I had a good time coming in to get my car. The staff members treated me very nicely and our car sales guy was very great with us so was the finance manager. He end up speaking Spanish aswell. Found this dealership 7 years ago. Ordered a van with relative ease and got a good/fair offer on my trade in at the time. My experience was so good when it came time to get my next van I came back. Unfortunately the salesman I used retired so had to use another. To my chagrin, I had a new salesman in a new building with an entirely new feel. To be clear, the new salesman was very friendly, my biggest problem was he never kept me informed on my order. I started to call once a months in the beginning to see if there was any updates but he never seemed to remember me. After 5 months one of our conversations left me with the impression that “my van might not even be made”(due to supply chain issues) so I stopped calling. Out of the blue After 4 more months I got a call my truck was in. I was told I had a week to sell my truck as they didn’t want to wait too long to complete the transaction. Because of this short window I was suddenly presented with, I felt a week to sell my van might be impossible so I asked Apple Valley if they could look at my vehicle for a possible trade The trade offer on my truck was so bad that I had to go to a competitor of Apple Valley and sell it outright for 6k more than they offered me. If I had used this dealership to buy my vehicle it would have been more. When I told the competitor of the offer from Apple Valley they shook their head and said Apple Valley would have been better off just telling me they didn’t want it. Needless to say I did get the van I wanted but am very disappointed with the fact I felt like they tried to fleece me. More

My family and I have been buying vehicles from Apple Valley Ford for the last 20+ years. We always purchase from Mark Halverson for a couple reasons: 1. He is honest, to the point which makes car buying experiences with him easy and no pressure. 2. Mark is knowledgeable and always ensures we are taken care of. Just one of the many examples is I had bought a used Ford Escape and they forgot to put the oil cap on. I drove back because the car was smoking because the oil had spilled out onto the engine. Mark had the service team steam clean the engine, refilled my gas and gave me a $50 Target gift card to go across the street while I waited for the inconvenience. Even though someone made a mistake Mark and everyone went above and beyond. 3. Mark is responsive and available. Not once in the 20+ years has he said, no that time won't work for you to come in. He always makes time. 4. When working with Mark I always feel that we are his only customer and the most important client - even though I know he has multiple customers and repeat clients. When we retire and move out of state I will fly back to MN for any car purchases because of our positive history with Mark and AV Ford. We have sent multiple co-workers, friends and family to Mark as well because of the relationship and trust we have built with Mark and AV Ford. More
