Devin, I understand purchasing a vehicle can be nerve wrecking and sometimes scary. But we really feel different about your whole auto purchase. I looked into our inventory tool and the Avalon is listed as an XLE and sold as an XLE. I believe you are referring to the Carfax report where it lists the Avalon with all the trim levels available. Speaking with our Finance Team, they remember saying that you do not need to purchase an extended service contract. On the second contract, with your co-signer, you were quoted a payment with extended warranty which you agreed to via text message. We do not use Credit Karma scores to fund auto loans. We have an Experian score of 473, TransUnion score of 626 and an Equifax of 639, which you are required to sign and see as part our Risk Based Pricing Notice form. Your original contract was based on the credit scores from the previously noted credit bureaus. After you provided a co-signer, the financed amount was $22,902.79 after tax, title, license fees and warranties. Not $32,000 as mentioned on your review. The first contract was worked with Alliant Credit Union (not Alliance Credit Union) and the final contract with your co-signer was done with Bellco Credit Union. Devin, we feel that everything was done with your knowledge and there were no “strange arrangements” to get you to buy a car. We do not practice “shady” business to sell autos. Good morning, I actually have different paperwork where the model is handwritten as Avalon XLE Plus and a screenshot where the dealer website has it listed as Avalon XLE Plus/SE as well. I brought it up with the salesman and he also mentioned it as XLE Plus and Premium. It was only after I ran the VIN through Toyota I got the exact model. I was told initially I did not need to purchase the service contract, however when I added the cosigner originally the payment went up, which I called out. I was then told I could not have the deal (the car) without the extended service. I took that as I needed to have it and therefore refuted that I wanted it. The original contract I have was set up how I wanted it. I even explained I saw no point in having it when the car is still under manufacturing warranty. I know you don't use Credit Karma and I understand that the score was lower, but when I cosigned I expected the rate to reduce significantly. The financed amount is $22,902 however the total amount paid is now $32,000. I understand where my contract is under now, but I feel I should have received paperwork after signing everything that had my account number and the loan holder information. In the text message I was agreeing that the price was better but again I was not happy I "had to get the service contract" to get the car. The only reason I complained is was after I was told that I didn't have to purchase that and that it is optional. Thanks, Devin
