We had used Apple Valley Ford in the past and we were in need of a used car. We got to the dealership a litle before it was time for Steve Hunt to leave. When we were walking off the lot I saw something completely different from what I had asked Steve to show us. We took another test drive and that became the car I wanted. We were trading in a car so that needed to be appraised (thanks Cole!). The rest of the process continued to run smoothly (thanks Bret!). I was buying my dream car so I wanted to do it right...I'm so glad I did. Mike helped me get an order in for the exact Mustang I wanted, gave me a great price and went above and beyond in keeping me informed of where the car was in the production and shipping process, all via email and phone without ever having met me. Talk about a simple process. The biggest thing that made the whole experience special was when he called me on the Friday afternoon of Memorial Day weekend and said the car just arrived by rail and he wanted my permission to personally drive down to the shipping depot in Cottage Grove and get it and drive it back to the dealership so I could have it for the long holiday weekend versus waiting for the trucking company to deliver it the following week. Talk about making my Memorial Day weekend one I will never forget! In addition Mike did some other little touches that made me feel like I was more than just some random customer and he made me feel he was truly as excited about my new dream Mustang as I was. All the other people I dealt with that day at Apple Valley Ford were just as great and friendly. All in all, this was the most pleasant and fun auto buying experience I've ever had. More

From start to finish this was a bad experience. We went into Apple Valley Ford looking for a "new" used car to replace the one we had. We needed a car with good gas mileage as we are a 1 car family and di into Apple Valley Ford looking for a "new" used car to replace the one we had. We needed a car with good gas mileage as we are a 1 car family and didn't get that. This car we bought gets even worse mileage then the one we traded in. Since we bought this car 2/16/12, it has been in for repairs almost every week ranging from problems with the ABS to the traction control to our seat belts malfunctioning. We were dealing with Apple Valley Ford for the repairs since most of this was happening within the first 30 days. The last time we brought it there, the service technician ONLY put the part in. He didn't take it for a test drive after the work was done. He didn't shut the "code" off so that kept dinging at us and had to make yet another trip back to the dealership for them to shut it off. My husband contacted GM themselves and they helped us more then Apple Valley Ford did. All we kept getting from Ford was attitude. I DO NOT recommend ANYONE buying a vehicle, new or used, from Apple Valley Ford. More
