Going into an appointment I knew what I wanted and the process of a test drive and then negotiating a price went rather smoothly. I must have visited a dozen or more dealerships upon moving to Oahu, and Aloha Kia in Waipahu was my last stop, and I drove away happy. I felt like I was buying from friends. No pressure, no haggling, just minor friendly negotiations about what would make me happy, and what I can afford. Chris and Aaron were the absolute best. I couldn't believe what a relaxing atmosphere this team managed to put together! Seriously, they really worked hard to make me feel like I was comfortable with the deal, because at the end of the day it is a business transaction, but they knew how to make it feel less stressful. I could write a ton more, but suffice it to say, I'd send my friends and family here if I had any on island. Wish I could've afforded that Niro Plug-in, guys!!! Haha! Ended up in a Niro Hybrid, and we are super happy with it. It has a nice 6-speed automatic (not that ridiculous CVT like most other hybrids) and it's unbelievable that it actually gets 51mpg/city! I drive it in sport mode most of the time and still that hybrid powertrain manages to stay economical. It's a true feat of engineering. Car handles amazingly, too. Like a nimble sportscar; no under or oversteer, goes where you point it. Acceleration in sport mode is fairly nice with the electric motor assist at launch. Combined hp of 160, not too shabby for the price tag. Overall, we're really happy. Glad I leased, though, because that plug-in hybrid would be the way to go if buying. Thanks guys for actually talking me out of it!!! HAHA! More
