Robert, Sales Manager, insisted that I pay additional $3,000 for add-ons, which on the listing clearly says the dealer installed accessories CAN be purchased for additional cost. I declined to purchase the accessories and offered to purchase at the full listed price. Robert stated that Anaheim Hyundai purposely list low and said the accessories are a MANDATED to be purchased for additional $3,000. He refused to sell me the car at the full listed price of $19,499 and I walked out. This is a clear violation of California Vehicle Code section 11713.1(e). I will be filing a complaint with the State. Also posting my experience with Anaheim Hyundai for deceptive advertising which violates Business and Professions Code § 17500, a crime to engage in false or deceptive advertising to consumers about the nature of a product or service. 1 star is one to many. They hounded me non- stop to make a deal they went so far to offer to deliver the vehicle after I told them we would go in on Monday to finalize. They hounded me non- stop to make a deal they went so far to offer to deliver the vehicle after I told them we would go in on Monday to finalize. Delivered vehicle on a Saturday they took my trade I was suppose to get $3,000 back from them on Tuesday and my tires from trade in was part of the deal. It’s now 7 days and they are refusing to give me back my check, and my tires on trade. They are waiting to get the deal finalized and funded! This was written in the contract and now they are back peddling. I knew it was to good to be true! They are sneaky and give car sales men a bad bad name! RUN! Do not do business with these people they don’t honor contracts or their word. No integrity I guess I will be seeing them in small claims court to get my $3,000 check and my tires. CarMax had offered to purchase my car for the same amount and I would have walked out with a check then and there like I have before! No xx! Go to CarMax where they have humble honest people working. Just to humor them we went inside to run some numbers. All they came back with was a total price and REFUSED to provide a breakdown of the total cost of the car, Finally they admitted there was over $4,000 in junk fees added, which they would not detail. They claimed if they provided a full price we would shop it around ofr a better deal. I have never in my life been to a car dealer where they have refused to show an itemized list of the total cost. They then depreciated the car by 60 % over a 3 year lease and wanting a monthly payment of over $900. What an outrageous scam they have running there. Its no surprise their dealer rating is less than a 2. Russel Westbrook should be ashamed of how he is running his business. More
honestly i'd hoped that this review would have been a 4-star one at least. but somehow every experience i had with this dealer was worse than the last. what felt like my first foray into a satisfying and 4-star one at least. but somehow every experience i had with this dealer was worse than the last. what felt like my first foray into a satisfying and transparent car-buying experience was instead a whole cluster cuss of deceit and empty promises. firstly let me say that Brian, the salesman who helped me with purchasing a car, was very professional and kind. i understand that the job of a car salesman is to cater to the customer, inflate the positives of a prospective vehicle, and generally make the customer feel important. Brian did all of those things very well. however, it's their manager Hector who i had an issue with. it was very much the "good cop / bad cop" dynamic between them. Hector involved himself with a tone and demeanor that was intimidating and anything but professional. our very first experience here was to test-drive a car for my partner, and when we decided that we simply could not afford the vehicle, Hector cornered my partner outside as we tried to leave, shoving a paper in her face and pressuring her to buy the car on the spot. i should've seen that as a sign to never come back, but unfortunately i did. i was presented with a fair deal for a used Mazda. signing the paperwork was a nightmare. there is a severe lack of communication between the sales people and the financing department across the street. 90% through signing the papers and they start asking me for a down payment, which i clearly specified to Hector & Brian that i did not have the funds ready. it was a huge fiasco that took over 4 hours. then i was promised that the car would be ready to pick up in three days. I show up three days later and Hector informs me that the car isn't ready, and to wait a few more days. I call a few days later, and surprise... car still isn't ready. Finally, over a week later, the car has been detailed and re-painted. with my patience worn to the bone I just wanted to shake their hand and get the heck out of there. i did a quick scan of the car, said my thank you's, and left the lot. this mistake cost me hundreds of dollars. i failed to notice a crack on the windshield until i was a few minutes away. Brian convinced me that they could potentially repair it, but after noting that the dealer had made no record of the crack, he insisted there was nothing they could do. It's a 7-inch crack across the windshield and you're telling me nobody noticed it? i feel like a schmuck. their "30-day warranty" means virtually nothing, even when it's a safety concern. of course I blame myself in part for failing to notice the crack sooner, but needless to say that my experience with Anaheim Hyundai overall was abysmal and immensely disappointing. please don't buy your car here, you will be ripped off. guaranteed! I come, see the car, do a test drive, then the horrible, rude, and frankly disrespectful manager comes out to tell me it's been sold. I purchased a late model van from this dealership. I paid full price plus tax and over 25% extra stuff (which did not need,Elo GPS, extended warranty, and othrr stuff which dont have any idea). The c I paid full price plus tax and over 25% extra stuff (which did not need,Elo GPS, extended warranty, and othrr stuff which dont have any idea). The car was delivered to my place about 150 miles away. Before purchasing I was able text sales people back and forth at least 10 times. When I got the car from dealership I noticed there were some issues, with carpet in cargo area and the car had only one FOB/ Key. I asked the delivery person who works at dealership and he assured me after going back to dealership he will bring it to his Manager attention and I will get call from them. In any case he had bunch of papers that needed to be signed. There was not 2nd copies for me to keep so he told me it would be email all to me. Since I only have one FOB/key and inorder to make second copy I need some documentation to show to other dealership or locksmith. It has been over 3weeks I have not been able to talk to right person at this dealership and they do not answer the texts. At two separate occasions I was told they will have the Manager or whoever in charge to call me. It has been 3 weeks. More
