wanted to charge me their ridiculous diagnostic fee. I would highly recommend against going there for service. More
