"DO NOT" visit this Honda dealer unless your'e only interested in buying a Honda. After talking with salesman I travelled for an hour from the east bay to check out and buy a used car (Nissan) found interested in buying a Honda. After talking with salesman I travelled for an hour from the east bay to check out and buy a used car (Nissan) found on the internet Salesman did not give me the time of day when I arrived, too busy selling new cars. Handed me off to a rookie salesman. Nice guy, but did not have a clue as to their inventory or used car warranty. Rookie salesman handed me off to assistant manager who had a little more experience, but did not seem very interested. Asked him if they were willing to deal....but kept telling me that the price is the price and would not move on price. Do not go to this dealership thinking that you can get a deal, because their are no deals. Any dings or marks on the car will not be fixed, also check the car out before you buy...the one we drove they had forgotten to balance the front wheels "very unsafe" over 60 mph. Also the sunvisor kept falling down and blocking my view while test driving. Seems as they do not check the cars out before they put them out on the lot. They expect you to look at it, dive it and pay them the price they are asking for it. What a shame because I tried to buy the car.. but they wont deal, again they wont deal. I do not normally complain, but the whole experience with Anderson Honda was very POOR !! Given the poor attention that they show potential customers, I would be unwilling to buy from they as they would very likely not stand behind what they sell. If I was the owner of this dealership I would whip my salesforce into shape so they would make buying a used car a pleasant exeprience for the prospective customer, rather than a very frustrating one. Again, do not visit unless you are going to buy a new car. More
Pathetic Service... Not so worthy Sales Associates.... Pathetic Service... Not so worthy Sales Associates.... Will do anything to make you buy a Car.... NO Integrity at all Most of the time the Sal Pathetic Service... Not so worthy Sales Associates.... Will do anything to make you buy a Car.... NO Integrity at all Most of the time the Sales Rep does not know what he is stating about the car!!! My car buying process was nothing but just a marketing pitch where they compelled me into buying a car saying you can always revisit this deal if required at a later time... but then once you buy the car, everything changes and it becomes almost impossible to get an answer to even the simplest question because the sales folks are working on their next victim!!! worst car dealer i have ever seen in Bay Area... Please DO NOT fall into the traps at this dealership... There is no recovery after that. Trust me, you don't want to go this dealer and regret for the rest of your life!!! More
Be aware!!! Avoid buying any extend Honda Care program with Anderson Honda. Anderson Honda claimed that IF your Honda Care contract is never been claimed, you WILL receive FULL REFUND on your Honda Ca with Anderson Honda. Anderson Honda claimed that IF your Honda Care contract is never been claimed, you WILL receive FULL REFUND on your Honda Care Contract program. Maybe it's true if you never involve in an total-loss accident. But for customers who were in a total-loss car accident, your “Full-Refund claim” contract will not be honored. We are in the exact same situation with another reviewer “BenBudiman” posted on 8/31/2007. In 2007, we purchased a new Honda Odyssey from Anderson Honda. The finance department claimed that “if you purchase an extend Honda Care program with Anderson Honda, you will receive Full Refund from Anderson Honda if your car does not file any claim during the contract term”. So we made a purchase for our new minivan for 8 years/100000 miles coverage. However, we involved in a car accident in 2010 and the minivan was totaled. We never used the Honda Care during the contract term but since the car was totaled we tried to get a full-refund for our involuntary-terminated contract. But Anderson Honda said the contract was terminated before the contract is expired so we could only receive partial refund. I was in shock from what I just learned, the Director of the Finance Department, Charlene Heinzig, handed me a name card said she could get me a good deal for future Honda sales and would give us good rate. Do you think I will buy any car from Anderson Honda again? Never going to happen in my lifetime. More
1st time visit, I received email says there is a demo car on sale which is properly 15% less than normal price then I called them and they scheduled second day for me for that car. However, when I reached th on sale which is properly 15% less than normal price then I called them and they scheduled second day for me for that car. However, when I reached there I was told that car has been sold. They did not even give me a call before I came which made me really upset. So, I moved on discussing with another one and we did not make a agreement on the price that date. I received a call from the salesman after one week and tried to persuade me that was a good deal but I still did not accept it. Another week later, she called me again and told me that the sale event is over and the price is even 500 dollars more. Since they are serious about this sale and I thought it might be a good one. So I called them to see whether they could still honor the on-sale price. After she checked with her manager and gave me a call and asked whether I'm serious. I said yes and we made another appointment next date. I was on time but she showed up one hour later. After several rounds, she told me that the manager could not do the price and want to charge me $500 more. I feel really pissed off and wasted two hours today. People should definitely stay away from this dealership and the price they put on advertisement is not true. More
I have been taking my vehicle to Anderson Honda for a couple of years now. I always see Tim. He is always friendly and helpful. I recently had a problem with my car, A rather old Accord. I was faced with couple of years now. I always see Tim. He is always friendly and helpful. I recently had a problem with my car, A rather old Accord. I was faced with a large repair bill, and instead of pushing for me to get my old car fixed he suggested I talk to Les in sales. That it may make more since to by a new car that to try to patch together my old one, one more time. I'm so grateful for having a service department I can trust and a salesman that could help me into a new car I just love. I know I sound like a commercial but it's true. More
We had very negative experiences at two other Honda dealers. At Anderson, we were treated with honesty and respect. The entire transaction was very straight forward. What a refreshing change. First, service at this dealership SUCKS. The saleswoman is stone-cold and no smile. What kind of customer service is it? If she doesn't like her job, I strongly recommend her to quit. Second, the saleswoma is stone-cold and no smile. What kind of customer service is it? If she doesn't like her job, I strongly recommend her to quit. Second, the saleswoman has weak knowledge on the vehicle she is selling. When we ask about suspension and handling between different models, she fails to give a solid answer. Third, no much choices are available at this dealership because it is relatively small. Overall, our experience with this dealership is very unpleasant, and it even leads to negative impression on Honda. More
Beware when you purchase a new car from this dealership. Beware when you purchase a new car from this dealership. I purchased a new Honda Odyssey 2001 6 years ago, and was talked into buying Honda Care with Beware when you purchase a new car from this dealership. I purchased a new Honda Odyssey 2001 6 years ago, and was talked into buying Honda Care with guarantee from "Mr. Anderson" that if I do not use it, the full value will be refunded. However, recently I called the finance department to get the "full refund" because my car was declared total loss by the insurance company, they would not give me a full refund, because the contract had been broken. To me, this is a big sign of bad customer relationship. What the person did not know was I was on the market to purchase 2 new cars. Well, I gave my business to capital Honda. They are more than willing to sell me the new cars. More
I contacted Anderson Honda for an Internet quote on July 28th. Robert S., Fleet/Internet manager sent back a detailed quote showing the car sales price, taxes, DMV, etc. I was able to get my questions answe 28th. Robert S., Fleet/Internet manager sent back a detailed quote showing the car sales price, taxes, DMV, etc. I was able to get my questions answered by e-mail and did not get any calls pressuring me to buy a car. I had already done a lot of price research on Edmunds.com, Consumer Reports new car buying report, and contacted other dealers. His price was very competitive. When I did talk with Robert by phone, he was very professional and straightforward about his price. I questioned him about dealer add ons I encountered with other dealers and there were none, which agreed with his quote. He returned my calls quickly. I live in Marin County, north of San Francisco. Anderson Honda is more than 50 miles from where I live. I ended up buying from a dealer in Marin. If I had not found something acceptable close to home, I would have driven to Anderson to buy from Robert. I encourage Internet car shoppers to give Robert and Anderson a try for an online quote. Do your homework first so you know what price, what model, and features you want. From my shopping experience I found it best to call the dealership Internet department if you don't get a fast enough response for a quote. That way you can get your information quickly for comparison. A slow response doesn't mean lack of interest. More
