Buying a car can be so painfully long and involved. We had a very easy experience. The process was fast, and the staff was courteous and friendly. I researched vehicles for a couple of months prior to purchase. The Hyundai Elantra and Sonata were two of my top 5 cars of interest. I chose Antwerpen as the place to test drive as they appeared to ha purchase. The Hyundai Elantra and Sonata were two of my top 5 cars of interest. I chose Antwerpen as the place to test drive as they appeared to have the largest inventory, based on the website. I contacted the internet sales department and made an appointment to test drive with Rob May. Rob pulled 3 cars for me to test drive and showed me all the features. He told me he could get whatever I wanted (exterior/interior/package) and to just let him know when I decided what I wanted, with no pressure. I spoke with some other (closer to home) dealerships to check on availability of what I wanted and price, with specifics to color/interior/package. My experiences with these other dealerships included the range of no one getting back to me at all, to telling me the 2 specific cars I was most interested in were so rare to find that I probably wouldn't be able to get them, to calling me/emailing me several times a day and trying to get me to purchase a car I didn't want, and this progressed to scare tactics when I told them I had decided to purchase from another salesman/dealership. Also, the price was better at Antwerpen than any of the other dealerships that answered me, which made purchasing from there a no-brainer. I really appreciated Rob's no-pressure approach to the sale. I was stressed at the prospect of buying a new car but Rob made the process go as smoothly and quickly as possible. I am very happy with my new car purchasing experience and with my new car. More
Rob May was very helpful on the phone in answering all our questions. He met with us at his desk to continue to discuss the car we were looking to buy without us feeling too pressured to buy. The night before we test drove a similar car where we felt like the salesman spent very little time with us. That salesman basically just handed us keys, let us test drive the car on our own and asked us flat out if wee were definitely going to buy the car. While we appreciated being able to test drive in privacy, the experience felt very impersonal. That is why we felt so inclined to purchase from Rob May. More

My 2010 Sonata which I have only had for 1 year 4 months (20 miles when I bought it) now has rust spots and the service manager is trying to say that it is not obvious to him that it is a paint defect. It has been several weeks and no contact. I have gone in, and I have called twice, to no avail. I am about to write to the corporate offices in California. If that doesn't provide satisfaction, I will be contacting my attorney! More
We purchased a new Elantra and did all our shopping online. Rob May was great dealing with and the price agreed upon was the final cost. I had done a decent amount of research before hand, so I knew which vehicle that I wanted. I called ahead, so once I got there everything was ready to go for the test drive. If I had decided to come back at another time to buy then this probably would of been a perfect review. However, after the test drive I decided I would buy the car, which unfortantely this is when time started to slip by a lot faster than I had estimated. I had all the necessary paper work, even a pre-approved auto loan. So, I got to and out of finance fast. This means I went through all the identifying paperwork (with Rob), customer service add-ons (like Dent protection and Lojack sale with Tracy), and then to Finance. For me Finance was a breeze as I had a pre-approved loan, so all Darlington did was see if he could get a better loan deal. Which he did and shaved over a 1% off my loan rate. So, at this point everything is still perfect! However, after doing finance I had to wait almost 30 minutes for some unkown reason (I actually was just standing in the showroom waiting) to drive off with my SUV. More
I always feel I get a good deal at Antwerpen Hyundai. I bought an Xg350 there in 2005 and now 2 Sonata GLS PZEV trims there (simultaneously).
