I have been visiting dealers in the Upstate shopping. I happened to see the truck I purchased online and decided to stop by and check it out. A shiny black 2016 F350 Super Duty Lariat. If I won't have known better I'd swear it was brand new. Low,low,low mileage and every amenity I have ever seen in a truck. This was my dream come true. On the next Saturday my wife and myself went to go and see it so she could make a decision if she like it or not. She fell in love at first sight. We went in with our salesperson, Mike Campbell and started discussing options on the purchase. Mike took our offer to his manager, Steve Townsend, and within 15 minutes we came to terms. That afternoon me and my wife left in our newly purchased truck. This was a different car experience, no back and forth haggling or pressure from the sale staff. Transparent Negotiations Saw a listing on the Anderson Ford Mazda web site for a model car my son was interested in and notified my son. Instead of going out of town to look at similar cars, I suggested we first stop at Anderson Ford for a look see and potential test drive. Upon our arrival we were greeted by David who was more than capable of describing the car. He not only pointed out the features and capabilities but, and I should say "AND" it's drawbacks. No "smoke and mirrors" just hard facts. We additionally discussed possible avenues of finance. Given all the information received, some may say information overload, we decided to take it for a test drive. At the conclusion of the test drive we were very interested in purchasing. Now here is where we shifted gears and literally cruised to the finish or purchase as it were. We initially had some reservation but this is when Steve, the Sales Mgr, stepped in with the" warm and fuzzy". LOL. Not only did he address our only real concern but explained it like like we were talking with a family member or close friend! Negotiation was quick and friendly. No long drawn out affairs that some dealers utilize to wear you down until you are exhausted. Paperwork was a breeze and while we finished "dotting the I's and crossing the T's, Steve had the car detailed and ready to go! What more can you ask for? Later discovered that the vehicle is not new, but a service loaner vehicle with 1400 miles on it. When confronted, the sales manager became very rude and tried to force me to purchase it as is. More
