Took my car in for a recall notice. Was quoted about 90 minutes when I called to schedule the appointment. I was in and out in an hour and they provided a courtesy wash and vacuum. Brought the car for the oil change and its first service. Everything went very smoothly and Mario, the service representative was attentive. The waiting area was very clean and had 2 working vending machines as well as a coffee station and complimentary donuts. The whole Service Department seems to work really well. Service department is the worst and is hurting the other departments within the dealership...........In June I had regular maintenance on my Forte including tire rotation. After a few days go by I feel this departments within the dealership...........In June I had regular maintenance on my Forte including tire rotation. After a few days go by I feel this sound coming from the car in the wheel area (it was like a thud sound and it changed based off of speed. So I bring the car back. After the techs look at it they said they could not here anything. Nicole the one working my service, said call me if you hear it again and we have someone ride with you so you can point it out. Ok fine. Well it came back a few weeks later, I bring it in a 2nd time to have it looked at during the same time I had a battery issue. Well this is when it gets bad. The person handling the car on put in for the battery, even after I told him the sound was back. Come to find out he never entered it in to the work order. And well there is more to the Ian story, enough said. Well I ended up taking back a third time. And so the third time was the charm. However the diagnosis didn't make sense. The tech Mike said it was bulges in the rear tires and they need to be replaced. But why did the previous two techs not find that same issue of the buldges. And if that was or is the issue why did it not continue over the last few months. I am unhappy with the service department, timeliness of this issue, and the fact they want to charge me for the tires. The Sales Department get an A++, Parts Department an A and service department F-. If this goes to corporate this is the 7th KIA vehicle we have had and never has the service been this poor.
