East parking upon arrival, and Sales Consultants may be outside ready to greet you. I used Sam's Club Auto Buying service (TrueCars.com, same as AMEX uses) to locate a dealer in their discount network. An Internet Rep reached out to me and set up the appointment for me so the Consultant had the cars in the color combinations and trim packages I wanted to see ready to be reviewed. David Purdon was assigned to me.. and quickly brought me out to see the cars I had already requested-- time saver as no one searching for keys or inventory.. ready on the review line when I arrived. David was courteous and really knowledgeable- and definitely not pushy, aggressive or insulting in any way. My experience over the past 4 weeks of reviewing car brands included Toyota, Ford, Nissan, Infiniti, Volvo, Honda, Mazda, and Mercedes Benz revealed what we all know of as Car Sales people. In fact, I had been to the Dealers for most of these cars in Dallas, New Orleans, and now Pensacola multiple times, various dealers. And it also illustrated the difference not so much in the brand but the owners of the various dealerships.. Hyundai dealers ( 3 in Dallas-all zero stars) and (2 in New Orleans-4 stars) and finally this one in Pensacola- 5 stars, represented the best and the worst of the lot. Returning to David though-- even when we got down to pricing, he presented his offer calmly and professionally. I really thought the Hyundai line was outstanding for Safety and Technology features, but chose a quieter car in the end. David came in on his day off, actually working around his personal appointments to accommodate with a final test drive and price offer. And followed up with me in the time frame I asked for so I could evaluate the final 3 brands/cars on my list. I never felt for one moment dismissed disrespected in any way, in contrast to several of the experiences I had with other dealers. I would highly recommend a serious look at the Hyundai line..and to check in with Allen Turner Hyundai in Pensacola. While I'm sure that each of the consultants is over par, my experience with David was a standout for all the right reasons. More
