Contacted Honda, they did replace a cracked light but my alignment was out causing car to pull and charged me $89.95 to align just 1 week after purchasing it. It was used and did not buy warranty. I get it, car was used, but when you have customer spend that kind of money, take care of them. That said, the sales guy was super great. More

Must Read Before Going Here!!! This is my experience with Andy Mohr here in Bloomington Indiana. I recommend that parent let their young drivers read this as I had my daughter with This is my experience with Andy Mohr here in Bloomington Indiana. I recommend that parent let their young drivers read this as I had my daughter with me during this experience and one she will never forget. Let me first give you the details. We were looking at a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe and the asking price was $9,700.00. We were also interested in an extended warranty and since I wanted my daughter to do the homework on this car, I had her call Andy Mohr to email over pricing information. Peron who answered the phone said they couldn’t do that and that we would have to discuss when we came in. (Take away 1: If they can’t do something as simple as send over some pricing and information about warranties on one their own cars on the lot..don’t waist your time with that dealership). Jumping ahead a little so you have an understanding of the monies, they wanted $2,700 for a 3 year extended warranty. So if we walked in and said “we will take it” without any negotiating, we would pay approximately $13,579.00 (out the door). $9,700 for the car + 7% sales tax + $2,700 extended warranty + $500 for all the crazy fees they charge. The KBB value on this particular Hyundai was between $8,000 - $9,600. Here is where you really have to pay attention. After test driving the car, we liked it and wanted to see what we could do to purchase. We sat down with Jason, our sales rep, and explained that we wanted to see the options on the extended warranty (which we tried to get early from that simple phone call). Jay, the finance guy comes over to show us all the different warranties and then says “ready to wrap the deal up”. I did laugh a little and told Jay that we haven’t even got to figuring out a price yet, so he needed to relax. Jay left at that point. The next words out of Jason’s mouth was “what is your monthly budget”. I told Jason that I don’t care about the monthly payment at this point, that I want to know what we are paying for the vehicle first. (Take away 2: Figure out what you are paying for a vehicle BEFORE you even discuss monthly payments). Jason went on to say that they were not trained to negotiate that way, that they were to focus on the monthly payment and they he HAD to put down a monthly payment to do be able to go talk to the sales manager about any negotiations. (Take away 3: If this happens to you..walk out!). I told him fine, but it is irrelevant, and I gave him the number $250 a month, and told him we would give $10,500 out the door. $2,000 cash and then finance $8,500. The next thing I know Jason walks over with a print out of all these options of monthly payments. Of course they are all based on that $250 number that he had to have. I told Jason to get that out of my face because I want to know what I am paying for the car first. (Take aware 4: If a dealership isn’t going to listen to what you are saying..walk out) Jason leaves and Geremy the sales manager comes over (this is where is gets dicey). Puts his hands behind is head, leans back, and sales, no way we can do this, maybe if it was $100 because we are loosing money on this car. (Take away 5: Yes the car lots have to make money, but if they are telling you they are loosing money on the prices they are advertising and they are over KBB value..it’s probably not true.). After Geremy walks away, I discuss with my daughter a little more, and we decide to offer $11,000 out the door and will finance $9,000. To speed up this story, they came back and said they still can’t do it. I go up to the table that Jason keeps going to with Geremy and tell them I will give them $11,500 out the door, and we will pay $3,000 of it today. Geremy plays on the calculator for a minute and says $11,600 (so he can feel like he won). We shake hands and everything seems to be good to go. We waited for over an hour and half for the financial guy to get ready which was really frustrating. The sales rep started talking politics with me while we were waiting and I warned him that we may have not voted for the same person, so might want to pick another subject. We finally are ready to sign the paperwork, and when we get to the final loan document, they have down that we are putting $3,000 down and then are paying the $11,600! I tell Jay, that the $11,600 was an out the door price and that we would put $3,000 down and finance $9,600. Jay, goes and gets Geremy. Geremy walks in and looks at me and says there was obviously a misunderstand, that the price we agreed on was based on top of the $3,000 down. Let’s do some simple math: $11,600 + $3,000 = $14,600 which is more than they were asking! Remind you that I told Jason the sales rep in the very beginning that I was NOT paying $9,700 for that vehicle and that I didn’t want to waist either of our time if that were going to negotiate. Geremay storms out of the office, doesn’t say sorry, kiss my butt or anything. At this point we walk out. Once we get in the car, I tell my daughter to stay in the truck because I wanted to have a few extra words with Geremy. When I walked back in I explain how what they did made no sense and was a waist of 3 hours of my time. Jay was standing next to me during this conversation and then followed me outside after my words with Geremy. Jay is patronizing me and saying how he understands and then says that he is going to personally call or text me that evening with an explanation of what went on. Of course I never heard from anyone. At least we have a happy ending, the next day we found another 2009 Hyundai that had a few more miles at another dealership, was priced right with KBB and we were in and out of the dealership within an hour. (Take away 6: As I told my daughter, don’t think any car is the only car as there will always be another one and that it is ok to walk away). More

Sean Sailes was a dream come true. Although a long-time Honda owner, I had my current vehicle for 16 years and a lot has changed. Sean helped me explore and ultimately buy an Accord Hybrid, that I love. As a new owner I also know I can go back to Sean with any questions I have. I've had great experience with the service center in the past, and Sean represents everything I wanted to see in a salesperson. My only disappointment was having my husband's name added to every document associated with the purchase (not Sean's call). This has not been the case for the two vehicles I previously purchased on my own from Honda (although they were not financed through them as this one was). More
