I want to start this off saying that buying the car here was the smoothest process I have ever been through. I bought a 2015 3500hd duramax from here with 60k for mileage. I had the vehicle for 2 days and d was the smoothest process I have ever been through. I bought a 2015 3500hd duramax from here with 60k for mileage. I had the vehicle for 2 days and drove maybe 50 miles before it left me stranded. 3 weeks later I still have no truck, and I found out that they are doing electronic diag when they can fit it in. Not acceptable. How does an ecu fail 2 days after getting it with nothing showing up on the used car inspection? I'm sure the blew threw the inspection because they are so backed up, and I am the one who got screwed. More
No-nonsense, more like absolute nonsense. After expressing some frustration, we were offered a different 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT at a higher trim level, therefore it was more expensive and out of our price range. My husband then messaged the Alpine Buick GMC Facebook page where he was told he was speaking to one of the owners. The owner states: “It appears our sister store in Colorado Springs sold the truck 30 minutes before you committed to the deal. I can send you the paperwork with the vin number. Let’s see if my husband can find another similar truck you said they offered you a more expensive truck? Did you like the features? lets see if we can work you a special deal on that unit. It’s obviously not in our best interest to upset you. These are times that we are doing our best to keep employees working and employed. We need every unit possible sold. We are really sorry for the issue we caused you” We let them know what our budget was and stated we would be willing to throw in a $1500 down in addition to our budget. We were told that they would be wiling to do the more expensive SLT for our budget plus $1500 down. We were given a name and phone number to contact Aaron, the GM for more details. They then state “we won’t be able to finish up until tomorrow, but the truck is yours I promise Sold tag and all” The next morning, my husband reached out to Aaron and was sent a link for a truck with a different VIN than the one that was promised by the “Owner” on Facebook. Aaron stated “I didn’t know that truck existed. They own that truck for way more then my truck I’ll loose 8k on that truck My truck is loosing 3k.” My husband and I took a look at the new truck offered by Aaron and agreed that it would also be a good fit. We received a proposal for the truck and set up a delivery date of Monday, April 20, 2020 at 1:30PM. Shortly before delivery was supposed to happen, we were told the truck was not theirs as financing from the trade-in fell through. We were asked to wait 2 hours and instead of offering us the original truck that was PROMISED to us, he offered us down-graded models. My husband then posted 1-star reviews about our experience as we were feeling incredibly screwed over and did not feel that waiting 2 hours would do anything since we were now being offered downgraded trucks. Fast forward to Tuesday, April 21, 2020, I noticed the truck was still listed on their website. I reached out to see if it was available and to my surprise, I received an e-mail back from another associate informing me that it was. I e-mailed back and informed them that we were told the truck was unavailable. I later received and e-mail from Aaron, the GM stating that they would not be doing business with us because we tried to “strong-arm” them by posting reviews of our experience. The following is the review my husband posted: “ In the span of 5 days Alpine was the most frustrating roller coaster experience I have had. Initially I was offered a great deal on a Sierra 1500 to steal my business from a competitor. Once I had verbally agreed and sent out my confirmation of finance to them the truck was “sold” and I was offered a much more expensive model as a replacement. I lodged a complaint and was offered the up optioned model for essentially the same price as the original truck. I accepted and began to work on a delivery date and signed agreement; two hours before delivery I was informed that truck was not available, and they’d try to find me another (meeting the original trim level). As of right now I have been waiting on a call from “management” for an hour and a half. To reiterate the agreement was signed and I was left hanging.” As you can see, there is nothing in this review that was used to try and “strong-arm” anybody, we were feeling INCREDIBLY screwed over after having issues with MULTIPLE trucks at this dealership. 4000 miles after the 100000 mile check up with fluid changes and a tune up, which also included a brake inspection and rear brakes replaced. I decided to take my GMC 1500 in for struts and shock replace changes and a tune up, which also included a brake inspection and rear brakes replaced. I decided to take my GMC 1500 in for struts and shock replacements. I received a call telling me the transmission hoses were leaking and needing repair and that my front brakes needed to be replaced also. This just 4000 miles after I had the truck in for the 100k service. What happened in 4000 miles to create the leak and more importantly, how did brakes that were fine and good for a long time need replacement already. This appears to be a little smelly to me. Enough that I won’t be purchasing anymore vehicles there or getting my GMC or Buick worked on there again. More
I first inquired about a new truck online. I got a call from Michael and set an appointment. I thoroughly expected to be greeted by another salesperson when I arrived. Instead I dealt only with Michael. We from Michael and set an appointment. I thoroughly expected to be greeted by another salesperson when I arrived. Instead I dealt only with Michael.
