Easy, enjoyable experience at Anchor My husband and I had been putting off replacing my 12-year-old car for months because, quite frankly, the car buying experience is not exactly a "fun" My husband and I had been putting off replacing my 12-year-old car for months because, quite frankly, the car buying experience is not exactly a "fun" weekend activity. We had been to another Subaru dealership in the area, where we got up and left after they scoffed at our initial offer and proceeded to high-ball us. When we pulled up to Anchor, our defenses were up and we were ready to fight. To our pleasant surprise, the staff completely disarmed us from the moment we walked through the door. We were introduced to Bill, who would be our salesman. He took time getting to know us and what our needs were in a new vehicle. He guided us through a test drive, all the while remaining pleasant, informative, and all-around superbly professional. When we finally got around to talking numbers, my husband and I both remarked that Bill really acted as more of an agent than a salesman. We quickly agreed to a fair price that I think really benefited both parties, and that was it. No fuss, no war tactics, no up-selling. The finance manager, Carl, walked us through all of the paperwork quickly and efficiently, and we made an appointment to pick our car up the next day. From start to finish everyone that we interacted with was courteous and professional. The experience was low pressure, low stress, and informative. We left with exactly what we needed and nothing more. This is how car buying should be! More
More Dealerships Need People Like Mike Hersey On Halloween Day we decided that we needed to go out looking for another vehicle. We both worked from home but my husband needed to start commuting the week after. We only had one vehicle...because that's all we needed at the time. We had gone to Metro Jeep, where we bought the Jeep we currently had. After almost two hours, we walked out. Literally, we said "we're done with this ridiculousness" and walked out. We then headed over to Anchor Subaru. We decided beforehand that if I got a car, it would have to be an AWD vehicle because well, we live in New England. SNOW! When you think of AWD, Subaru obviously comes to mind first. When we walked in, Mike Hersey was the first person we saw. He quickly and politely showed us where the new vehicles were that would qualify for a lease. My husband and I took our time, narrowing the field down by ourselves, and then we asked someone to call Mike and have him come outside to where we were. That is when the car buying experience changed to something I/we have never experienced before in our lives. Mike was very personable, funny, and knowledgeable. An all around decent down to earth guy. I didn't keep track, but I think we were there for 3-4 hours. I don't say that as a bad thing, but as a in depth, making sure we knew the ins and outs of vehicles, and making xxxx sure we picked the absolute perfect car for me. I ended up with a 2017 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Sport. Can I just tell you how much i LOVE this car?!?! It is awesome! My Aunt actually called me a spoiled brat the other day and has threatened to "steal" it from me. She's just jealous! HA HA Mike has been in touch a few times since Halloween Day to make sure all is ok and we are still happy with the vehicle, to let us know my plates for the car were in, etc. He also pre scheduled my first two FREE oil changes at the dealership. More places, whether they are auto dealerships, retail stores, service shops, call centers, whatever they are, need more people like Mike Hersey. I give him an A++++ for all around customer service! I came to Anchor Subaru to pick up my new vehicle and was received by friendly, knowledgeable and experienced staff which made the entire process easy and enjoyable for me. My sales consultant, Kevin Falcone, walked me through all steps of using the new vehicle and provided me with the information needed so that I could feel at ease about driving off in my new car. He was truly helpful and continued to help me after the initial purchase. I am confident that I can always reach out to Anchor Subaru in the future and receive excellent service. More

He was welcoming, listened to what we needed, and knew a lot about the vehicle. He did not pressure us, and he stayed focused on our needs. We bought a car from him, and when we picked it up, he gave us a thorough introduction to it, staying past closing time to make sure our questions were answered. Everyone we encountered at the dealership was warm, welcoming and positive. I highly recommend this dealership and Bill Johnson. More
