My son bought a certfied used Hyundai from this dealership 5 months ago (GREAT experience!!) He also bought the Platinum extended warranty at the same time. Yesterday he went to start his car and dealership 5 months ago (GREAT experience!!) He also bought the Platinum extended warranty at the same time. Yesterday he went to start his car and the battery was dead. He jumped it and it was fine the rest of the day but when he came out this morning it would not start again. We made an appointment with service to get the battery checked. When he arrived he spoke with Adam and Adam informed him that if it needed a new battery it would be $115 (discounted price under warranty). I had already checked and a new battery at the auto store was $100 so my son told Adam that if it was the battery he would not have them replace it (he is a young college student with not much money). Adam proceeded to tell him that of he had it tested and it was the battery that he would be charged $135 (for the "free" battery test) and that if he had it tested for anything else he would also be charged at least $135 and probably more if it was not covered under the warranty. My son then drove 30 minutes back home and I drove it to AutoZone who does a truly free battery and alternator test. Bothe the battery and the alternator tested fine so I guess i need to take the car back there myself and see if they will repair what is wrong under the warranty or if my son paid $1600 for a worthless warranty. Bottom line ... great if you are buying a car from them but avoid the service department at all costs!!! More
My wife and I shopped on-line first and we received emails and calls from 10 Hyundai dealers within a 6 hour drive of home. Though Annapolis was not the least expensive quote for the identical car, they were one of the best prices and when we stopped in to meet the sales rep it was pretty much a done deal. Billy Sadtler was unlike any car sales rep I'd ever met and at 59 I've bought quite a few cars in the past 40 years. We had already met with a few other dealers including some much closer to home but Billy made it worth the 100 mile trip to Annaoplis from MD's Eastern Shore. We entered the showroom holding our wallets tightly as we've never had a good new car buying experience before. Billy was more interested in getting to know us and our family and he also let us know he was soon to be married. After a short time it was like buying from a friend we had known for years. When it did come time to close the deal, we ended up with even more options than we had ever discussed on a showroom vehicle that was the model and color we wanted. We ended up paying less for this totally loaded 2012 Elantra LTD PZEV than any other dealed had quoted us for a lesser vehicle. Being a very experienced salesman myself and having trained many top sales people over the years, I know that people do not like to be sold anything...but they do like to buy, it's just human nature. Billy never tried to sell us anything...but he made it very easy for us to want to buy from him and Annapolis Hyundai. Even our time with the Finance Manager, Scott Warren, was very pleasant...another first at any car dealer. I've never given any relatives, friends or employees a recommendation on a car dealer before as the experiences we've had were usually not very satisfying. This time I feel very good about recommending Annapolis Hyundai and everyone we met there. More

Paul was very well informed on the car I chose and was well groomed, polite, attentive, good listner, answered all my questions and in the end sold me the car I wanted. Our experience with this dealership has been outstanding from start to finish. We first went in to buy our 24yr his first new car, a 2012 Accent. He was very knowledgeable and never pushy in that usual car salesman kind of way and you could tell he was sincerely interested in getting my son in a car he would be happy with. The finance guy Scott was a pleasure to work with as well, he was very patient in explaining everything to our son since this was his first time getting an auto loan in his own name. We all left the dealership very happy. A month later my car was totaled and I went back to Paul for another Hyundai, this time an Elantra GLS. Again, he was awesome and spent quite a bit of time with me weighing my options. He even came in on his day off to help us take delivery of the car! I ended up with a car I absolutely love and yet another great experience with the dealership! Thanks everyone! More

As an engineer, my communication style tends to focus on the details; Paul was able to accommodate. Due to my specific circumstances (my prior car was totaled), Paul was able to push for an outstanding price in my favor. When we did finally make direct phone/visit contact, Paul honored my request of minimum trips to the dealership by having the car ready for my inspection, pick-up, and purchase with all custom details arranged (options, programming, manuals, plates, ...). The service department appeared to have mastered key technical details for my car that I was unable to have done locally (on a similar model). My only regret is that I do not live closer to this dealership for potential service to the new vehicle. More
