I have had some bad experiences with the service department since few years ago, when Carl retired from this Institution. Arleen is the rudest of all of them. Steve was good to me, Jacob is the one department since few years ago, when Carl retired from this Institution. Arleen is the rudest of all of them. Steve was good to me, Jacob is the one who is NOT doing his job. People were CORDIAL and got things done in the service department. They cared about the customers and had RESPECT. Now, there is a lot of disrespect towards customers and I see that they want me to do their job of calling the warranty company for service approval in order to fix my one and only vehicle I own and is my only transport. AV Chevrolet has authorized vehicle rental and I have been paying for full coverage insurance for the vehicle and and me, that costs $$$$$. I am NOT B of A. I am NOT rich. I am NOT dumb. I am NOT xxxxxxxx. After this repair, I will NOT bring my vehicle back for anything. In fact, the owner was one of my husband’s friends before my husband died of cancer in 2021. God help us!!!!!!! This dealership has gone down hill over the last couple of years. The owner is worried about posting on social media rather than how his business is ran. I have been going to the service dept at this dea of years. The owner is worried about posting on social media rather than how his business is ran. I have been going to the service dept at this dealership for over 6 years. The service use to be amazing the service advisors were nice and knowledgeable. When you made an appointment your vehicle actually got looked at that day and if not they would tell you they were keeping it and why. Now all of the service advisors have been replaced and an “appointment “ is not that. It’s a drop your vehicle off and hope you one day get it back. Your vehicle sits in a que of a technician and they get to it when they can. They accept more vehicles than they have technicians to work on. You have to leave your vehicle till the can get to it which can take longer than a week at least. If you need your vehicle your out of luck. They do not provide a rental even if they keep your vehicle for months. they have also gotten rid of their courtesy van to transport their service customers. I highly recommend that you take your Chevrolet vehicle to any other service provider and buy a Chevrolet vehicle from any other dealer. I have not experienced a more poorly tan business. The service advisors I dealt with do their best but unfortunately their hands are tied by the poor business practices of the owner. They have zero respect for customer loyalty. I would have driven 0 stars but unfortunately that is not an option. More
Came back from Arizona where they don't add Ethanol and my 2003 Blazer ran fine until I put that first tank of California Gas with Ethanol in it, then it just stopped. I have changed out the MASS AIRFLOW S my 2003 Blazer ran fine until I put that first tank of California Gas with Ethanol in it, then it just stopped. I have changed out the MASS AIRFLOW SENSOR twice because of California gas. It was a reoccurring problem. The Mechanic SWORE it blew a cylinder, but it just stopped running 5 minutes after I filled the tank. They wanted to charge me for an entire engine or trade it in for $300. My Blazer was loaded with all my things except for my tool box. Headed for my dying dad, I traded it and have been regretful ever since. This is not an honest shop. Stay away from Antelope Valley Chevrolet. More
Took my 2017 Colorado in because AC compressor was grinding. I told them a mechanic had checked it and I also used a PVC pipe to hear the grind. They kept the car 7 days and replaced the alternator. grinding. I told them a mechanic had checked it and I also used a PVC pipe to hear the grind. They kept the car 7 days and replaced the alternator. I asked "why?" it was working fine, battery was good and volts said 14.5+. They said it was dirty. There was no explanation as to why they replaced the alternator. They insisted that it was the alternator that was the problem. I picked up the car and immediately returned it saying the AC was grinding. They kept the car another 7 days and replaced the AC compressor saying they heard a grind. The service advisors are nice but unfortuneately they are completely incompetent and the dealership will rip you off. I feel completely taken advantage off. Please save yourself the grief. Find somewhere else to service your car. Don't make the same mistake I made. More
On 12/17, I dropped my car off because the clutch stopped working mid-shift. On 12/20, the Service Advisor told me that the clutch assembly had failed and that it would be $3500 between parts and labor (unbe working mid-shift. On 12/20, the Service Advisor told me that the clutch assembly had failed and that it would be $3500 between parts and labor (unbeknownst to me, they charge in excess of $170/hr for repair labor). They then proceeded to say nothing to me for nearly 2 full weeks until I started calling them on 12/30. I was told on 2 separate occasions that someone would be getting back to me shortly, which did no occur. On the morning of 12/31, I called a third time and asked to speak to the service manager, who was able to call me back in 15 minutes "that they had been waiting for a part" and that it had arrived that morning and was on the car at that moment and then he would call me back when my vehicle was repaired. No additional call was made by the dealership about the status of my car. I made the decision to arrive at the dealership in the early afternoon to either get my vehicle or get some sort of transportation to enable me to get to work the following week. When I arrived, I was told that my vehicle was ready (again, without as much as a phone call from the dealership). Upon reviewing the invoice due to the absurd price and requested all parts, which they were able to provide after noticeable concern on their part; upon inspection, both the clutch and the flywheel appeared in good condition; the only failed part was the Clutch Actuator Cylinder pipe (GM Part #55484676), a part that is external to the transmission and costs less than $30. If they had properly diagnosed this issue, the repair likely would have cost less than $500, even at the quoted $179/hour technician rate. This is despite telling them that there was no apparent degradation of the clutch itself before its sudden failure (i.e. odor, mushy feel). Based on the expensive mis-diagnosis, the absurd hourly pricing (nearly double what is billed by engineering firms for highly skilled, degreed labor), and the lack of communication over a two week period, I will never be using their services again, and will recommend anyone I interact with to look elsewhere for any repairs they may need. Our truck has been at this dealer for seven days for repairs and absolutely nothing has been done. Have not heard from the service department in two days. If the truck had not broke down on the freeway repairs and absolutely nothing has been done. Have not heard from the service department in two days. If the truck had not broke down on the freeway it would have gone to the dealer in Palmdale. Also they over charge for their so called inspection fees by by $25.00. We have AAA for 50 years and I will be calling them to tell them the shouldn’t recommend this dealership to their customers. More
