The buying experience was very simple. I worked with Rob through email to begin the process - I already knew which vehicle I wanted to buy. This was the best car buying experience we've ever had. Throughout the entire transaction, Robert May was open, helpful, and courteous. He had different versions of the car we were considering brought up immediately from the back lot and let us compare options and colors and inspect the cars closely on our own. What questions we brought to him he answered clearly and quickly. The man is very knowledgeable about cars in general and about Hyundais in particular. And he offered excellent advice on our choices, without steering us towards any particular car or set of options. He wasn't the least bit pushy or coercive. The initial price Robert quoted, based on an Internet price on the Antwerpen website, was already very competitive. We'd done research on the Edmunds and Kelley Blue Book sites, checked out different dealership websites, and visited other Hyundai dealers. So we knew. After we settled on the car we wanted and test drove it--a car that had just been delivered to the dealership that day (in other words, not a car they were trying to unload)--Robert offered it to us at a price that was already close to, if not below, dealer invoice. And the final price was so good that a friend of ours (a real "car guy") called it "a steal." Negotiations were quick and friendly, and Robert seemed more interested in selling us a car at a good price than in getting every last buck he could out of the deal. I was also pleased with the courtesy of the entire Antwerpen community. Other salespeople and a greeter on the premises made sure that we were looked after and taken care of. Everyone was considerate but not intrusive. The finance officer (Darlington, I believe) was efficient, articulate, and engaging. Nice guy. More

We had an excellent buying experience from Antwerpen Hyundai in Catonsville. The salesman, Rob May, was undoubtedly one the best salesman I have worked with in the past 25 years when purchasing a car. He was personable and knowledgeable, responsive in getting answers to important questions, up-front about pricing (internet listed prices can be deceiving when shopping for cars), and he understood the importance of providing a highly competitive price early in the car shopping process vs. later. Rob provides exceptional service during the initial car shopping phases, during the sales/test driving processes, and following the sale. We drove an hour to purchase the car from this dealership even though we had a local Hyundai dealership available and several others closer by. The dealership had a large selection of Elantras and Sonatas to choose from - however they did sell a significant amount of their inventory by the end of the weekend. We also had a highly positive experience with the Customer Services manager, Nicole Bartch, in explaining additional coverage packages, and were impressed with the speed and efficiency in taking care of the paperwork in the Business Office. You can tell that the people we were connected with at this dealership were highly positive about their jobs, loyal to the dealership, and were exceptionally customer focused. We have not used the Service Department yet, but I would highly recommend this dealership when searching for a new car. More

I remember thinking I was going to get harrassed and treated a certain way - my previous thoughts on car salesmen. I was completely wrong. Unfortunately I can't remember the gentleman's name that helped me but I do remember not feeling hounded and pressured. I appreciated the help and information that was given at the time. This was my first new car experience and they made it a great one. I take my car here to be serviced as well and that is always a pleasant experience. I even have my brother take his Hyundai here for service. We tried something in Dundalk once for his car and it was not that great of an experience. More
upon entering the dealership a woman who was sloppily dressed asked why we were there. she introduced us to charles. i explained we were looking to purchase a new car and that we were comparing a lot o dressed asked why we were there. she introduced us to charles. i explained we were looking to purchase a new car and that we were comparing a lot of different cars. price was going to determine the car we purchased because we had already narrowed down to the models we would consider. i explained that it was price only - color was not important. charles proceeded to walk us around the car lot showing us every color the sonota came in - really - didn't care. we took a test drive. then he provided a price. too high so the 'man in the tie' came over and said that was the price. no haggling - no negotiating. we left. never once did charles - or the man in the tie (who did not introduce himself) ask for our name, phone, any contact info. terrible experience. More
