I went to Mike Shaw GMC in September 2012 to consider upgrading from my 2008 GMC Sierra 3500HD truck (purchased new from Mike Shaw in 2008) to a newer same model truck to take advantage of some technolog upgrading from my 2008 GMC Sierra 3500HD truck (purchased new from Mike Shaw in 2008) to a newer same model truck to take advantage of some technology upgrades GM has made. I needed to talk with a knowledgeable sales person about my planned use for this vehicle. I was introduced to salesman Mike Smith. Mike not only knew the the GM technical data for the truck but was at one time a contractor and was well versed in the practical use information I needed to help me make my decision regarding this purchase. As with every significant purchase, price and finance considerations were very important in helping me make my decision to purchase. Mike helped me get an excellent trade value for my old truck and found every price incentive I was eligible to receive with the purchase of my new truck. Mike then introduced me to Cindy Knoblock in Finance who helped get the best financing rate and helped me select the best option for warranty and other added cost items that fit my specific needs. Between Mike and Cindy I was able to meet my technical requirements at a price that fit my budget. I was in a bind needing a car for my daughter who had a car that was just one fix after another(it will be donated to the make a wish foundation) and on the lot was a small Honda CRV that would be perfect car that was just one fix after another(it will be donated to the make a wish foundation) and on the lot was a small Honda CRV that would be perfect for her growing family. I am not wealthy and had cashed in an old 401k that had been sitting around with very little funds in it inorder to help her. The staff was kind and understanding of my time and financial position. The whole process only took 2 hours which was a record time for me for purchasing a car. They detailed the car for me and made sure that everything looked and smelled great for my daughter. I am grateful for their courtesy and would buy another car from them any day. More

I went to buy my first used car. The staff was extremely friendly with the exception of one who I will get to in a moment. The salesperson helped me find exactly the car I wanted and worked very hard to mak friendly with the exception of one who I will get to in a moment. They worked with me and got me some very reasonable financing for my Dodge Durango. When I took it to my mechanic there was a couple of small issues with the car that needed to be dealt with. I took it back to Mike Shaw and at first was dismissed by the Manager saying that it wasnt an issue until at my insistence and two mechanics later they agreed to have the issues taken care of. For the most part I am happy with my experience, the condition of the car and that the dealership agreed to take care of the issues. I did not appreciate however being dismissed like my worries were unfounded. More

My family and I have bought many vehicles from this dealership. Every time we go here we have such a great experience and an ease of purchase. We do not like to spend all day trying to buy a vehicle when we are looking and these guys always seem to outdo themselves. Maybe it is because we have bought a lot of cars from them so they know us. I guess there should be something said for the relationship you can build with the folks at Mike Shaw. We have tried many other dealerships and NO ONE has been able to give us the service and quality that we have received from the folks at Mike Shaw. You think we would learn our lesson and not buy from any other dealer but sometimes Mike Shaw does not have the car we are looking for so we try another dealership. Needless to say we should just learn to be patient instead of wasting our time. Now why NO dealership is perfect, and yes we have had our negative experiences with a few things at Mike Shaw, but these guys stepped up and made things right. I looked around craigslist and talk with few of my friends before meeting Robert and Scot at Motor City. this two guys make it even stress free to the bear minimum as they help use with selection and better recommendation. They even went further with giving us low interest rate compare to what we got from your bank. I was to buy GMC Acadia and they ask me to test drive the 2008 Outlook Saturn, i couldn't believe it that Saturn is as good an SUV as the GMC Acadia i had in mind before meeting Robert and Scott. Haven gone through couple of SUV we finally settled for a 2009 Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring all with the special assistance from Robert and Scott. The Mazda has little over 25,000 mile and no damage. So it all came down to better offer and low interest rate on 5 years financing that finally made the deciding factor and that what a good dealer and sales person should always give to their customers. It was a great experience and time with Scott and Robert. Thanks a lot and i will surely come for another luxury car in the near future. More
