I was striking out until I worked with Yvonne who did whatever she could to help me. Yvonne was always reachable via email or phone call and was able to provide me with a loaner car while they were fixing mine so that I could continue with my normal daily routine. Once my car was ready, the process was quick and easy and everything was perfect. Overall, my experience was incredible and I will always choose Champion! More

Soon after purchase I took it to Champion for a check the service history, and perform all recommended factory scheduled maintenance services (services I could have done myself but went to dealer only for warranty documentation). Once all the services were performed, my vehicle had all factory recommended maintenance services for my model Ram up to 70K miles. Even with doing all of this and oil changes every 3000 miles, the motor failed at 87k. I had it towed to my normal mechanic. One of the most trusted shops in the city (check the reviews across all platforms) Darrell's Alignment and Brakes on west Washington street. When they looked at the truck they called and told me to come pick it up because it had internal motor noise sounding like a spun main bearing or thrown rod, and they do not do internal engine work. Darrell's stated that I did not owe them any fee (as any honest shop would do) because all they did was start the vehicle and immediately heard the engine was gone. The evening of Wednesday June 25th I had my truck towed from Darrel's, to Champion Dodge on W 96th street since I was covered under warranty. They service lady (I think her name is Yvonne) called upon receipt of my vehicle and told me don't worry my vehicle is under warranty and they will get it looked at and taken care of. She also informed me that I had two more free oil changes remaining on my warranty and asked if I wanted the oil change done if it is determined not to be a failed motor. I replied sure. The service lady calls me back the next day and says that she made a mistake with my vin number the previous day and informs me that she does not see a warranty for my vehicle in their system. I informed her that in fact, I do have a warranty. She stated that since it’s not showing then I will need to find out what company my warranty is through. Again, she stated "don't worry" we have not done any work yet, but if the truck is not under warranty that I would need to pay $895 to have them tear down the motor for a diagnosis because of the noise coming from the engine. I told her I would get my warranty information and get back with her. I called the customer service number for FCA and a case was created. A case manager from FCA called me and stated that they do not show coverage for my vehicle and informed me to go to the dealer where I purchased the truck to get the information. The service lady called me back and I explained to her that I was trying to retrieve my warranty information. I spent more than week back and forth with Luke from FCA trying to resolve this. No luck with the out of town (Ohio) dealership either. I determined that after a week and a half of not having a vehicle. I was done playing games and handed the information to my attorney. So, I decided instead of paying Champion over $8,000 for a new engine, I would go with a different mechanic. All other reputable shops in Indy charge $5500-$6400 for the same service with an upgraded motor addressing the original 4.7 V8 issues that cased so many motor failures (check reviews for 4.7 Jeep/dodge/Chrysler engine failure at low miles). I called Champion to let them know that I had no luck with Luke from FCA and I would be sending a tow truck for my Ram. The service lady then said I have a $125 balance for a diagnostic fee before she can release my vehicle... At this point I was puzzled because no work had been authorized, and I was also told no work has been performed. We agreed to wait for me to get my warranty information. I asked her why I was being charged a diagnostic fee?? I also pointed out that she told me there cannot be a diagnosis without tearing down the engine, and she replied rudely "ok if you don't want to pay, I'll talk my manager and see what I can do". She called me back and said that since the vehicle had been towed into the shop and they LOOKED at it then they had to pay the mechanic an hour for his time. I asked, "even without customer consent for work"? She proceeded to make her case, but I cut her short and stated " Ok I’m not going to let champion hold my truck hostage for $125". I was transferred to another lady to pay the ransom by phone. I requested a receipt documenting the diagnosis invoice to be sent to me by mail or email, her response was as if I offended her. Needless to say, I did not receive my invoice by mail or email. So today 7/11/19, five days after paying the ransom for my truck. I finally got proof of warranty from Mopar. So, I call Luke from FCA and he informs me to go to Champion and talk to the GM. I spoke with the General Manager J. Lambertson who was very polite and willing to listen. It was determined that my truck is in fact under warranty, but it is still showing under the previous owner’s name. The GM and I agreed that Champion is not at fault for the warranty situation. I then asked him about the $125 fee I was charged for a diagnostic fee, when the service lady said no work had been done and the engine had to be torn down in order to diagnose. Mr. Lambertson looked me in the eyes and politely said with a smile "you should have come to me with this before you trashed us on the service review". Wow!!! I was in shock for a couple of seconds and then replied politely with a smile "I wish I could have trashed the dealership more", and I'll be sure to add my truthful story to all the negative reviews across all platforms. I then thanked him for his time, shook his hand, and ended the conversation. So, after reading the stories on this and other sites about service writers and service managers bullying customers into giving good reviews, and being vindictive to customers who return after bad reviews... Just know it starts at the top the General Manager does the same thing. He basically confirmed that the charge was not valid and that if I spoke to him before the bad review that he would have worked with me. I'm not looking for any apology or any form of resolution. I just posting this because I'm a man of my word, and to hopefully shed more light. Update to response:7/15 posting my vin so people can see how many people, NOT DEALERS actually owned the vehicle for personal use. YOU CAN SEE FOR YOURSELF WHO IS BEING TRUTHFUL (1C6RR7GP6DS512386). My previous review of Champion cleary states the GM and I agreed; Champion was not at fault with my warranty issues. I just paid for a service that I did not receive. So why the threatening response... Now, to say I tried to commit Fraud is slander. I was in contact with FCA and Mopar for over a week under no false pretenses. This is what I mean by bullying tactics. As if I can be forced to remove a truth full review with the threat of legal action. Most of the responses from this business are immature and vindictive. How can a business be ran by people like this. More

Major Jeep Repairs Due to reduced service staff, repair took extraordinary long but dealership provided a free vehicle to me to compensate. My Jeep was given back to me Due to reduced service staff, repair took extraordinary long but dealership provided a free vehicle to me to compensate. My Jeep was given back to me before all repairs were made due to delay in getting minor parts. I agreed to this since the major elements were resolved and remaining repairs would be done ‘while you wait. Although expensive, Champion is a very clean and professional dealership with friendly staff that seem genuinely interested in providing top notch customer service. I am very happy with the service they provided. More
