No high pressure, just a gentle nudge Most of us dread car shopping, especially the high pressure. I loved my 10-year-old Prius, but it was time to replace it. I saw a Prius 3 Touring on t Most of us dread car shopping, especially the high pressure. I loved my 10-year-old Prius, but it was time to replace it. I saw a Prius 3 Touring on the lot that I liked and took it for a test drive...alone, no salesperson in the car. Ross could have wasted my time waxing prophetic about the car's myriad virtues, trying to sell me more than I wanted and urging me to finance the car, but he didn't. There was one follow-up phone call because I had indicated I wanted my husband to check out the car; Ross told me he had a hold on the car for me. We didn't haggle about price: I targeted a price with trade-in and it was accepted. I have dealt with this dealership since purchasing my old Prius 10 years ago. We can have unrealistic expectations about cost of service and price of vehicles (all those extra fees), but knowing that a dealership will stand behind what it sells and make an effort to ameliorate any problem should count for a lot. More
