Our salesman, Joseph Pierre, was extremely professional, very pleasant and did not pressure us. He knew the 2017 Camry from top to bottom and was enthusiastic without being overbearing. The manager, Bryan Shannon, was equally down-to-earth, patient, and very knowledgeable. He was truly helpful when it came to making some of the smaller but still important decisions about service options and other add-ons. We felt we got a very good deal. Most importantly, both Joseph and Brian really listened to us and tried to meet our needs rather than trying to convince us to purchase something that wasn't quite what we wanted. We would recommend this dealership, and particularly Joseph Pierre and Bryan Shannon, to anyone looking for a positive experience purchasing a Toyota. More
Decent Price, Long Days, Left Irritated My wife and I spent 5 hours with the dealership on Tuesday. We only looked at one vehicle there, test drove it, negotiated a price, talked about a few My wife and I spent 5 hours with the dealership on Tuesday. We only looked at one vehicle there, test drove it, negotiated a price, talked about a few issues with paint chips and scratches and a little corrosion around the battery, and bought it. My salesperson assured me that they would flush the engine and fix the scratches and chips. At the end of 5 hours we needed to get home for our son and they brought the car to the building. I looked at the car, it was clean, scratches were not fixed and engine was not flushed. The salesperson said that one of the scratches was a bit deep and was a longer repair. He said if I brought it back first thing in the morning that they could get the painting done in a few hours and get the engine flushed - to just call him when I was on my way. No problem. The next morning I grab my laptop, fortunately I can work remotely, and called my salesperson to let him know that I was on my way. Met him, went over the scratches, chips, flushing the engine and I mentioned that I can hear a slight squeal when applying the brake and when the vehicle first gets moving. I said it probably is just a piece of rust caught between the brake shoe and rotor (or maybe a tag from the brake shoe), could they take a look at it? He said, that it was no problem he said the vehicle sat for awhile and he would "have his guys look at it", but if it was something more than that the vehicle is "as is". I said "ok". He said that he would call me and give me an idea when they could get it done. I took my laptop to McDonald's and waited for a call—That was at 10am . . . 2pm rolls around, no calls. I send a text to the salesperson's cell for a time estimate and I buy a late lunch. 3pm I tried calling—twice. He calls me back, and says that they are taking the tape off of it now. I walk back to the dealership and look at the vehicle and the long scratch on the side of the vehicle is still there as well as the chip in the drivers door and chips on the hood. Let me make something perfectly clear at this point, I do understand that I bought a used car and it will not look new; but, when I was told that the things I pointed out would be "taken care of", that was the deal, their word, and part of the $25,500 (and part of the "reconditioning agreement") I paid for the vehicle. This is, after all, the third used car I have bought and my seventh vehicle I know how this works. I asked my salesperson if the engine was flushed. He said no, he would get it done after they (the painters) are done. 4pm—I look at the vehicle with my salesperson. The long scratch is buffed out but the chips on the drivers side door and hood are all still untouched. The painter says, "I can't fix those." I think the proper contraction should have been "won't." I am assuming most professional painters can fix chips. (I know I fixed one once with Bondo, sandpaper, a buffer, and my old airbrush.) My salesperson says nothing. I have six hours invested at this point. Plus the five from the previous day. I am done... mentally and physically. I have never been good at waiting but clearly it was worth it to me because I wanted the items taken care of and I was told they would be . . . My father taught me that you have one chance to make a first impression. He also taught me if you say you are going to do something—do it. I use that in my business and I expect if from other businesses. Quite honestly, I like my salesperson and the sales manager—neither are pushy and both were kind. I just wanted to leave feeling good about my "new" car, especially after waiting for 6 hours and—I didn't. As I drove away and heard the slightly high-pitched squeal, coupled with the fact that I would now sit in backed-up traffic on 32 and hear it every time I braked . . . Would I buy another vehicle from here? More
