I had a great experience with Felecia at Antwerpen Hyundai in Clarksville. She was really friendly and helpful, even when my father decided to be an ass to her in an effort to haggle the price. She wa Hyundai in Clarksville. She was really friendly and helpful, even when my father decided to be an ass to her in an effort to haggle the price. She was able to answer all of my questions about my 2012 Elantra, and even help me set my bluetooth up. Overall, Felecia was great throughout the whole buying process, and I would definitely recommend her to ANYONE looking for a new Hyundai! More

The pricing was such that the new car at Antwerpen was a better overall value than the low mileage "deal" at CarMax. Jacob, the finance person, explained the extended warrenty and financing options. Once we made our selections he processed the paperwork quickly, answering any questions we had along the way. We were pleased that we were able to accomplish the purchase, trade-in, and financing all in one stop. More
I purchased the 2011 Sonata from Antwerpen Hyundai last weekend. I can truly say that this car buying experience was exemplary. I was interested in this dealership because they offered the first time car buyer program. I initially contacted Lortou Browne through the Internet sales department, which he responded promptly to. Although I had taken this car for a test drive before, he explained the features of the car, (a previous dealership didn’t) and allowed me to test drive the car. Lortou was engaging during the credit process and very patient while we set up a new insurance policy. After getting this straight, I met Jacob, the finance manager, who was very polite and professional. He also had conversation with my father and myself while we finalized the purchase. I did not feel rushed out of the dealership after the sale, Lortou helped me pair my phone with the car, and was sure to answer any other questions I have had. I’m happy with this dealership and will recommend them to my friends and family. For first time car buyers, I recommend this dealership. Three other Hyundai dealerships turned me down based on this factor alone. The first dealership was not welcoming when we walked in, with only one salesman willing to help us with the process. The second told me they could get me into “a car”, just not a 2011 Sonata new or used, since it was my first auto loan. And the last did not give me an option at all, just repeating “you’re going to need a co-signer”. It’s funny that these are the same dealerships with the highest ratings on here. Prospective buyers, do not walk into a dealership with your expectations set based on these reviews, but let it be your guide, for each car buying experience is unique. And first time buyers, don’t give up on the car that you’re set on, just shop around. For all of you who may laugh at the Sonata being my dream car, (the Genesis Coupe in another 5 years), I bet you’re the same ones breaking your neck to peek at it when the Sonata drives by. Don’t knock it til you drive it. LT More
They definitely "handle" customers at this dealership. During our initial visit, when we were ready to purchase a car, we spent three hours waiting to complete the paperwork because, as we were told, the finance manager had a family issue and was running late for his 1:00 pm start time. We were advised to get lunch and then come back and he would be there no later than 2:00 pm. We arrived back at the dealership a few minutes after 2:00 pm and he still was not there, but we were told he was just 1 mile away from the dealership. After more time lapsed we were told he was there and was in his office getting our paperwork ready. Eventually, Travis Talbott came out to get us and he apologized for the delay telling us that the finance manager was in law school as an explanation for his delay in arriving. So then Travis told us he was the general manager of the facility, not the finance manager as Richard Murphy had indicated. We had told Richard Murphy when we initially arrived that we had secured financing at 1.99 % and he said that he had talked to the finance manager (who was supposedly not in at this point) and they could probably offer a better rate. When we talked with Travis he told us that the best rate he could offer would be 3.0%, but then told us he would check to make sure. He then came back saying the rate had dropped to 0.9% overnight. We were glad to get the lower rate, but feeling a bit uncomfortable about the conflicting information we were receiving. Finally, when we were trying to finish all the paperwork it was determined that the dealership did not have one document we needed to sign and someone was told to "run across the street" to get it. At this point, the person who we thought was the actual finance manager, Kevin, arrived and handled the last few details. The car was supposedly being picked up in Springfield, PA and would be at the dealership by 9:00 pm that evening. Richard Murphy told me that he would be in at 1:00 pm today so I told him I would be there at 2:00 pm to pick up the car; no problem I was told. Today I arrived there at about 1:30 pm and asked for Richard. When he came out he asked if I had not told him I would be there at 2:30 pm. I told him that we had set the pickup time for 2:00 pm. Well, he said that "they" are just finishing up with the car and it should be ready very soon. I thought that was a bit strange because I had fully expected to see the clean car waiting in the parking lot when I arrived. So periodically he would tell me that "they" were almost done with the car...the windows were just being washed, glue was being removed from the inside of the car, etc. Finally, about 2:45 pm he told me he was going to bring the car around to the front. I went outside and then saw him drive off. I figured he was filling it with gas. When he returned he apologized about the car not being fully cleaned, but that he did not want to keep me waiting so I could just call him at a later date to bring it in for a full detailing. I was rather shocked. The car was supposedly at the dealership since last night and nobody bothered to clean it before I arrived to pick it up, even if I was a half hour early. There were grimy fingerprints on the back window, the side windows were totally streaked and looked like they had only been wiped with a wet cloth, there was still water on the car (I actually think that Richard must have taken it through a car wash when he took it out.), the tires and wheels were dirty, there were two scratches on the passenger's side of the car and a ding/dent mark on the driver's door. Needless to say, I was less than thrilled with my "new car" and told Richard. He told me that "they" could fix the scratches and I would never notice them. Now, why did he really think that I would trust this dealership to get this work properly done when they could not even deliver a clean car to me???? I called my husband and he was quite disturbed by this whole situation. He had not come with me to pick up the car because Richard had assured us that it would only take 10 minutes to pick it up and get the tags off of my trade-in vehicle. So after the financing/paperwork fiasco from yesterday and now this, any tentative confidence we had was gone. My husband told Richard to put the tags back on my truck, return the title to me and shred all of the paperwork. At this point, everyone became very unprofessional with me, actually nasty. After my husband spoke with Kevin, whom we had been previously told was the finance manager, he came out to me and shoved my title at me. He then went into his office to shred our documents. I gathered the new car info Richard had given to me and took it to Kevin in his office. I asked him if I could have one of his business cards so that I knew who I was dealing with, but he refused to give me one. He said...and I quote...."I'm not trying to be smart lady, but why do you need my business card." He then told me he was the general sales manager. I told him I thought that Travis was the general sales maanger. "No...those are old business cards that he uses." The whole experience was very troublesome. I will never attempt to purchase a car from any Antwerpen dealership, nor recommend this poorly run group of dealerships to anyone. The place was creepy and dirty as well. More

Dont buy a car from here or any Antwerpen. I bought a vehicle from Antwerpen and was suppose to just be a co-signer at the dealership they said if i went first on the loan we would get a better interest vehicle from Antwerpen and was suppose to just be a co-signer at the dealership they said if i went first on the loan we would get a better interest rate. So i did they said it would still show up on the co-signer credit so she could refinance the car. They didn't look out for my well being because she has been paying on time and has been late 16 times and 8 more then 30 days. So i repo the vehicle only to find out I have NO LEGAL rights to the car. My co-signer is the only one on the title. More
We went to Antwerpen Hyundai looking for a 2011 Elantra Limited Premium and even though they did not have any on their lot, Murph still took the time to show us the 2011 Elantra Limited and to search the c Limited Premium and even though they did not have any on their lot, Murph still took the time to show us the 2011 Elantra Limited and to search the computer for any dealership in a five state area that had what we were looking for. They were able to locate what we wanted, but we actually ended up buying the model that they had right there on the showroom floor. The car is a great car for the price and Murph, Jacob and Travis were very accomodating and worked with us to help us get the car for a price that we could afford. We have not dealt with the service aspect of the dealership yet, but I would definitely recommend the sales team. More

They were flexible enough to allow us to bring the used car we were interested in to our mechanic all the way in Pikesville. 3. They settled on a fair price. Now let me tell you all the reasons they were horrible: 1. While trying to sell us the Hyundai Sonata that we were exploring they told us to check the CarFax and we would see that it had been owned by one owner and that the owner had been their customer and just traded it in to upgrade to a newer Hyundai. NOT TRUE...it had been a rental vehicle in Louisiana. 2. They told us the internet price was rock bottom, but told us with a wink to call back the next day for a "special price". This indicated to us that the price was in fact negotiable and so we attempted to enter into negotiations with them after they offered a price that was $500 less. 3. They made it a point to emphasize that the car was Hyundai Certified preowned. Although they used this as a selling point, NO ONE IN THE FACILITY could give us a copy of the actual warranty. (they said their finance person who was the expert in wabout 3 minutes prior to our call which was at the end of the day. Richard Freeman, who was supposed to drive the car to us on that day was not even in the office. It was actually his day off! So we terminated the agreement and bought the exact same car (actually 10,000 miles less) at another dealership which was TONS nicer to deal with. No hassle and very accomodating. Bottom line: the personnel were kind until the sale was made. then they had the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The used car sales manager actually called me to apologize and when I related my experience, he agreed and said there was nothing he could say to justify their behavior.arranties was off for the day) so... 4. When I called the next day, even the warranty "expert" could not make it his business to fax this warranty to us. ALL DAY LONG. We had agreed to a price the day prior and, pending our receipt of this warranty, they were supposed to bring the vehicle to us in Pikesville where we would complete the sale. This was promised by our salesman, Mr. Freeman and was supposed to take place on Thursday. 5. On Thursday, we called again to try to get this warranty. Again. ALL DAY...NO RESPONSE. When we finally got through to someone (the dealership does not always answer their phone) he claimed to have faxed it earlier, when in actuality my husband received the fax only moments before. The secretary told me it was Richard Freeman's day off, so how in the world was he supposed to deliver the car to me as he had promised he would??? At that point I terminated the agreement. The used car sales manager called me and apologized and told me he could not justify their behavior. More
