Stopped at Mike Shaw to kill some time waiting for hotel checkin time. Greeted by Levi and taken to several options of the vehicles we were looking for. We came into Mike Shaw to look at the Sierra 2500HD Duramax. The original truck I went to look at from the online sales was a long bed truck and I was looking for a shortbed. Audra Sunderlin steered me to a shortbed truck that had similar options. Audra was knowledgeable, professional and very engaging. We were at the dealership for more than 3 hours total and Audra gave us her undivided attention. I've bought several cars over the years and Audra was the most engaging sales rep I've had the privilege to work with. When we decided to buy the truck Robert provided a very aggressive offer to sell us the truck. When we were discussing rebates, discounts and such there was an initial misunderstanding between Robert and I, but he made it right and made us feel like our business was very important. Even after he initial contract numbers were settled on, Robert identified another discount we qualified for that wasn't in the initial paperwork. I don't believe many folks would have done that after numbers were agreed upon. Thank you Robert I can't recall the gentlemen’s name that went through all the financing paperwork, but he was exceptionally friendly and helpful, they even stayed until after 10pm to finish the deal....thank you very much. Our overall experience was superb. I can definitely recommend this dealership and their professionals for anyone looking for a new vehicle. More

This was by far the worst service my husband and I have ever received!! Before coming in to look at a new vehicle we contacted our local credit union and we were approved for ten thousand over the list pri ever received!! Before coming in to look at a new vehicle we contacted our local credit union and we were approved for ten thousand over the list price of the vehicle we were interested in. After test driving we let our salesman know that we were already approved for a loan and we would be using this particular credit union. He then took our information and asked what we'd be putting down as a down payment. When we said that we would not be putting anything down he said that he would not be running our credit and there was nothing that they could do for us. As we were leaving he said, "Hey if ya'll ever win the lottery come back and see me!" I have never been so insulted and I'm am extremely confused. I can guarantee you that if we ever won the lottery they wouldn't see a penny of it! More
My husband and I went to Perkins with the intention to buy a vehicle. The salesman did not come down on price at all, the interest rate he got us was too high, and he only showed us two vehicles. The atmosphere was much better, and we got a car we wanted. The saleman even called the bank and got the our interest rate lowered. It was a night and day difference between the two dealerships. My experience at Perkins was HORRIBLE. They shoved a sale down your throat with little concern about what was best for you. I was really impressed by Mike Shaw, seriously the bank lowered our interest rate because the saleman took the time to call. More
I just bought my first car from Mike Shaw in Motor City and I LOVE it!!!! I bought a SAAB and its so nice and the managers and finance guys at MIKE SHAW completely hooked me up! When I turned my truck in I was told that I could not wait, that they would not look at it until late in the afternoon. Why lie to me when the appointment was made, just tell me the truth, I had other things planned for the afternoon, because of what I had been told (that I could wait,repair in a couple of hours). This is not the way to keep a customer happy with your service dept. I also told the advisor that I had planned on looking at a new truck,while waiting, He told I could spend my time anyway I wanted. His remark should have been--Sir let me get a salesman for you and then I will see what I can do to get your vehicle repaired--but I guess service personnel do not care about your sales dept. So I did not look at your new trucks and if I do look it will not be there..If service does not care about Sales then Sales does not care about service, and that is a leadership problem that will aways hurting the customer (ME).... For our 1999 GMC Yukon your appraiser for our vehicle said we needed a new transmission. We have since had it checked out by two reputable mechanics and there is not a thing wrong with it.
