I had wrecked my 2007 sonata that I had bought new at Antwerpen. It had no bells or whistles, just a basic new car, but I really liked that car. I called Antwerpen, talked with Isaac, and with the 1 day that I was available was the 1 day that Isaac had off. But what could've been a disheartening thing, without hesitation, Isaac said he would come in on his day off. This is a man who wants to sell cars. Things went better than I thought they would, and that evening I left the lot with an awewsome car, has some bells and whistles on it and I'm still learning how they all work. Everyone at Antwerpen was extremely helpful through all the steps of purchasing a vehicle, but Isaac went above and beyond and is a GREAT asset to this dealership. I am sure that I will be an Antwerpen customer for life- They really want to sell cars!!! And I will definitely recommend them to all friends who are looking to purchase a vehicle. We, (my wife and myself) visited three other dealerships where we drove and tested their cars. Bob was by far the most knowledgable of all the salesmen we encountered and the easiest to work with on all is where we drove and tested their cars. We especially liked the no hard sales pitches and no wasted time in coming to a price we thought was fair. We drove the car one day and told him we were visiting other dealers and would get back to him. We called him four days later and when we went back it was a quick and pleasant closing experience. The people at Antwerpen greeted me politely at the door and steered me in the direction of Isaac Magin. Isaac could not have been nicer or more knowledgable. He could not have done any better of a job and should have gotten a 10 if the ratings went that high. In short, Antwerpen Hyundai Catonsville was a good choice to go car shopping for a new Hyundai car, and Isaac is very good at what he does, highly recommend him. There was no unnecessary haggling, no hiding of information, very friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and helpful, did not try to sell other un-needed stuff, stayed true to his word, gave us a good deal, and made the whole car shopping and buying experience pleasant and not so stressful. As a person who has purchased new vehicles in the past (apparently from all the wrong places), I went into this expecting to get the runaround from sales associates, high prices, and unwillingness to work (apparently from all the wrong places), I went into this expecting to get the runaround from sales associates, high prices, and unwillingness to work with the customer. However, what I found at Antwerpen Hyundai in Catonsville was completely different. First off, Maurice Mitchell contacted me by phone after seeing my internet inquiry. I explained to him what all I was looking for, what problems I've had with other dealerships, and what I was able to do. Maurice then told me that he believed they could get me in what I wanted and that they would take care of me if I gave them a chance. Of course, because of recent bad experiences with dealerships I was a little skeptical. Although I was skeptical, I went ahead and scheduled a meeting with Maurice. After meeting him, we immediately started the process and didn't waste time haggling back and forth with him trying to change my mind or anything like that. He took all of my information, went to speak to sales/finance managers, and was back with an answer in a few minutes. Normally, a salesman comes back, and says "Okay, this is where we're at", then proceeds to write some numbers down on a sheet of paper. This is usually not anywhere near where the customer wants to be. To my surprise, this is not what happened at all. Maurice came back with GREAT news, and didn't try to get more money out of me or anything like that. We agreed on the price and the deal the bank had approved, and he took it from there. Wow! Within 30 minutes of being in a dealership, I already had bank approval and paperwork being submitted. Everything else after this was great as well. I purchased the 2013 Veloster that was on the showroom floor, so they moved it out and took it to the gas station to fill it up. They then parked it right outside the door, where it would be waiting on me when I walked outside. Anyways, I could go on and on about the great experience I had at this dealership, but overall, it was the best car buying experience that I've had. Of note, this is also the nicest Hyundai dealership that I've ever been in. Thank you Maurice for being true to what you say and for your assistance with buying a new vehicle.
