I received a recall notice for my 2015 Ford Edge. The recall involved replacing faulty brake hoses. I made an appointment for the repair. My appointment was scheduled for 7:00 a.m. I waited for 3.5 hours for the service to be completed. After signing the paperwork, I could not find my car. Luckily, a member of the sales staff, noticed me wandering around the parking lot. My car was located and brought to me. My experience with the service department was not positive. The staff seemed distracted. I purchased my car at Sid Dillon and I will be returning there for any future service needed. I've only bought 2 cars in my 24 years of life, this being one of them. Joe was very friendly and walked me around and showed me the options that were available for what I was looking for, however when being one of them. They did no work in showing me what options were included, how certain features worked, or anything, I pretty much sold myself the car. Once I had decided to purchase, we got to the finance area, he claimed that salesmen there makes no commission on selling cars (I highly doubt that), and definitely took advantage of my shyness and obvious unknowing how to buy a car or negotiate. In the end I paid an above average amount for the car I bought for the condition it was in (a few smaller dents and scratches). A few weeks later when the post-purchase excitement wore off, I felt taken advantage of, and would not recommend any of my friends to this dealership. More
I have a 17 year old Ford Ranger. I was told a Ford service department probably would know more abut an older vehicle. Set up an appointment to have the alternator checked. Took my pickup to them. Was called and told battery needed to be replaced and the starter replaced. Also engine cooling fan had a crack. The battery and starter were only about two years old. I was told it would cost $1300 to have replaced. I said the pickup wasn't worth $1300. I asked about the alternator, was told it would cost have have an analysis done on the alternator, and would need a new battery before it could be done. I said the battery and starter didn't need replaced and wasn't paying $1300 I went to pick up the pickup in the morning and they could not find any paper work or find the keys. Waited for a half hour. Finally some papers were printed out, but they didn't know here the keys were. I said I was just going to leave after waiting for a long time . They said I had to pay $89 dollars. Never saw the papers, I said I would not pay, they said I would be sent to collections. I said fine, do that! I took the pickup elsewhere, got a knew alternator. Battery and starter were good. More
Traveling thru from Wi and needed an oil change. I called around 4:45 and they got me in and out fast. Did a great job, Clean facility, knowledgeable and kind. Humiliate a woman Went to look at 2009 truck. Had 204,000 miles on it. Took it to a mechanic to check it over and had some work needing done. No budging on their price. Went to look at 2009 truck. So when no budge before I could think the guy was saying “guess it’s not the truck for you” and sent me walking away feeling humiliated. What an xxx because that night I checked the truck and price was dropped $500. xxx could’ve done that with me. Now it’s down $1,000. Could’ve sold that truck to me who was willing to buy it with its high miles. Losers. Years ago losers who passed salvaged on as “used” and still losers now. Never give them a chance More
