I didn't feel pressured into buying any particular car. I owned a Santa Fe and was happy with that particular car. I had very few mechanical problems and new my next car would be a Hyuandi. The finance part of my car buying experience went very smoothly, They didn't keep me waiting and told me immediately that I was approved for the car financing. This can be the part of the car buying experience that can cause any customer anxiety. Mr. Darlington answered all of my questions about my financing package. I am a very busy person. I did my research online and went to Antwerpen. I ask for the Sales Mgr and Jeff came over and took care of me. I got the Sonata I wanted at a better price then I expected. Mike went to Antwerpen. I ask for the Sales Mgr and Jeff came over and took care of me. I got the Sonata I wanted at a better price then I expected. Mike Antwerpen was at the front desk and was very helpful. He made certain I got the lowest finance rate and explained the extended warranty. I enjoyed buying my Sonata at Antwerpen Hyundai. Salesman Tony Williams was very kind, knowledgeable, and professional. Sales manager and Gen. mgr. at this dealership are jerks. Had a good experience here a few years ago, so trusted a return visit to be good also. WRONG. This was THE most uncomfortable HIGH PRESSURE sale I have ever experienced. Lured in by Internet pricing...which return visit to be good also. WRONG. This was THE most uncomfortable HIGH PRESSURE sale I have ever experienced. Lured in by Internet pricing...which is basically geared to get you on the hook. Then everything changes. They practically held my trade in, as well as my wife and I, hostage for almost 6 hours and would not seem to take NO for an answer! The salesman Luis was terribly high pressure. It was to the point of either calling a cab and/or the police...thats how bad we felt about this dealer and just wanting to leave! After six hours of smoke and mirrors, the General Manager played enough games with interest rates and down payments so that I could leave with the car...as if I was paying to escape! Games it was. I would NEVER recommend this dealer with this current crop of managers and sales people to anyone. More
This dealer ship try's to rip people off by placing false price in the back of automobiles and not arnoring them. They place a black Jeep Partiot on display near the street for 5999 but when you get there th price in the back of automobiles and not arnoring them. But here the catch, they would say the words "OFF" or "Discounts" or "Save up to" .... ect.. They don't so they are try to trick the custumer to came in. At first indicated price flexibility, but when time came to talk price they started at the listed price and went up--and refused to even consider a lower price than the original asking price. The most laughable part of the experience was that they actually added $695 freight on a USED car. I have never even heard of a dealer doing this, let alone to defend it. My sales person was nice enough, but Mike Williams, the sales manager was pushy, arrogant and unrealistic in his expectation that customers would believe that their original asking price was a money-loser for them. Have spoken to several Antwerpen dealerships over the years, and have found a consistent level of "scheisster"-factor at each dealership. More
I took my car to have it fixed and three weeks later it totally broke down on me. I had just paid them my damn are and now they want my leg, Kidney and heart. When I decided to buy a vehicle, I went to Antwerpen Hyundai on route 40. At the time I was looking for a four wheel drive six cylinder. When told I needed a bigger down payment to buy the Sante Fe, I Hyundai on route 40. At the time I was looking for a four wheel drive six cylinder. When told I needed a bigger down payment to buy the Sante Fe, I was going to leave. Gary talked me into hanging around for six hours. At this point Mike Antwerpen stepped into the sale, telling me that if I would take said vehicle and make four payments, he personally guaranteed me to get the vehicle I really wanted. Today I went back to get the promised vehicle. After four more hours, I was told by Gary I needed to put out another two grand and pay $100.00 more a month to get the vehicle. Had I have known they could be so underhanded, I would have kept my Intrepid.<br>I am smarter today from the mistakes I made yesterday.<br>Cynthia King More
