Hawaii Dealerships were purchased late 2023 by Ken GARFF AUTOMOTIVE based in Utah. Not sure if this is why the onslaught- horrible ratings on NUMEROUS websites since. Leased 2023 hybrid electric Niro, which AUTOMOTIVE based in Utah. Not sure if this is why the onslaught- horrible ratings on NUMEROUS websites since. Leased 2023 hybrid electric Niro, which I DID love, from Leeward Dealer although first oil change Airport location. After 8 months, around 8200 miles, all electrical went.. took 2 DAYS to even talk to a person at the Honolulu dealerships location. this included chat on website, leaving urgent phone messages…emailing..no response! A miracle call went thru on day 3 and was told once car if brought in, towed, takes 2 weeks for them to even look at it, but assuming they can fix it first available appointment 2 months away. No loaners or rentals provided under warranty agreement which is 60,000 miles or 5 years. UNBELIEVABLE, and I still have to pay the $600/month lease with no car. 800 customer service number did provide a little more information but they also were unable to reach the dealerships. Imagine that, the National Customer Service has no inside way to reach their KEN GARFF dealers. They were put on hold for 1 hour, as I waited on the other line, and gave up. JOIN THE CROWD! We are now still waiting for the tow. I was to call Aloha airport Kia and give them heads up but of course I still can’t reach them. I WILL NOT leave my car with them after diagnosis due to other reviews. I assume there are a few more tows awaiting me. The airport location is crammed, filthy and not a place I want my car to be left. I will have to take a video of the car in my garage now because even with tow and left at airport for 2 weeks for diagnosis, if I am lucky, Who knows what my car will look like. GROFF AUTOMOTIVE GROUP headquarters has no obvious way to communicate with them on line and I am too tired to figure it out. The BBB, Yelp, Twitter, Consumer protection groups etc. will hear from me once this is over so I can be more accurate on the details. I am fortunate as I have, for now, alternative ways to get around but feel for those who rely on this only vehicle to get to work, take kids to school, go grocery shopping, get away from a disaster or a domestic violence situation…then what! KEN GARFF motto is WE HEAR YOU.. You have to be kidding!!! It is without saying that I MISS my Toyota!! Please consider waiting until Toyota has more inventory or until KIA gets their act together before you buy or purchase a vehicle. I, too would give them negative ratings if a choice. More

Very unreliable, long wait for mechanical services, probably because there's a lot of problems with kia vehicles. Kia in waipahu dont care about customers and the service manager said he will not put f probably because there's a lot of problems with kia vehicles. Kia in waipahu dont care about customers and the service manager said he will not put fault on his employees even though i've been waiting for 4 hours and when i asked for an update the service advisor tells me the work request is on her desk but no one told her about it so its not her fault. I recommend that you do not buy from Kia because their vehicles are unreliable just like their employees and managers. Kia dealership on Oahu are the worst compare to other dealerships i have been to. More
Been going to Waipahu Kia for last 7 years and always getting excellent service from Frank Empron, our go to service advisor. Always prompt and honest. Well, this time the damage on our Soul wasn't wor getting excellent service from Frank Empron, our go to service advisor. Always prompt and honest. Well, this time the damage on our Soul wasn't worth repairing, so unexpectly had to face the stress of finding a replacement, during this difficult times of a pandemic. So, as my wife was getting the bad news, I was waiting with my special needs son and talking story to Sales associate Darby Collado. I've been hearing the nightmares of customers at other dealerships waiting months for the car, and that wouldn't be an option during this crazy times. Long story short, we met manager Mike Camara, a shipment was arriving the next day, and we drove out with a new brand new Seltos, without any interrupts of our already chaotic life. They were both very professional, never pushy, and accomodating! I highly recommend this place to anyone. Their service, sales, and finance departments have exceeded my expectations. More

Aloha Kia by the airport has been very inconvenient in service to me for the past 5 days. I get my car regularly maintenance before the service is needed. But their first available appointment wasn’t unti service to me for the past 5 days. I get my car regularly maintenance before the service is needed. But their first available appointment wasn’t until a month later. A week later my car engine stopped at a stop light and wouldn’t go when I pressed the gas pedal. The car would start but the engine would die out. I had assumed it was maintenance needed but the engine gave off an unusual sound. The next day I told the service department I need my car looked at in fear of it breaking down and causing an accident. I had also mentioned that I assumed it was the recall on my car. She said to bring it in and I told her I couldn’t drive it because I am nowhere close to the airport to drive it there. They offered Kia Roadside Assistance and after getting my car towed to the dealership I called to ask what is the next steps on what to do. She said not to come to the dealership and they will update me whenever it gets there and what the diagnosis would be on my car. My car was taken in at noon and the service closed at 8. It was 9:00 pm that night and I still didn’t hear any updates on my car getting there or if anyone has looked at. The next day I spoke to another female advisor and asked her about an update on my car, she said that I had mentioned to them that “my car would start, but my engine would die out,” to which I added that it maybe have something to do with the recall. And before i even finished my sentence she said it had nothing to do with that in a “you’re a xxxxxxx” way, and proceeded to tell me that the tow driver drove it into the car lot. In that moment, I had told myself, why would I waste my time and lie about my car not being broke? Of course I don’t know what is or isn’t wrong with my car, I’m not a professional, YOU ARE. Why would I waste my time getting a fixed car to the dealership just for y’all to tell me “it wasn’t the engine or the recall?” She offered no help whatsoever and what options are available she just said “your advisor will contact you.” The next day I heard no updates so, I obviously contacted them again. Might I add, if you don’t call them within the first two hours of them opening, GOOD LUCK. There’s no reason to leave a voicemail, they won’t respond to it or maybe never even listen to it. So luckily my advisor had answered, he told me what was wrong with the car, to which I feel like the other female advisor owes me an apology for, and said that they don’t have any loaner cars available and because they can’t process my warranty in time, I can’t get a rental either. They told me they’d have to wait until Monday to get the part and have the technician fix it. The advisor told me, they’d give me updates, which I knew was a lie. So it’s the weekend, I’ve been without my car for going on 5 days and this dealership all around has been inconvenient and left me stranded all on top of me having to go to work. I would not recommend anyone go here and saving their time going through the terrible service that I have been through these past few days. I love my Kia Soul and treat it as my child, I don’t want to give it up but I can’t deal with this dealership anymore and hope NO ONE has to go through this at all. Also i’ll add my car is only 1-Year Old. So the dealership doesn’t care, they got the money they needed and will find any way to make sure they’ll get the most out of you and leave you stranded. More
