ANDY MOHR CHEVY IS TRYING TO CON PEOPLE TO SELL CARS! I feel that we got dupped by Andy Mohr Chevy's sales tactics. We have bought many cars from Andy Mohr Chevy in years past and it was a good process I feel that we got dupped by Andy Mohr Chevy's sales tactics. We have bought many cars from Andy Mohr Chevy in years past and it was a good process that we had went through. In the last several years though, sales and customer service has went down hill. We were very interested in purchasing a used car this week from Andy Mohr Chevy. In fact, I came and test drove it on Saturday May 18th and was interested from the get. I was told by their salesman that it was just traded in and that it hadn't been through inspection as of yet. Inspection was possibly Monday, but if we did numbers then if would get pushed to the top of the list of inspections. I wasn't doing any numbers without it going through inspection first. Salesman told me that he would give me a call Monday and let me know if/when it would go through inspection. Monday came and gone with no call. We went and looked at the car, with the same salesman, on Tuesday evening at 730pm. Keep in mind they close at 8pm. When we arrived the salesman had to go get the car from the ‘other’ lot (not the main lot where it was at on Saturday). When he returned with the car it was in the same condition (not washed, detailed nor inspected). When we were done looking this car over, the salesman went in to grab keys to another car that we were interested in as well. Before he went in, I asked him if we were the only ones interested in the car and he stated that we were the only people that have come looked at it and inquired about it at all. He comes back out and says he got some bad information about this car from his general manager. There was now someone interested, that was coming from 2 hours away, that had a check to purchase the vehicle. But he said the general manager said we had first dibs. I again stated, I wouldn’t talk numbers until the vehicle was inspected but we were very interested. He came back out and stated that if we put $2500 on a credit card we could return with the rest after inspected and pay the rest. I gave him a number that I would pay for a vehicle and what I would put down to hold the vehicle. They weren’t interested in that and just said oh well. I checked their available inventory and as of now 1:01pm on 5/22, that same vehicle is still available to purchase. When I called today to inquire about the vehicle as a new customer, first it was available but after I explained what had happened on Tuesday, the story changed to the person who had supposedly came down with a check got there at 7:59pm and the car was marked sold at 9:17pm. So, you’re telling me – someone who had a check in hand to purchase said vehicle and was on their way to give check to Andy Mohr Chevy, they didn’t have the car already on their main lot to show this customer? They didn’t have it washed or detailed and just show dirty cars? The car is still available to purchase on their website and when you call? Their story changed AFTER I called to inquire about the car again? Funny how we were the only ones interested right before closing time and then suddenly someone has a check? These fools are trying whatever they have to do to get you to put money on credit cards, give them money in hand, and possibly sell you a bad product. This will be the last time we look at any Andy Mohr dealerships and I will make sure to pass the word to anyone I know looking for a new or used car. I will make sure to tell them to look elsewhere. I had originally thought I wouldn't come back after some previous bad experiences with this dealership. The past two visits have started to change my perspective.
