I PURCHASED A NEW GENISIS IN FEB 2013 . PLANNED A VACATION TO START 7 MAY PACKED THE CAR TO DEPART EARLY AM. DECIDED TO CHECK UNDER THE HOOD PRIOR TO DEPARTURE. IN ACCORDANCE WITH INSTRUCTIONS IN MA VACATION TO START 7 MAY PACKED THE CAR TO DEPART EARLY AM. DECIDED TO CHECK UNDER THE HOOD PRIOR TO DEPARTURE. IN ACCORDANCE WITH INSTRUCTIONS IN MANUAL FOR CHECKING OIL QUANTITY FOUND ONLY A TRACE OF OIL ON THE DIP STICK. HAD NO ENGINE CHECK LIGHT OR ANY OTHER INDICATION OF A PROBLEM WITH OIL. TOOK VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY TO DEALER. WAS TAKEN IN IMMEDIATELY UPON ARRIVAL, PROBLEM VERIFIED. TECHNINCIAN FOUND OIL FILTER HOUSING CRACKED. NO PART AVAILABLE UNTIL FOLLOWING DAY. SINCE WE HAD HOTEL RESERVATIONS AS WE WERE BEGINNING OUR VACATION, SERVICE MANAGER AND SALESMAN WERE ABLE TO PROVIDE US A CAR FOR US TO USE ON OUR VACATION. THEY DID EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO GET US MOVED TO THE LOANER AND ON THE ROAD IN THE SHORTEST TIME FRAME. COULDN'T ASK FOR BETTER STAFF TO WORK WITH AND WERE ABLE TO COMPLETE OUR VACATION AS PLANNED. After suffering for 6 hours on Friday, 19 April, trying to get Eastern Shore Hyundai, of which I have been a big fan of since 2010....I had to try Alan Turner. SO GLAD I DID. I have 8K miles on my 13 Santa to get Eastern Shore Hyundai, of which I have been a big fan of since 2010....I had to try Alan Turner. SO GLAD I DID. I have 8K miles on my 13 Santa Fe Sport, leased at ES in Oct last year. Thurs. a warning light popped up on the dash showing a problem with the emission system...the little engine figure. Long story short...I have dumped ES for AT. The service writer, walk around gal, mechanics (2), even a sales guy...even the cashier were perfect. I am 70...been buying new vehicles for 50 years. Never had a better experience at any dealership, anywhere in the country. ES has lost more than they will ever know. AT for president......his crew took care of me and mine, and he didn't/doesn't even know anything about it. Will tell him in person my next visit if he is on the lot/service area. Jack Sprague PS...I should add...my attempts to get my problem fixed included visits to both ES and AT webb sites, phone calls, one call even to an ex ES VIP customer service person now located at a different dealership. Everyone truly cares about your satisfaction and happiness with your car not just during the sale but after as well. Mr. Spadaro is extremely knowledgeable of the models and is great at explaining happiness with your car not just during the sale but after as well. Jason was very nice in addressing the "recall" I had received as well as other issue only seen once -- didn't blow me off when I told him it was fine now...stated they would still try to see if issue was visible to them. I cannot recommend this dealer highly enough! More
I had my car in for routine service this morning. I knew I would be waiting a while and didn't mind at all. Then I received a call and ended up with a family medical issue. I explained my situation to George and asked how much longer my maintenance would take. George was exceptional! He sped up the maintenance process and even offered me a rental if I wanted to leave immediately! He was kind and compassionate and made my scary and stressful experience much better!!! On top of that - the work was top notch (as always). Thank you, George!!! More
