Both the salesman, Michael McBride and the Finance person, Michael Thomas were very competent, friendly and helpful during the sales transaction. Since I was replacing my 2013 Hyundai Sonata, I was already familiar with many of the basic features of the 2016 model, and Michael McBride was glad to answer any questions I had regarding the additional features in the new model. One outstanding employee Salesman Justin King was outstanding, knowledgeable and professional. Our experience with the dealership was not as good. On our first visit, there w Salesman Justin King was outstanding, knowledgeable and professional. Our experience with the dealership was not as good. On our first visit, there were no license plates available so we could not take a test drive. On our second visit we were able to test-drive one vehicle without delay, but the tags on that car were needed elsewhere on our return, so we had to wait for plates to test-drive a second vehicle. Once we decided to purchase a car, the wait to see the employee who prepares the purchase documents was over an hour, far too long even on a busy day, especially since ours was an all-cash transaction. I cannot emphasize enough that, had Mr. King not been so helpful, we would have left and purchased elsewhere. When we finally got to see the appropriate employee, he apologized for the delay and had us sign only a purchase agreement, suggesting that we come back the following day to complete the rest of the paperwork. This employee, too, was knowledgeable and professional, and like Mr. King, clearly was doing all that he could to make things go smoothly. From our perspective, the problems all stemmed from the dealership itself, and not from these two employees. In summary, we purchased a car from this dealership only because of Mr. King. We will not be repeat customers, and will not recommend this dealership to our friends. More
Needs Improvement I posted this in the previous page, but it's worth repeating: The purchase process itself went smoothly, I have no complaints there. However, before I drove the car off the lot I decided to check under the hood. It turned that all the fiberglass paneling (panel under the hood, back panel, battery panel) had been destroyed. The panels had apparently been destroyed by an animal like a squirrel or other rodent. I changed my mind about the purchased, but the seller informed me they could easily/quickly correct the problems. That didn't turn out to be the case. It took more than a month to get all the parts in and two days to complete the work even though I was informed it would take about two hours to complete the work. I called numerous times to obtain a status of my vehicle, but no one seemed to have an answer. Nobody bother to call to let me know that the job would take much longer than expected. The following day, after numerous attempts, I was finally able to speak with a service representative at around 3:00 P.M. I was informed the vehicle was ready. When I arrived on site, the vehicle was not ready. It turned out that there was a problem with the brakes and the brakes needed to be bled. I had to wait some more. Obviously, I am not pleased with the overall experience. I requested to speak with the manager several times, but he was never available. I left a message and asked that he called me, but he never did. I know that it is Hyundai policy to perform an inspection of the battery, tires, oil, etc., before delivering a vehicle to a customer. This obviously did not take place. I am a loyal Hyundai fan. I've purchased 3 vehicles from Hyundai in the last two years and 4 in the last five. I deserve to be treated better than this! More
Post purchase troubles Dealer forgot to do the pre delivery inspection. I brought the car in for it and they did it wrong so I had to bring the car back a second time. That helped. The car salesman was impossible to get a hold of afterwards but when I talked to the manager, he handled it. More
